Wim Hof Method for 60 Days | My Benefits and the Science

  • I practiced the wim hof breathing technique for the last 60 days consecutively and noticed a major improvement in my endurance, focus, and mood. I had already been a believer in the power of deep breathing, having come from a tradition of practicing pranayama. However, the Wim Hof Method is a unique combination of breathing exercises, mindset training, cold exposure that I feel could be especially beneficial to anyone looking to enhance their perception.

I love the Wim Hof Method. Started to do it once daily since last week and it's changing my life. My energy has increased and I've been able to process a lot of emotions. It's very healing. Everytime I do it, I get emotional but then I feel calm and like something was released. I also feel slightly stronger without much training and most importantly, I sleep much better. Since I started, I feel my sleep is much deeper and restorative.
It's only been a week, so I just can't imagine the effects after 6 months or a year.

It is because during the old times people were not literate and educated. So instead of giving actual complex reason they put forward some other simple reason like fear of god, sin etc. As the people became more educated and literate these simple reasons were found totally as a blunder and they label the belief somewhat superstition, without knowing the actual complex reson lying behind. Anti Hindu forces make the opportunity and use the word superstition vigorously against Hindu culture or beliefs and many people believe it so

Things i have learnt from my experience of wim hof:
    1. Helps me focus on assignments/get motivated to do assignments
    2. It calms my stress levels and allows the tension in my chest to dissolve
    3. It regulates my body temperature. So before wim hof i may feel a bit sluggish or demotivated because of the cold and i would rather wrap myself in a blanket and watch netflix. After wimhof, i feel more motivated to carry on my day even if i feel cold.
    4. Lifts my mood and resets my concentration.
    5. Allows me to sleep better at night.

I’m grateful to have found your channel! I’m in the thick of some very intense life trials following a severe TBI and I truly wouldn’t be able to get through this time in my life if it weren’t for my daily meditations. I meditate about an hour each day and have taught my kids to meditate for sleep mostly. I own and operate 3 separate and busy companies and have 6 kids!
Rather than medicate me my holistic mother taught me to meditate 34 years ago at age 6 when I was diagnosed with ADHD, but I’ve never learned the deeper connective parts of the practice that you speak of....would they be parts of Hinduism? As a lifelong Christian I also value Eastern spirituality and I’d like to learn more about the aspects and terms you mention.
Do you have a video to serve as an introduction to Hinduism (is that where these terms you’re using and practices are found?)
    Thanks,
    Adam

hey Sinbad - great video as always. Here's a magic pranayama tip I learned - if one nostril is ever plugged when you want to do pranayama or other breathwork, take a rolled up towel and wedge it under the armpit and queeze down with your bicep to hold hit, on the armpit on the opposite site of the plugged nostril. Like magic, air will flow freely through your nostril. This is great for anuloma viloma.

Everything else is the same. But I just add portions where I hold during my deep breathing portion of the pranayama routine.
