What is Clash Of Steel? (2023 guesswork)

The images all come from Battlefronts Preview video (and 2 of my older videos). The new Clash of Steel game has caused a few to stop and wonder. What is Clash of Steel? Why is Battlefront making it? Will the game take over the spot of some other game?
I gather what information I have, combing the video preview for every last scrap of detail. Here are my thoughts.
NOTE:
It is funny that BF has the same name for their recent Berlin Battle box set. Oh well, these guys did make the move to just calling newer releases "period nation."
-- I don't think this is to compete with Flames of War, but to complement it.
Flames of War will continue to be the Historical side.
-- Then again, if this replaced World of Tanks, I'd be just fine with that....
X-wing had a garbage stats system, the rest of what made X-wing cool was being Star Wars and having that really cool idea on how to handle movement... Both which we did not get in the GF9 games.
