I received my C2 slide from Vinny Monday.
Range time Tuesday to dial in Optic and verify accuracy was on par with “pre Genghis Comp”.
Carry ammo; Gold Dot 124 gr. +P.
25 yds benched, 5 shots, 1 1/8” C to C.
50 yds “, 5 shots 2 3/8”.
Virtually Bulls Eye gun accuracy. I noticed no “comp induced group shift” at increased distance.
Range ammo is handloads; 115 gr Zero JHP, HS6 at +P velocity. Accuracy 1 7/8” @25 yds.
Comps are most efficient with moderate to high Gas Volume. A case that’s pretty full of relatively slow powder & light bullet
let the comp work well.

Know you did a video on the cadre comp, and had a short experience at an event with the Dawson Ice comp. Curious how the Ice comp stacks up? Put a threaded barrel C2 on layaway and been going back and forth over it would be easier to just get ported and stay shorter vs keep the warranty but gain length with the comp.

Thanks man! Yeah I don’t have enough time behind the ice comp to give a fair shake. I’d say that from what I remember it felt pretty good in regards to recoil reduction.
Damn that's a really good upgrade to the C2, but man I'm not gonna lie I'm scare to do it lol. Overall, great content as usual.

Love this, thanks Roger! Waiting for my DLC Barrel to get back from Vulcan for my C2 then sending it out to get the Ghengis Comp from Monsoon. I already have my P with the Stacc Port so wanted to try the Ghenghis for my C2. Kinda stuck on which Cerakote to go with, I wish they had DLC as well. Probably just going to go with Black.

Love your videos, that’s for what you do! I have a Cajun p01 that’s been my edc, but gna get into a staccato C2. Would love to get this done, ut does it void the warranty? I’m guessing so, but seems like staccato has a service that will fit you with a new barrel, so wonder if you get that warranty back. Was in between Bul and Staccato, but the customer support and lifetime warranty was one of the big deciding factors

My only concern is the thin part of the slide at the end. How durable is that? If I drop my firearm will that break off? It just seems like a very thin stress point. And because of you I’ve been trying to locate a P grip for my c2 but nothing seems to be in stock but I’m going to have to check out the holsters because that tiger stripe is 🔥 brings me back to the early 1990s color combos

I switched it out from my XC. You can prob order a full-size grip from extreme shooters grips.
Just had to sand down the trigger shoe a little bit.

Great content as usual Roger, always get excited when I get a notification for a new QVO video. Where the heck do I get a C2x?? I prefer shorter slides with full length grips and I've been wanting this for a Staccato forever. The closest I've gotten is running the 2019 Staccato P with 4.15" slide vs the newer 4.4" Staccato P slide.
I put a P grip onto my C2. You’d have to purchase a full-size grip module and put it on yourself.

Genghis Comp vs DSC V8 porting…what say you?
Ghengis comp or stacc ports? What are your thoughts on the dsc v8 ports?
I have a dum question. What is the difference in triggers between the XC and the C2 and does the P have the same trigger as the C2 or XC? I shot the XC and C2 and it is night and day.
Not at all, this is a super good question. I am not an expert when it comes to building these guns, I just like shooting them a lot and I know a little bit about them. However from my understanding I believe it is the main spring that gives you a lighter trigger. The lighter the spring the lighter the pull weight is what I believe it to be. That is the spring in the back strap of the grip. Hope that helps. And yes it is definitely a night and day difference.
Also, after talking to a buddy it also has to do with the Sear spring or leafspring and fine-tuning that. So kind of a combination among those two and a couple of others from what I am reading.
What kind of bench rest did you use to zero the handgun?

Mr. Roger, you may remember our talk on the Monsoon chunk port vs the Night Hawk. Am I seeing things or is the blast shield angled slightly forward as the plum when watching you shoot it in comparison to the Ghenghis comp the new Ghenghis seems to send the plume slightly forward. If so, great move on their part!
Did you by chance notice any change to the buffeting on the face from the comp blast?
I was looking seriously at the Staccatos as they are by Texas standards, just a few miles South of me. What is giving me pause is customer relations. I spoke to a customer recently and he said they refused to sell or fit a threaded bbl. to his New Staccato as it did not come with it and they do not do custom work.
Really, as it is an option, how can it be custom work? I will talk to them, but if this is truly how they treat their customers I will go another direction It may very well not be true. I will not make a decision until I actually talk to them personally.
If it is indeed the case, I will either port a Bul Commander in 9mm or the carry Dan Wesson. It only takes a short period of time in my shop to comp either of them. Unless i go completely crazy and pick up a Cz Shadow orange or SA only Blue.
Enjoying the new mic. Nice to be able to hear comments immediately after shooting where it was often difficult for the first few seconds before.
I do have a question however, do you have any idea the recoil spring weight in the gun as it handles different loads very well. All I can find is color codes which means nothing to me as many companies use different colors for different spring rates. Thank You!

The comp design is ramped all along the opening now. It’s pretty sweet. As far as Staccato and the threaded barrel, it is my understanding that you have to order the threaded barrel with your gun when you place the order since they are hand fit to each gun. Not sure if they do if after the fact or not. I have a threaded barrel model but it was purchased with the gun originally versus getting one after. I’d reach out to staccato for sure. 👍🏼👊🏻

Would really be considered a comp or is it a ported barrel.
Comp, ports are holes such as Vulcan or the original chunk port from monsoon. For the new genghis comp, they hollow out the inside of the barrel to create an expansion port which makes it a true compensator design
Were you running the Staccato OEM recoil spring or someting lighter on the C2 Ghenghis Comp?
I wonder if the comp would make the oem spring last longer

In my opinion yes. I’ve never had to warranty my staccatos and I have 9 of them. 👍🏼👊🏻
