Same here but with English. I learnt by listening so I just know a phrase sounds good or weird, don't ask me why it's ok or wrong.
@@pirouettee That's why learning a 2nd language non-native makes you better at learning others; you study the way the language works. In our natives we don't know all the rules, we just know what's right and what isn't because we hear it used.

¿Cada país? Incluso dentro de España el idioma cambia mucho según la zona geográfica o el tipo de población.
El español es muy difícil entre muchas otras cosas, porque nuestro vocabulario es considerablemente más amplio (usamos menos palabras con varias connotaciones).
Tambien resulta muy complejo que podamos construir oraciones utilizando 3 o 4 formas diferentes de ordenar las palabras.

These are fun because I always end up getting questions wrong at the most basic level and question right at the most advanced level, haha. I guess it depends if you've encountered the specific language before or not. Obviously the more advanced you are the more you'll get right, at any level.

Supongo que se aprende castellano de España, ya que es donde el uso es más correcto en cuanto a gramática. En América hay muchas variaciones de la gramática original y muchas son vulgares o incorrectas.

@@miguelsanchez3346 Eso no es del todo correcto. Las variaciones gramaticales no se consideran incorrectas, solo variaciones. Las lenguas no son un "ente" estático. De la misma forma la pronunciación de los diferentes países tampoco son correctas o incorrectas.
Respecto al "de" de la pregunta, yo entiendo que es porque se refieren a diferentes cosas:
En Latinoamérica están haciendo énfasis en el orden: Primero esto , luego aquello.
En España parece que el énfasis está en el tipo de plato: Primer plato, segundo plato, postre, aperitivo, entrante , etc...

Yo también, de hecho elegí la B, que también está mal jajajaj, es verdad, diríamos: "no, no ES (agenda) de ELLOS (dos personas)"... porque la B en realidad también está mal, porque "son" serían dos o más agendas, mientras que en la respuesta A también está mal porque dice "Suya" y eso es singular y suena mal... Creo que todas están mal ahí xD, no hay otra manera de decir eso más que "No, no es de ellos"...
Claro, pero el pronombre sería suyo, suya, suyos o suyas :)

Yo tambien, esto es muy dificil.
Claro que hay cosas que aprender. Para empezar, no se dice "ya lo sabía mucho" sería más bien "ya lo sabía todo". Y es más correcto decir al final "hay tanto por aprender" o "hay muchas cosas que aprender". Así suena mejor, pero igualmente has utilizado bien todas las tildes y se te entiende perfectamente 😉
Animo. En una conversación, si hubieras utilizado las respuestas incorrectas, igual te hubieramos entendido a la perfección. Eso es lo bueno que tiene nuestro idioma.

This was a fun video to test my knowledge, but it's more about grammar than determining A1, A2 level. From what I understand, the CEFR levels aren't so much about grammar as your ability to use and understand a language in certain situations or to perform certain functions (like able to understand words and phrases concerning yourself and family). I only got 3 questions wrong but if someone spoke these sentences to me I would have a lot of trouble understanding, due to forgotten vocab, trouble with listening comprehension, etc. Many grammar questions can be figured out by looking at the sentence structure without a need to know what every word means.

I found question 6 a little tricky, because in English, if someone says they don't like something, we can agree with their statement if we feel the same, as in: Me too! (Me also) or we can agree with them by using the negative, as in: Me neither. So I was wrong when I went with: A mí, también. So, my question to you is whether the two responses work the same in Spanish as well. Gracias!!

I think my English is just getting away from how I was taught in school (1960s; Canada), which was very strict and was my best subject (at the time!). I have been aware of some laziness in my word choices and grammar lately. It's an eye-opener to learn a second language, because it causes a person to see the mistakes they make in their own language. A veces puedo estar cansada y perezosa!

Im a native spanish speaker and I swear I had to think some of them, of course for just a moment, but I had to. So don´t feel insecure, spanish is so hard you can be really advanced and still mess up some details, there are so many things to take into account to get a 100% perfect sentence! The good thing is, with almost all these questions, even if you said the wrong answers, you would have been understood perfectly

I had studied Spanish for about 7 years (in high school and college, along with all my other subjects, lol), but I hit a "wall" and stopped completely while still in college. I haven't thought about trying to learn it anymore until now (I graduated about 11 yrs or so ago). Recently, I decided to try to at least develop my listening/comprehension skills again. I never could have conversations in Spanish. I never knew which words to use and how to properly say everything (grammar rules, etc.). Everything would get jumbled in my head, and I just couldn't say what I was trying to say. But, at one point I could at least understand Spanish-language media and read college-level materials in Spanish.
I never knew, for example, why it's "son las" for the hour response instead of "es las." I never understood that for "le gustan" the "le" was referring to the person or that "le" could be 'dressing up' as "se." Also, a negative command in the tú form is the same structure as the subjunctive??!!🤯I was always told "that's just the way commands work."
Simple stuff, I know, but because I never had a handle on those things, I never really "succeeded" in my studies (I feel).
Seriously, thank you again for breaking these things down. I've subscribed to your channel and will be checking out your other videos!

My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Estos vídeos son la ostia, porque uno al ser nativo no es capaz de ver lo realmente complicado que es el idioma y sus entresijos y los razonamientos que hay que hacer cuando intentas aprenderlo para saber usar correctamente el idioma y todas sus excepciones, y lo necesaria que es la gramática para poder estructurar el conocimiento y no cometer errores, cosa que uno al ser nativo y saber hablar ya el idioma no percibimos en el instituto que sea necesaria y se nos hace muy aburrida. Además es increíble ver a tanta gente interesada en aprender tu idioma!
