We need a bigger airport with direct flights to cities (domestic & international). I think this is really holding this city back. It's a huge bummer. You can't fly anywhere without connecting in Atlanta, Charlotte, ect. The richmond airport used to be an international airport but after 9/11 it wasn't big enough to implement all the new TSA regulations/infrastructure. It's still called an international airport but it most certainly isn't one.
Agreed! I am very curious how we could go about getting more direct flights. I think you really have to bring jobs and population here first if I had to guess what would need to happen.
My daughter lives there. It’s a cool area. Not a tired old city that I thought. Very vibrant.
