I think it may have been an industry secret that the blades could be made to last longer, but many people throw them away after 4 or 5 shaves because they get clogged up too easily. I have been using an earlier BIC razor that clogs up easily, so I started using an old toothbrush to help rinse out the channel. I only shave once or twice a week, so they tend to clog up quickly, so it seems that with use of the toothbrush to clean out the razor I have been able to make the razors last 20-30 shaves. Also, drying out the razor, and keeping razor dry between uses.
Thank you for your videos! I'm 40 and 2 years on testosterone... so don't really have anyone to teach me how to shave at this point in my life. I got a safety razor after watching a couple of your videos and today I did my third head shave and each time I can get a bit of a closer shave. I like how it looks (I have dreadfully thick hair that's impossible to work with) and I'm able to care for the skin on my scalp easier this way as well. I love your nature walks too, i need to get back into doing those.
I have been shaving my head bald for only a few months. Agree shaving head is a learned skill thru experience - as I get to know my head more (which direction roots grow from and towards, getting familiar my head bumps, muscle coordination, technique for getting the back of my head without decapitating myself, etc). I have tried most razors and wasn't happy with any. However, this bic easy rinse is a game changer for sure. Also, bades getting clogged up during a stroke hinders to affect the glide and closeness of shave. Gave away a whole box full of brand new razors and went to walmart to buy as much bic easy rinse as I could. First time that I'm happy and satisfied with a razor for head shaving. Bic finally addressed a very common and critical issue with razors. They knocked it out of the park with this easy rinse razor.
These Bic Easy rinse razors are the absolute best razors you can buy, and not only is the shave unbeatable, but they last a Long time too, provided you rinse and dry them between each use. I’m on 20 shaves and still going with one of these, and after each use I rinse it well, Pat it dry with a piece of TP, then blast it with hot air from a hair dryer for about 20-30 seconds…
@@gamemods855 Maybe it would work, but I prefer getting it completely dry right away. Could be overkill but I’ve heard that this method works to prolong the blade life.
Nice video.i use always Gillette fusion prosheild flexball or Gillette skinguard flexball with cremo original shave cream or bee bald premium shave cream. After I use aftershave balm zingari men unscented with witch hazel. Amazing. Sometimes I use headslick.
118 years ago - when I was 14 - my first razor was a Bic disposable razor. The ones with the white handle and orange blade cover. The aftermath was like a scene from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. However, these look pretty good so if they ever become available in my chosen country of residence (UK), I'll give them a try. I'm more than bored with paying Gillette prices for a half-decent headshave. I've been shaving my head for around 15 years and with the money I've spent on Gillette blades, I could have bought a house in Beverly Hills.
@@GregBoswell428 Don't even talk to me about Schick. They're called Wilkinson Sword here for some reason, and they're instruments of torture, especially the Hydro 5, in my humble opinion.
The blades are pretty dull on the easy rinse. I always cut myself some how with Bic razors, the only Bic ones I like are the Flex 5 and the Bic US/You razors. If I had to pick one razor to shave my head with forever I would go with the Gillette Fusion Pro-shield.
Hi Greg, thank you for posting razor review videos dedicated to head shaving. Would you be interested in testing a product I recently developed that keeps cartridge razors dry, sanitary and longer lasting to help any razor perform better? Razor maintenance is never talked about but it's just as important as the sharpness of a blade. Let me know. I can send you a sample. Thanks, Pat Sassano

Wow, that’s good info to have! Thanks for sharing
Would just rinsing it and leaving it out to dry work as well?

@@billjohnsonseattle As you said, it helps very much. My method for the use of disposable razors.
Thank you for answering my question regarding conditioner vs shaving cream! Great video!
Thank you
Big EasyRinse is the very best razor shaving your head. 💯✨
I used to shave with bic razors but I always get bumps and irritation so I switched to double edge safety razor
How many uses per razor would you reckon Greg?
For me, I think at least six. That’s shaving twice a week. It might be a few more though. Not sure.

I always hated BIC and Shick for the same reasons. This one finally changed my mind.

Do you prefer cartridge razor or de razor for head shaving
Cartridge
i came here looking for how to change blades after i dumped the old one with button - and here yours is already bladed... 🙄
Do you still use the Head blade to shave your head
Yes
Great video great view. Nice 👍 razor 🪒. Great music 👍
I appreciate that!

Typically, I feel that way about BIC products myself, but I don’t think these blades are dull at all. They gave me a really good shave.
@@GregBoswell428 maybe I got a bad batch 🤨
Hi Stanley
I can’t have him stealing my thunder 🤣
Cool, music Rocks!
I’m glad you like it. It was a strange choice for me and it took me forever to settle on something for this video.

Why go against the grain first
A less abrasive shave
