Hospital instructions said to use 5 days prior to surgery. I waited for them to send the information to the pharmacy, not realizing it was non - prescription so I didn't get it until the day before surgery (tomorrow). Will this be as effective with less bathing time? I don't see why it would matter unless I worked in a cesspool and was riddled with some kind of deadly bacteria.
Don't really know if this helps, but I have a surgery tomorrow on my upper shoulder area. Within my instructions from my doctor, I am to use the cleanse tonight and tomorrow morning. It seemed they wanted it done closer to window of the surgery.
The problem with these antimicrobial solutions are the emerging bacteria, fungus and viruses that are resistant to current antimicrobials....aka...superbugs. What we need is a different strategy on how to deal with this situation.

(Bedside stand with lamp on, open curtains showing the moon and stars outside window scene): You will shower with Hibiclens twice. Once the night before your surgery… (Lamp turns off and open window shows sun coming up)… and once the morning of your surgery. (Showerhead scene with soapy hair): The night before your surgery, shower using Hibiclens. If you’re going to wash your hair, face, or genital area do those things BEFORE using Hibiclens. (Hibiclens bottle and wash cloth): Once you’ve rinsed your body, open the Hibiclens bottle and pour some into your hand or a clean wash cloth. (Showerhead with running water and steam): Move away from the shower stream… (man moves out of shower stream and holds up bottle of Hibiclens)… and rub it gently over the body from your neck to your feet. This was the best, simple, straightforward, steps for washing with Hibiclens. Thanks!
This is the most informational video I seen for Hibiclens. Great!
This was very helpful thank you , wish me luck I have surgery in the morning 😅
This was very helpful. Thanks for sharing. I’m glad I checked the prescription cause CVS didn’t add it, but it was available in the store for $14.
Great explanation, thanks.

@@Naistov 5 days prior does seem a bit extreme. Thanx and good luck to you.
@@cornfusedatbest3980 the 5 days is usually requested for patients that have a positive MRSA nasal swab test result.
Never heard 5 days prior usually 24 hrs before and day of us enough. Maybe depends on procedure
@@kuroe-chan5190 my instructions says 5days also
The second day do I wash my hair too or only the night before
If showering with it, how do you stop it from running down into private areas?
Yeah…I was trying to figure that out but ..I guess king as you can rinse down immediately and not get in openings it’s ok
@@kuroe-chan5190 Update: I worry too much. lol Everything went well.

RUclips would not allow me to add the closed captions to this video as it’s not mine however; I did provide the captions in a separate reply.
Do you wash with your own soap first? None of these videos say and my granddaughter started to itch.
No can’t wash with your soap first I bet it has a drying effect for some. Probably why she became itchy but hopefully she did ok
