Thank you Bill for such a great review. I love Farer watches and have two of them myself. Farer have an excellent eye for detail. eg. All the crowns have a bronze inserts, and the colorways are refreshingly unique. They also have the knack of wearing smaller than they look, so are well suited the medium/smaller wrist size. I understand Farer are primarily a design company with all production coming from Switzerland.
Bill, I’ve been looking at this brand for a few years. Your video made me take a new look and I purchased the Freshwater Aquamatic. Very nice watch, 3 bands, great packaging and deliveries in 2 days. All for under $1,000. These are nice fun watches with a more casual look. Thanks for the video encouragement.
Interestingly, the ability to pick the edition/serial number is what finalized my decision. My son was born on January 10th this year and I was able to grab #110 of the Farer London watch. I love the watch of course but that extra feature they offer sold me.
Thanks Bill. Great watches. Month ago I purchsed the Mansfield cushion tea grean dial ,small seconds(petit seconde like my Tissot 😊 ) ,hand wound Selita elabore sw216. Grean beautifully executed grean leather strap .Beautiful swiss made watch at less than 1000 dollars. Thanks again Bill. With huge appreciation and love NIZAR
Good morning from Spain Bill.I have two of their watches and very pleased with them. The Classic Chronograph was over 2k but has a Dubois Depraz module and the Aquamatic Freshwater a summer favourite. The company has made use of colour a signature and finish top notch.Note the brass insert in the crown that shows thought and effort. For my taste C Ward over egg design but Farer,(pronounced like wayfarer),get it right.Regards
Hi Bill. I have yet to handle a Farer. They are a relatively new brand, but apparently the quality is good, and they seem like something a bit different for reasonable money.
I own the Farer Mansfield with a cushion case and sub seconds. I’m really happy with it. It’s also manual wind and nice finishing too. Thanks for the review Bill!
I ordered an AquaMatic (Biarritz) this past weekend. Should arrive tomorrow. Will let you know how it is. I will say Farer might be my favorite brand currently. Love the styles. Shopping experience was fantastic, and if it shows up tomorrow (a Tuesday), shipping is super fast ( UK to Alabama). Great video!
I was disappointed that you didn't mention the La Joux Perret G101 movement offered in some of their watches. With 4hz and a 68 hour reserve it would seem worthy of consideration.
This should be interesting. I just traded a Farer for an Anonimo Militare Zulu Time GMT 1st generation (with the crown at 6) and a fun little 1970's Seiko 5 for my son.
Great watches, family re-vived English company of some history. The watches are a bit cutesy for me but that Crono is great value considering what Chronos, especially Swiss cost these days.
I have two Farers, and both come with noteworthy movements: 1) Farer Ainsdale II (ETA 251.294 FK PowerDrive Precision) 2) Farer Discovery (La Joux-Perret G101) #1 is a quartz chronograph with flyback, split-seconds rattrapante, and an adjustable hour. It was rumoured that Farer bought up the last of these ebauches. I would also say that it’s above-average in accuracy, though not the highest level. For #2, you probably already know the merits of this one. Why have an ETA 2842 or Sw200 when you can get something virtually the same but with 68 hours reserve? It’s not a powermatic but the Swatch group isn’t sharing those
Around 2k to get a Titanium manual wind Chronograph. Is it me or is this a big contender for anyone looking to get a speedy but 8k is a little too much?
Not to be disagreeable, I just see them as 2 totally different spaces. I, like everyone, love a speedy; but Farer is not a replacement. That’s not a quality or value judgement. I actually prefer Farer to Omega. It’s just that I don’t see them as substitutes for one or the other because they are so different from each other.
youtube.com/@watchartsci - Bill, did you see that Farer has just released something somewhat unusual, the "Cobb III" and "Segrave III" Monopusher GMTs. Whilst i don't generally like chronographs, I'm quite taken by the light blue "Cobb"...

Glad I could help, Paul! It'd be helpful for us all if after a year you could tell us about your experience. Take care, Bill

Wasn’t familiar with Farer myself, thanks for sharing Dr.!
Thanks Bill. Great watches.

Skwerl, what do you think of Farer in general? The Anonimo Militare Zulu Time GMT is definitely unique! Take care, Bill
Hello Bill, do Christopher Ward next, please.

Hey Brain, thanks for the info on the Farers. Take care, Bill

Apparently they were founded in 2015
