PC is a mighty fine politician, technocrat & intellectual, both when in govt & in opposition. He is miles ahead of his times, a bold reformer, hence not a mass leader. Every bit as qualified as anybody else to be PM. Will go down in history as one of the principal architects of modern Indian economy. Fools hate him, but they are called fools for a reason :)
Chimdambaram sir speech is good but for a country like India there is not even single economist for finance ministry only advocates r doing good make up in the country development they r the one who know the holes in laws by which they come out easily corruption starts there

1.Chidhambaram told INDIA is not growing since GDP has fallen to 6.5 %.
You could have raised the question that Ease of doing Business ranking came favour to India that India's place has reduced to 100 from 130 as world Bank report.
2.You could have raised the question about fiscal deficit has reduced by 3.5 % from 4 % which good sign of growth.
3.The discussion is about budget but you have changed the topic to election winning in different states it should be avoided.
4.The pros and cons of the budget has not discussed.
5.You should have got the clarity of what are the areas to be improved in budget from him.

the rise in life expectancy at birth to 68.34 years;
the rise of per capita income (at current prices) to Rs 1,03,219 per year;
the rise in literacy to 73%;
the reduction in the proportion of people living in poverty to less than 22%;
the self-sufficiency in food grains and the avoidance of famine;
the conquest of plague, kala azar, small pox and polio;
the advances in science and technology, especially space and atomic energy, with limited resources.
Anyone who is comparing service sector growth with GDP, here's a small fact, sector growth can and is often twice or thrice as much as GDP, the entire sector may only be 10 to 15% of the entire country's economy, but the sector might grow enormously or fall at times. PC is right about it. The manner in which the host responded to it might throw doubt on this, so I just wanted to clarify. TL;DR PC is right about service sector growth.
You can get his real face from people from his own constituency. He has not even done basic facilities to his constituency. Inspite of being in the biggest post for more than 30 years. But has done everything to his family for generations .
