I may be too old for a productive society but let me tell you and I am not kidding, I was there with the BPO and Slava ( that's the way he called himself ) recording these pieces and the only other person at Berlin Phil Hall was Seiji Ozawa. Well, what memories.
00:00 1. Miniature Overture 03:05 2a. March 05:31 2b. Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy 07:37 2c. Russian Dance 08:48 2d. Arabian Dance 12:33 2e. Chinese Dance 13:47 2f. Dance of the Reed Flutes 16:22 3. Waltz of the Flowers
Thank you so much for giving this brilliance the REAL hifi treatment that it clearly requires. Wouldn't it be great if every uploader had the same respect? Cheers
The Waltz of the Flowers has never been played better than or even as well as on this recording - the way Slava makes the strings swoop and swoon in the main theme is to die for
This recording is so crisp, so clean, no background noises. I highly appreciate the quality.
