Totally agree. Its so much easier to connect and track with the characters when you see what they are doing. I understand the extra work involved in doing it this way, but it is very much appreciated. Another YTber I watch started adding just the small thing of his characters remaining wounds for his Warhammer Quest characters on each image and it made following the action so much better and easier. So Im definitely a big fan of posting visual info.
A great fight, if a bit one sided. Your crew has passed the street ganger level and it definitely shows. I know you like machine pistols, but you seriously need to look at upgrading your ranges. Briya was pretty much wasted this game since she was outside 12" the whole time. If she is going to team up with the longer range half of the crew, she might need to be packing some longer ranged firepower. An SMG, or Lt Rifle might be what she needs to look for. Lin might be getting a little clunky having all the ranged firepower she is carrying. If she goes down, that limits your ability to affect the fight from distance. Your CQC side though is getting to be tough as nails. Hopefully repairing the Shatteraxe will beef up that team up more. Damaged Frakk grenades, they may have been older, rusted versions that the Bulls team leader was carrying around after looting them in an old weapons stash. (Sort of like our guys running across a Taliban in A-Stan carrying WW2 Mk.1 pineapple grenades in really crappy shape.) The repair might be having to make sure they still will function correctly and actually might mean a failure hurts the person trying to repair them. 1 turn in the medbay at least. I remember a box of condemned hand grenades in Germany 30 years ago in an ammo dump we gave a lot of respect towards hoping🤞 we would allowed to use explosives and just destroy them on a range. Might be better to just pawn them off on an unsuspecting buyer.....uh, just before you leave town for good of course.😉 Im sad you will be taking a break from 5 Parsecs, Im really loving the series and hoping to get my son involved in playing in the future. Im SO sick of 40k and its billions of editions that totally are geared for the army of the month club. I will be looking for your next crew adventure.
All good insights. I think someone should hand Lin a pistol and maybe Briya get her hotshot rifle. I may do the grenade damage thing! Gonna have Briya with her savvy 3 try it again... 3rd times a charm since she broke the last two items. I won’t be gone from this game long. (Maybe 1 or 2 episodes of something else) The comments and support for the channel keep me invigorated. And also I’m getting some new stuff in and I have to share it. Think of it as leg 2.
I look forward to your red zone games, I still haven't started my campaign yet, I did roll my crew, got a lot of wealth roles, but picked up 2 rivals. life getting in the way and a trip out of town soon, so it looks like the second weekend in June I should be able to get started
Wow, talk about the "gang that couldn't shoot straight." I think those Iron Skulls need to go back to their hideout and do a little gunnery practice before they return to their life of crime...
Well....they were "scrap guns." Remember the pipe guns in Fallout 4. I seriously wouldnt expect to hit anything better than if I had just thrown it. I was issued a .45 in Germany like that. I swear my grandad Roberts initials were on it from WW1 along with my other grandad J.C.s initials from WW2.
Well, the game doesn't really differentiate between a "good" and "bad" handgun except for range (9" for scrap and 12" for regular), and in this particular engagement everyone was firing at 8" range due to the Gloom conditions. I think the key is that the crew were much better armed and had higher combat/toughness ratings than the completely outclassed gangers - this was less a battle between near equals than a simple case of an irritated parent spanking a recalcitrant child.
@@MisterMac4321 I was joking, but you know in reality it would be true. A weapon made by a guy in a garage with a hacksaw and drill vs. a precision instrument made in a factory, to tolerance and specs....well unless youre talking about old High Point Firearms, then its a tossup.
@@MisterMac4321 But I do agree. A trained, developed crew vs. a bunch of street thugs...it reminded me of a scene in a book by the late Joel Rosenberg (He was very good by the way) named Not For Glory. A street gang confronted in a scene by professionals (albeit elderly ones). The street gan gets butchered. The setting of that particular story in the book, Thellonee, reminds me of JaguarsDens layout for most of his battles.
@@jaguarsdengames8877 i really did! And your terrain/urban set up looked so wonderful. I like the lights& dimmer the way you had it. Thanks so much for doing these. I haven't played ANY games in quite some time, but i was generally historical and Horus heresy. This system seems very organized, original & well designed. Your explanation and game play is a big help too. Best!
I like the change to the pregame narrative display. The visuals and the story really go well together.

Yes that was a little embarrassing for them. It could have went the other way completely however! So that easy win could have looked very different
