- Who’s the Strongest Powerpuff Girl? Today, we’re going to find out. I sat down to watch all 79 episodes of the original show to get to the bottom of it. Well, I was watching I racked their most used powers and racked one to ten. Then I noted the number of final knockouts and amount of defeats that each Powerpuff Girl got. With all of this research and added it all up to find the winner. Who will it be Blossom, Buddles, or Buttercup? You’ll have to watch to find out.
This is just my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so if I got something wrong, or you have something to point out please do so in a constructive way. We’re here because we’re all passionate about this show. Be kind and willing to listen. You never know what you might learn!

as far as I know the dea is to have each one of the girls be better at one thing than the others so Blossom will be the smartest, Bubbles would be the most friendly and charismatic, leaving Buttercup to be the physically strongest best fighter.
although each one of these are strengths there have been many times where they have caused problems, like bubbles being so concerned with making friends that it won't occur to her, how bad the person is, Blossom overthinking a situation when a simple solution would do and Buttercup becoming so caught up in the fight that she can go too far or Bing overly aggressive.
That's what makes them a great team! Just like you said each has strengths and flaws in their personality. If any one of these girls were to adventure out into crime-fighting alone, I don't think they would be that successful. Each girl gives us a new perspective on how to solve a problem. Blossom teaches us to think logically. Buttercup teaches us how to stand up for what we think is right. Bubbles teach us to be creative. As much as I would like to say that one is stronger than the others. I was completely wrong for comparing them because they are in fact better together!
@@CinemaOverAnalyzed yep if only 2016 ppg could of recognise that perfect team dynamic and remembered that they were in fact superheroes, not just regular kids with powers.
But then if that and others had not failed so badly, Craig wouldn't of come back two once again saved the day, bringing back what I am very hopeful to be a return, of my favourite kid show.
I never watched the 2016 reboot, so I don't really know what it was all about. I don't really have any plans to watch it either. I'm pretty excited that Craig is coming back! It will be nice to see the Powerpuff Girl, once again, poke fun at superhero tropes in a light-hearted way! Out of the original episodes, which one is your favorite?
@@CinemaOverAnalyzed I do like a good rowdyruff boy episode though it's been so long I've forgotten many of the titles, probably the boys are back or boy toys is that's correct.
having Princess failing to play both sides is fun, although it did end in a curious decision in which they just left the boys to eventually recover, instead of even implying the girls dealt with them.
The Rowdyruff Boy episodes were really fun! I don't remember the titles either...haha! But I think I know which one you're talking about! I really love how they're always a looming threat, you never know when they're going to turn up and fight the girls. It was a nice change of pace.
Why do people forget that when Bubbles defeated her sisters it was because they weren't even defending themselves? Even Buttercup stops Blossom from fighting her (even the narrator said that Bubbles had made a big mistake in provoking her meaning that at the very least it would have been an even fight)
In general Blossom wins, Angry, maybe Bubbles is a little wilder, and Buttercup, well, she's always the one who doesn't let nonsense the least, which has been very useful on several occasions.
The way blossom mopped the floor with Princess is unrivaled, it was practically a DBZ battle.

For sure, she straight-up beat up five monsters all by herself.
There's a difference between strongest and powerful. Bubbles in my opinion is the most POWERFUL of the 3 girls as her potential is the highest, especially given her various range of emotions. Of the girls Bubbles is the most tender of the girls always wanting everyone to get along and hating to see beloved ones fighting amongst one another. But we've also seen a hidden anger and ruthlessness upon seeing her loved ones hurt or when pushed to the edge. Granted her sister's didn't want to harm her but she was the only one who actually managed to defeat both Blossom and Buttercup when she thought she was Mojo Jojo. Bubbles has the highest ceiling in regards to the girls and that's because she's the one who has the greatest amount of love and kindness.
That is an interesting point! Strength and power are two different things. I would agree that Bubbles has the highest potential due to her range of emotions. She kind of a wild card because you never know what she's going to do. Buttercup may use her anger when she fights, but it's not on the same level as Bubbles.
I like this comment because growing up I identified as Buttecup because I was an angry child and I thought that was me but now that I'm older I'm Bubbles all the way!
The way I see it is, Bubbles is similar to Gohan from DBZ. Has the highest potential of the bunch. Uses emotions and anger as their weapon when pushed to far. And Once you make them snap.. wellll good-luck LMAO

Frankly none of the times they fought her have they actually fought back that hard.
It should also be mentioned that Bubbles figures out how to bring color back to Townsville through music when the mime took over. So she sometimes has Blossom's brains and Buttercup's brawn. Even if Bubbles isn't my fave of the bunch, I agree with your assessment here. She's the humble prodigy of the group.
And that's part of what makes PPG special, each girl has their strengths and struggles which set them apart.
I think that's what makes them such a good team! They balance one another out in a way that helps each of them grow to be a better version of themselves.

“who is the strongest powerpuff girl?” is honestly a really tough question to answer. each of the girls all show strength in their own ways. blossom being the strategist, bubbles being emotionally driven, and buttercup’s ambition to fight hard all the time (or something lol). but honestly, every time i ask myself this question, i usually come to the conclusion that buttercup is the strongest because she has great physical strength (like her sisters do too) and she uses her body strength, fists, and her beating up skills more often than she uses her superpowers. even though bubbles took down 5 monsters all by herself while in 2 danger levels above her sisters in the simulator, i think bubbles throughout that episode was just very motivated to prove to everyone that she is also tough like blossom and buttercup and that she’s not a baby. like, she probably couldn’t do that on a normal day, yknow? if you also remember though, bubbles did struggle a little bit to defeat those monsters in the simulation. it was difficult for her, i’m sure. she probably wouldn’t be able to do that all the time though. i think when bubbles gets very angry, that’s when the claws come out lol. but yeah it’s still a difficult question to think about lol, but i always go back to buttercup being the strongest/toughest for some reason lol. but each powerpuff girl have their own strengths and weaknesses that the others may not have, so they’re all equally strong in their own ways, i think

Buttercup is like Vegita. She's all about her ego.
Bubbles is like the Hulk. The angrier she gests, the stronger she becomes.

I just wish they gave Buttercup a special power. Blossom was my fave growing up but I always felt bad for Buttercup not having a special power.

Even though Bubbles is my favorite I think in general Blossom would be the strongest. Even though in Bubblevicious, Bubbles is able to take a higher level on that simulator than her sisters, in terms of quick thinking and smooth fighting Blossom takes the cake, especially in the episode "Stuck Up Up and Away" where she's the last one standing against Princess' mech suit.
I would have to agree that she's the most well-rounded out of all of them. When it comes to Blossom vs Princess, that is probably one of my favorite moments in the whole show!
well but bubbles actually did beat up both buttercup and blossom when she thought that she was mojo jojo. Think of bubble basically like goku/gohan, when she got so emotional she basically did not hold back at all and just went brutal super saiyan something level. While blossom was the last one standing against princess, she displayed more intellect rather than strenght, thus only proving that she's smarter rather than stronger.

@@jackslife19 that's also debatable considering bubbles did beat 2 levels higher in the simulation compared to the other two. She's stronger than them.
@@lolcall5295 we didn’t see Blossom in the simulation room at all and when we did see Buttercup she won her simulation. They didn’t have the chance. They could’ve done the same thing but they didn’t have anything to prove, Bubbles was trying to prove herself.
Buttercup is my favorite because of her headstrong attitude I'm excited and nervous about the new Powerpuff girls series that Craig will be doing
She has some of the best one-liners in the show! I just found out about the reboot yesterday! That's awesome that Craig's coming back! Hope EG Daily comes back to voice Buttercup again as well!

I think they all have hypersonic screams. When they're trying to find out what Buttercup's special power is all three use it. Yes, Bubbles can speak both Spanish and Japanese.
They can all use it but Bubbles uses it the most.
Buttercup is the fastest hands down a 10. She flew so fast she went back in time...or into an alternative future.

For people asking about the reboot
The reboot rarely has any fighting and completely changed the point of the show
I agree with you bubbles is most definitely the strongest, not only has she outright defeated her sisters when she thought she was mojo, but she also has some feats over her sisters as well, like when the villainess “mask skerra” was accidentally defeated by bubbles throwing the antidote at her despite mask skerra being capable of reacting to blossom, or the fact that bubbles can quite literally negate blossoms ice breath (something that’s blossoms ace in the whole) with her fire breath. You also have the fact bubbles accidentally knocked buttercup out of commission for a moment with just 1 shot from her lazers in the Christmas special when she was aiming at princess, yet bubbles can shrugg off blossoms lazer eyes in “a very special blossom”. Not to mention in “power puff girls rule” you have bubbles 1 shotting the baloon monster to the point where she knocked it’s eye out , the very same baloon monster the girls could not damage in the season 1 finale and had to use dynamo. Bubbles just blatantly has better feats than her sisters.
Oh and you know what else is interesting. In the famous fight between the power puff girls and princess morbucks, people mostly point out that blossom whooped princess while princess was able to beat buttercup and bubbles. what’s funny is that bubbles is quite literally the only one in that encounter to not have engaged princess in fist to fists, bubbles relied on her ranged attacks. So it could be argued that if bubbles decided to exchange fists with princess she would have whooped princess just like blossom did.

@@CinemaOverAnalyzed Your welcome mate. After watching surfbone I just gained a love for power scaling. Plus another issue I have with princess fight is that using it to assume blossom is the strongest kinda indirectly assumes that buttercup and bubbles remained stagnant for the rest of the series. Which is wrong because they both displayed better feats later on like when buttercup is able to tag him in “power noia” despite the fact that him is able to catch blossom right before that (which means buttercup is at least relative to blossom) or the fact bubbles lazer vision grew stronger as obviously it 1 shot buttercup in the Christmas special despite the fact buttercup is able to survive being frozen from blossoms ice breath in “a made up story” (although she still got damaged), the same ice breath that decimated princesses armor.
This isn’t to say blossom wouldn’t beat buttercup cause she would, it’s just there’s better arguments for blossom than the princess fight.
I think part of the reason Bubbles has so many knock out is just that PPG is a comedy show. Show beating the shit out of things is funny than Buttercup or Blossom doing the same.

You are correct that Buttercup did win the race. However, I don't really count it because she kind of gets a head start from the other too. I still feel all three are insanely fast, but in a proper race, I think that Bubbles would win by a hair. That's just me! Who do you think is the fastest?
heres a wild idea: what if Buttercup is actually the weakest of the powerpuff girls and only seems stronger because she doesn't hold herself back in battle with kindness or strategy.

I strongly disagree with you but I respect your perspective. Blossom is the strongest PPG because she is intelligent and uses her critical thinking skills against her enemies. When it comes to fight using your thinking skills can make you easily defeat your opponents and in this scenario Blossom will easily beat both buttercup and bubbles.
I respect your thoughts, and I would agree that Blossom uses her abilities the best out of all of them. I still think that "rage" Bubbles would beat Blossom. However, if Bubbles wasn't enraged Blossom would easily beat them. What's your favorite Blossom episode?

great video well made it really did well in showing each individual powerpuff girl strength and weakness and overall who is stronger. as well as their strength in general. bubbles make sense as the strongest from the feats shown but i think blossom is more well rounded, smarter with speeds better or equal to bubbles

Such a fun show! What's your favorite episode?
Buttercup. Let me break it down: the three girls are pretty even all things considered. They all have strengths and weaknesses that pretty much ensures no one of them is the master of everything, at least not any more so than the other two. However, when Blossom has the unique ability to freeze things with her ice breath, and Bubbles has the unique ability to communicate with animals and speak other languages, what is Buttercup left with? Sure, there’s the curling tongue, but I think there’s more to it. Buttercup is the fighter, so really, not giving her a special power doesn’t make any sense, unless that “power” is her raw potential. I think instead of having a unique ability, she keeps the same power puff powers, but hers is a bit stronger.
Of course, the show never indicates any of this, and it wouldn’t be enough to guarantee a win for her against her sisters if she was going all out, but I still think she’s the strongest.
Edit: I also don’t think their fight with Bubbles at all counts, because there’s no way they were going all out on her.
I had to pause the list of powers so many times that I'm starting to believe that Utonium didn't want to make the perfect little girls, he wanted to make the pefect little GODS.

I think its buttercup. It's true that im biased because she's my favorite but i also think im objectively correct.
Of all the powerpuff girls she relies on pure strength more than the other two.
Blossom occasionally uses intelligence and diplomacy, bubbles uses kindness and buttercup just punches things. Plus during her rageful moments she's particularly strong.

Not to mention in the movie, Buttercup was the one who gave Blossom the idea to fight villains to defeat them since Buttercup was the first one to attack one of the evil monkeys that was holding onto the dog. :)

i think Buttercup is the strongest she is fiesty/serious(you kinda need that attitude for battles and fights) and has the raw power and brute strength to beat up the all bad guys like the gangreen gang by herself,and in the movie she hit one of the monkeys(rocko socko i think it was)so hard that she almost killed him,blossom is the leader and comes up with the plans,and bubbles can talk to animals(which i think is kinda useless in a battle or fight)

watch the episode where they were racing and they accidentally flew into the future,she washed all of them easily, afterwards she explained that she is more aero dynamic than all of them due to her hair .So with the speed you have it all wrong..
In the first episode that Princess is featured, it's made pretty clear. Bubbles and Buttercup get their @rses thoroughly whooped, while Blossom just analyzes the situation calmly, silently and motionless, let's her make the first move and then proceeds to defeat her, basically single-handedly, hardly breaking a sweat. Clase closed, it's Blossom. She might not enjoy fighting as much as Buttercup does and isn't as brutal, but at the end of the day, it's strategy that matters most in a fight.
That is a very awesome moment in the series for sure! If there ever was a battle between the three of them I still feel like it would be a toss-up through. Buttercup loves fights, Bubbles has rage and Blossom is a master strategist. It would be fun to see who would come up on top!
I think I'm understanding why they would say "Work smarter,not harder."
You know what’s interesting about that battle with princess? Bubbles is the only power puff girl who did not clash with princess fist to fist, bubbles is the only one who only used ranged attacked. Bubbles quite literally defeated both blossom and buttercup when she thought she was mojo, not to mention the ice breath that was able to destroy princesses armor quite literally got canceled out by bubbles flame breath in “simian says”. Blossom defeating princess doesn’t really prove she’s over bubbles combat wise, as bubbles did not get to physically combat princess. If anything the fact bubbles has feats over blossom in combat, just means that blossom defeating princess in hand to hand combat, means bubbles would have also defeated princess had she decided to exchange fists with her rather than trying to rely on ranged attacks.
@@princelamar1735 Slow down there buddy. Bubbles only defeated both Blossom and Buttercup because they refused to fight back because its their sister. After watching her fights she doesn't really have much going for her fighting wise while Blossom on the other hand fights smarter not harder
@@nekaicoderx Sure they didn’t want to fight back against her, but there’s a difference between not being willing to punch someone and not being able to defend yourself. Even if they didn’t want to harm her that doesn’t mean they couldn’t have at least tried to block her strikes (like blossom did to princess) or try and fly out of the way of her onslaughts. They could have done both these things without harming her. Yet despite this they both literally just stood there as bubbles beat the heck out of them, and it’s not like bubbles sneaked up on them she literally attacked them 1 by 1 in the beginning of her attack, yet neither reacted to her despite having time to do so. Buttercup and blossom have no excuse.
Blossom is smart yes, but there are times when blossoms smarts didn’t do anything for her due to the gap in power between her and her opponent. Like when blossom fought mojo when he was amped with the power puff girls abilitys, her first encounter with the rowdy ruff boys, or heck when they meet with the “Godzilla” monster in “three girls and a monster” that bubbles had to politely ask to leave them and the town alone. Blossoms intelligence only got her so far.
Bubbles has feats over blossom, like when she had to save blossom from hims dream dolls in “power noia”. Or when bubbles defeated those level 11 monsters in “bubblevicous”. Or the fact that in “a made up story” mask scerra the villainous is able to react to blossoms punches, yet she couldn’t react to bubbles accidentally throwing the antidote at her from a farther distance (which means bubbles combat speed > blossoms). Heck in the series finale “power puff girls rule” bubbles 1 shots the big balloon monster near the end of the episode, the very same balloon monster that the girls could not damage in the season 1 finale and needed dynamo to take down after this same monster 1 shot all three of them. Even blossoms ace in the whole the ice breath got matched by bubbles flame breath in “simian says”, and bubbles laser vision outscales the ice breath as buttercup (who was able to somewhat withstand the ice breath in “a made up story”) got temporarily taken out by bubbles laser vision by accident in the Christmas special when she was aiming at princess. Even Blossoms own laser vision hardly effected bubbles in “a very special blossom” when blossom got outed for thievery.
I’m sorry but bubbles is just way beyond blossom whether she’s intelligent or not.
I do love your take on the girls and their abilities, and it while i stand by Blossom as the strongest for her battle tactics and intellect, I do agree that Bubbles is the best. She is sweet as ever until you piss her off. Let this be a lesson for everyone: never piss off the nice people, they are scary when they are mad.

The strongest is buttercup she is the one who always wins a fight while her sisters are hurt
To me it's Blossom because she's an all rounder, she's a good fighter but also intelligent. In a straight up fight Buttercup is toughest though.

Blossom seems to use her emotions to guide her. Which can be advantageous but v dangerous if not careful.

I can see your point, Bubbles is a very strong, however, I still believe that Buttercup is the strongest. Bubbles is the kindest and playful one, but can get very intense when she is angry. If you look at it from a different angle for the Bubblevisious episode, she was strong enough to get Mojo Jojo and she was 2 levels above here sister on the simulation, however Buttercup won her on her level and if she gets as angers as Bubbles she could probably beat 1 or 2 levers harder than her, so can Blossom, as she was the most calm so she could be really aggressive when she is angry. Bubbles probably has the least amount of defeats because her sisters went out before she did leaving them without assistance or help. And in the episode where Bubbles thinks she is Mojo, her sisters didn’t fight her. I feeling like if they did, then she would have definitely lose. Buttercup has lots of defeats and lots of wins. If you are ever the best at something, you must have lots of fails, understanding that failure is the key to success. Some of Bubbles’s victories were mostly luck. Buttercup wasn’t given very many chances like Bubbles and Blossom has been given the least amount of chances. The episodes mostly shown the full capacity of Bubbles, some of Buttercup’s true strength despite her not having a special power (I wish she did have a special power though 😢) and showing very few of Blossom’s full capacity. I would say it’s either between Blossom and Buttercup for who is the strongest, not Bubbles. I am sorry that this is long, I am just trying to say my honest opinion.
I apologize that I didn't respond to you sooner. Took a little holiday break. What I find interesting about this show is that it makes you think about true strength. Does it come from how smarter you are? How physical you are? Or does it come from your emotional state? Each girl shows a different type of strength that makes them powerful. It's up to the viewer to decide what is best! I apparent you taking the time to state your thoughts =)

They can easily take down monster after monster on a daily basis. Without breaking a sweat. Each girl balances out the other really well, they may argue sometimes. However, if they're all on the same they can cause a lot of damage. Also, they don't really have any weaknesses in their power set. The Powerpuff Girls are a very stacked team that could go toe to toe with Superman. But that's just what I think! How strong do you think they are together?

The fact that people don't put Blossom or Buttercup in Bubbles' place in their "feats" is a bit of an overestimation of Bubbles, certainly if I were to choose the stronger one, Blossom would certainly win, as she has already shown herself to be better in combat than both of them, In addition to being undoubtedly more intelligent and rational

That's a good question! Let me think about this...when she is in rage mode her stamina, speed and durability seem to be at an insane level. When Mojo Jojo hits her with a laser she does not seem fazed by it at all. In fact, the laser just enraged her even more. So if the monster were to hit her over and over again, as we see in that episode. I think...yeah, she could probably take him down. She may destroy all of Townsville in the process, but she could take him down. However, I do like how "normal" Bubbles is able to go talk to it and he just leaves...haha! That's such a great episode! Thanks again for this awesome question! I'm curious to know what your thoughts are!

I'm surprised buttercup scored so low on speed after she won the race they had in speed demon, that is probably the fastest the girls have ever went. Was she really that much slower in the other episodes? Not gonna complain because bubbles is my favourite :')
She did win the race. However, it wasn't a fair race. Buttercup had a false start. If they had a fair race between the three of them. I still feel like Bubbles would finish a hair before Buttercup. Also, Buttercup normally goes with the head-on approach causing her to rely more heavily on her strength than her speed.

For quite some time I felt that Bubbles was the strongest. When you see her bad side, she IS actually terrifying. Her sisters don't want to get near her, especially when she became hardcore. Once Bubbles gets really heated, there is no stopping her.
When she thought she was Mojo Jojo she straight up clobbered them. Don't mess with Bubbles...haha!
