I finished the A2 level on Duolingo about a month ago and it’s amazing how much of these stories I understand. At least 90%. You don’t realize how much Spanish you are learning until you have moments like these. This really motivates me to keep on going and to complete B1 next. Keep it going everyone!

So true. Going through Duolingo, it can be discouraging when the lessons are hard and you feel like you're not remembering, but if you were to go back to earlier lessons you would see how easy those are.

@@manjirit The Duolingo levels are not obvious, but I learned recently that sections 1 through 3, are all considered A1. Section 4 is the start of A2. I can't remember where I saw that though. I do wish they would add more information like this, as well as statistics to Duolingo

I like the stories but not the voice reading the English text. Since it's not about learning English, you can simply leave the English text without speech. The voice is disruptive and takes too long.

@@Reiiiii4 Ya, if you're listening without watching the voice is useful, though I suppose it doesn't have to be as slow as the Spanish.

I disagree. I think this way works better, because you can get a sense of the story and learn some new words to start. Then when you hear it again without the English, you'll understand it better, and therefore retain it better.
