obviously I've not seen the show yet but I don' t understand why Klaus would react negatively to not having his powers given he used to stay permanently high in order to avoid seeing the ghosts because it was so traumatic. You'd think he'd be doing cartwheels about being free.
I'm pretty sure Klaus isn't really sad about not seeing ghosts anymore but because he lost his immortality. He had just found out about that power and learned how to use it and now it's taken away. Also he knows how many times he's already been "dead", so now he's terrified he would die, knowing it'll be his final death then

I think after a while he got used to it and maybe kinda gave him a sense of comfort but idk
