Link can not lower his hood down by himself, so he has to travel to some village just to ask someone to lower his hood down for him. He's like a kid asking his mom to tie his shoes. That's the man who saved the world once and the one who is going to save it again a second time.
he visits a mayor and a famous designer just so he gets his hood lowered
@@oussama7132 the top of society require the highest of experts to do the most mundane of tasks

if you put the hylian hood down and buy another one, one will be up and one will be down so you don’t have to travel to put it down
So link can defeat a demon king but can’t lower a hood lol
if you put the hylian hood down then buy another one, one will be up and one will be down so you don’t have to travel to put it down

Oh sweet so you can buy another? Good

Big brain never wouldve thought to buy two to have one of each
Bruhh this doesn't work for meeeeee once I Lower it or get it up all of my hoods do the same
First game, lonely, reflective, hood up. This game, Link's more well known, everyone's trying to help, hood down. I can dig it.
but he cannot down the hood for himself is ridiculous. How difficult is to add a system like that in the game? I dont understand.
@@rodrigo.lourenco0 link just doesn’t know how
@@jack7673 like how he doesn’t know how to talk lol
@@rodrigo.lourenco0 I agree, honestly. I just bought a second hood and dyed it the same color so I have one that's up and one that's down.
@@Nel_Annette same here lol
I had no idea this was possible! I’ve always wanted it to be possible to wear the hood with it lowered; so it makes me so happy to see it’s actually a thing.
I’m loving all the little things Tears does differently from it’s predecessor; even the smaller ones like this
I don't think I would applaud them for putting something I'd expect a decent reward behind to be something I didn't know I could do but seemed like common sense for me to be able to do *normally* if it was present in the game.
I just got the amiibo and thought Link looked better with the hood down but didn't know it was even an option until this video popped up. It's funny you have to complete a whole quest just to unlock the option.
@@Manavine my man, the immaculate drip is worth
That's...a lot of steps to put a hood up or down. Would have been really nice if there was just a button or option on the clothing screen, even if you still had to complete this sidequest to unlock it.
It's the most Nintendo way to add something like this.
you could probably buy 2 separate hoods to switch between on and off fast but yeah its pretty cumbersome
@@austinl8074 Same with the horse and the attachment thing at the stables
@@godzelda123 except not as tedious and it’s part of a rewards system.
@@isplat927 You say that like it was mandatory to be a reward system side thing. could've just been a menu item.
Only Nintendo can make lowering a hood in to a multi part mission 🤣
Seriously, I gotta say it was annoying going through all that just to have my hood down but I guess it definitely made it more satisfying
At least she sells the shield
@@roxtechs what do you mean?
@@Daredevil_10_ When you find the Hylian Shield and it breaks, you can purchase it from Cece for 3000 Rupees. She also sells back any piece of armor that you may have sold, with the exception to armor gained from a Bargain Statue which can only be purchased with Poes.
*And* that stupid ponytail forms when you do it 😂🤦♂️
To restate what others have said, after putting down your hood, simply purchase a new hylian hood from a shop and it's hood will be up still. You have to buy it after putting down your hood, as changing its style with cece seems to change all hoods in your inventory.
Thank you
That’s really stupid they should do a DLC update where she only lowers the hoodie that you are wearing, I had to resale and repurchase all my hoodies of different colors because she lowered all of them unless there is another way to purchase a lowered and a high hoodie without it affecting all your hoodies after speaking to CECE about lowering down one of them let me know
They made this cumbersome for no reason lol
Honestly... I thought it’d be nice if he put on and lowered his hood depending on the weather.
Everything in this game is
You could buy a second one and have that one put down, while the other one is kept up.
I just got the dark link outfit and I’m gonna wear it with the hood. I didn’t know you can take it off. Thanks for the guide!
How do you get the Dark Link outfit?
@@Amplifymagic poes
Does the outfit have any use this time around?
@@Pop_Shepski probably the same as botws night speed up
@@mightythearmadillo4179 Several days late but this is it, yes. Can't be upgraded, but offers Night Speed Up. Shame that it can't be upgraded though. It totally should be able to be. I can't see any reason for gear that has identical effects to other, upgradeable gear to not be able to.
It’s crazy to think a warrior like Link who pulls off such amazing feats cannot do something as simple as pulling down his own hood.
Thanks you the quick and informative guide! My feedback is I'd prefer anything related to quests be left much more vague as avoid any spoilers (including the rewards for the quests!) For example could've said something like "Complete all quests relating to Cece and make sure you side with her when given the chance. After the shop opens back up, talk to Cece while wearing the hood." I know this is a sensitive area but I feel a dedicated quest walkthrough is best place for stuff like that so only people seeking that info get it.
how would anyone know to talk to cece with the hood in the first place?
I don’t wanna know what happens if I lower my hood without Cece’s permission
The fashion police breaks down your door to arrest you
Link will instantly have a nervous breakdown as he is forced to do something his mind simply cannot comprehend.
That sounds like a lot of work for something that probably could've just been a toggle in a menu.
If it was EA they would've made it DLC
@@BitchChill should we be grateful it isn't EA
you can buy double outfit and change between them like when we got double for color change
confirmed?
@@bizzdakidgaming7832 Yes. I have a hylian hood that is “open” and I bought another hylian hood that was closed
My man just solved the hood problem with capitalism
son of a gun you did it!
Richtig, man sollte das lesen nicht verlernen außerdem sind die wichtigen Wörter/Texte sogar immer Rot betont.
So does this mean prior to the start of the game, Zelda went all the way to Cece to put her hood down before meeting up with Link at Hyrule Castle?
Thank you for finding this out I’ve been watching your videos on TOTK I actually just did the quest line today! I got the hylian hood because it was a headgear and I didn’t have a hood.
AFTER lowering the hood, go buy another hylian hood so you can have both in your inventory. Do not ask cece to change the hood ever again, because she will change both to be the same resulting in wasted rupees and upgrades on the second hood.
Perfect for the fashionista in all of us 🥰
This could have easily been an option when putting it on
Just so everyone knows, if you don’t want to talk to Cece about it every time you wanna switch, you can just buy two hoods at lookout landing
What about a video with the crazinest machines build by the players? I am really looking forward for this
Nice the outfits in this game are amazing
This is pheraps one of the few misses of the game... why making the hood option not something you can do on your own once unlocked?
It's fine that it is locked behind a quest, but the action itself really could have been made something you could trigger on your own afterwards.
Also, it's really odd that they made Link's tied hair a separate option here, compared to the new standart... yet when you have the hood down the hair is tied up always and ever, even when Link doesn't even have the hairband option.
When I was playing the new Zelda tears ofk, I found something shocking! You know those big skeleton looking heads everywhere in Hyrule. On my way to soars domain I found a hole under a big head! And there I saw more bone under it that looked like a rib cage. When I went deeper down I found something that looked like a Pelvis. Maybe this is proof that Hyrule used to have giants?
Are you serious? We’re gonna need more information on this… BIG if true!
@@LeonSKennedy7777 literally
@NoMicKike never expected Wendigoon to be mentioned in a Zelda comment section, but I’m definitely here for it

@@LeonSKennedy7777This is a deadly discovery, we must keep this hidden
I liked the hood in the first game, but I really wished that you could lower the hood. I'm glad they added this, even if it might be a bit tedious.
THE GAME IS PEAK!!!
My question is what happens if you get amiibo armor pieces from amiibo then go to the in game chest containing the same armor piece?
you just get dupes, they sell for like 600 rupees each and can be re-obtained from somewhere for some currency
I already did the Hateno village quests just cuz it was one of my the first things on my list to do. After seeing if Lon Lon was rebuilt...
It wasnt😢
What is the recipe that Mayor Reede asks for? I can not find it
OMG I did the quests but didn't knew I could do that! Give me that hood lowered, it's my favorite outfit even further improved!
Now, THIS is a gamechanger.
I didn't know you could lower the hood. I thought it was another piece of clothing. Thank you, I wouldn't have found this on my own.
Maan... this used to be an option on the settings menu on every other game out there... guess we will have to go the looooong route
To be fair, link helps so many people in this game. So i think he deserves it to get his hood lowered from another person.
Yessss finally after so many years i can put my hood down
My guy, I was looking for this. Thank you.
thank you for these videos ❤
For those who never heard of this, it's a fun informative video. However, I must warn those who read this comment that while lowering the Hylian Hood down is fun and all, it also applies to ALL Hylian Hoods. I thought, "Hey! I can have two Hylian Hoods and have one the default hood-up and the second one is hood-down." Nope! BOTH were hood-down! Thankfully I hard-saved so I backtracked a minute with the hard-save to have never spent 70 Rupees for a second Hylian Hood.
Well, you CAN have one of each. Just buy the second hood AFTER getting your first one hood-down.
@@LloydTheZephyrian That is what I did. The second Hylian Hood was hood-down upon purchase.
I thought it was not possible, thx ^^
this is WONDERFUL. i wanna see my baby boy but the hylian hood is my best headgear rn 😩
Thanks for the info. I think I’m just gonna buy two hoods. One up, one down.
YO!!! I HAD NO IDEA THANK YOU
as cool as it is, i already got dripped out with completely different clothes. I rocked the hylian set with amber earrings throughout most of botw, so i dont think i'll be going back this time around. especially since i got this cool pharroh/mummy vibe with my totk Link
This is funny Link needs help putting down his own hoodie.
The man that has a habit of saving the land 🤣
I think Link just wants the attention 🤣
You can have the hood lowered and then buy it again and have it the way it was but you can have both up and down.
That's cool that they add fashionist
Looks so good
Thanks this helps a lot
Im so glad I already did those quests :D
Thx this helped alot
You can buy another hood in that shop if you sill also want one that stays up.
What if I buy a second hood? Can I keep one up and one down?
I just bought a second hood for when I wanna wear it up lol 🤣
If I buy a second hood will that hood be down as well or will it be up like the traditional hylian hood
Someone else said yes. They bought one and have it open. And then bought another and have it closed.
it's like having a personal assistant/maid/butler, helping us with dressing 😊
This game needs a glamor system, separating outfit look you're currently using, and the underlying stats. I wanna look cool on death mountain, damn it
Spam fire resistance potions, I’m the same way tbh. Would rather have link looking badass with his champion shirt, hood, and hylian garb than wear flame resistant ugly bulky armor. I’ll just spam fire potions when I get there
@@sonymicronin I get that, but if i have fully upgraded flame resist, why can't i use those stats? that's a glamor system. you use the stats of one piece of gear, but the appearance of another. You do still need to put the work in to aquire both
I’m happy it’s at least an option
So glad this is a thing in the game
you can also get the hair tie in the well of zeldas house it does the same thing
i already beat the game but the whole time i was like "dang where is link's scarf i feel like i should found it by now. this entire time i had it and just had to talk this woman.
So… buying another hood doesn’t present two different options? Like one hood has the laid down look and the other one being up and covering his face?
Thank Hylia I learned this important tip immediately after defeating the final boss.
It's nice the option is there, but it kind of boggles my mind Nintendo didn't just give us the option to wear it down without a quest.
If you do this quest and buy a second hood is it also lowered or can you have one lowered and the other one up
definitely gonna do this
I haven't tried it, but you maybe could buy a second cloak, and have 1 with the hood up and 1 with it down. Testing is required.
This is taking character incompetence to a whole other level lol.
How do I complete the side quest called A NEW SIGNATURE FOOD with the mayor dude
What's your recommended order for taking care of the Phenomena on a first playthrough?
Rito death mountain Zora's domain gerudo desert
Thank youuuu!!!
What are all the Mayor/Cece quests then? That would help to list them.
I wish he had his hair down still. the whole reason I want to put the hood down is to see his flowing hair
At least I can make Link look like a badass now. Don't like the traditional hood. Now I can wear the Dark Link outfit with the hood down. :D
Totally forgot about this until now
I wish more of these older outfits from BotW had Links hair down. Like without the ponytail. I get that its a classic look, and they do update it by making his hair slightly longer, but I think his hair down looks great too. I feel like it would also fit better for accessories like the Ruby and Sapphire circlets, no reason to add a ponytail to that.
Amazing
What is the recipe that Mayor Reede asks for? I can not find it help me
Question: I haven’t done the mayor-thing yet, but I wonder if helping the other guy will ruin this by pissing her off?
When I went back to Lookout landing there was a second set of the og clothing thwy sold so i guess you coukd buy 2 hoods and have 1 down as to not have to go see her all the time.
Could u make a video of how to do all these quests I need help and I can’t find it on yt
What was Eiji Aonuma thinking with this decision 💀. Link can save the world twice but a hood is too impossible for our speechless hero lmaooo
Link, allow me to introduce you to a tool known as *H A N D S*
I wish they would just give us the option in the inventory menu. That would make more sense
Who knew that link could take out Ganon and Ganondorf on his own but cant move his hood down himself
Ok thank you for the learning but what's that green ring In ur inventory Dx I must know!!!
I wish link could keep the mullet barbarian look when the hood is down
Which armor Link is wearing in the art we all saw:
Lowered Hylian Hood, Champion tunic and what about legs?
I was looking for this because in the trailer link has his hood down
If possible, I’d probably just buy two hoods and have one up and one down
This would be awesome if I still wore the hood. Unfortunately, I've become way too attached to the Glide Mask and I'm never taking it off.
is it possible to do this type of thing with any other armors or is it just the hood? such as like with some headpieces could you tie links hair such as with the glide mask or miners mask?
What do you do for the quest with Reede trying to remember a recipe?
Go to the Hateno farm and do the quest to be able to make cheese. The girl is standing at the pond near the farm
just wish hood down didnt add the pony tail.... I like link with all his hair flowing goodness lol
I would love to get the hood down and all but does helping cece mean that the decorations around hateno have to stay? I want the hood down but I just don’t like the bizarre mushroom aesthetic that cece has going on so I don’t want to sacrifice the classic hateno look for a stylish hood. Since I’m avoiding spoilers I’m not really sure if you even can remove the decorations but I assume that helping the mayor removes them.
Quick question: can you have two separate hoods with one up and one down?
Yup, you just have to buy another one lol
@@Stain297 What is the recipe that Mayor Reede asks for? I can not find it
@@cristobalcampusanoantileo11 you do a quest where you buy cheese and give it to him

They should make the head band a key item so that way I can wear the Hylian Hood and have BotW hair at the same time
Honestly I like the hood on more it looks cooler lol makes me feel like an assassin lol
very tedious indeed BUT having the option is a nice subtile detail
Having two hoods, one up and one down.
Menacing laugh*
I think it would have been better to have the option to lower or raise the hood when you purchase your very first Hylian Hood. Having this option locked behind a side quest feels unnecessary.
With this is think it's possible to buy two to keep one up and the other down
I like the hood being down but I wish I could still have the long hair
