My Gran used to go to school with Patricia Routledge. So obviously she was a huge fan! As a child, I used to just find the Bucket woman annoying. Now I see the humour. However, being a musician, I've always recognised her talent. To be able to play the piano (in some episodes) off key, but "in tune" takes true musical talent. What a talented woman! Musical, acting & comedy talent. A rare find to have all three in one person! Remarkable woman!
One of the best British Comedies ever made I reckon, I've got the complete collection on DVD and they're still just as hilarious, no matter how many times you watch them!
Love him - Richard is patience itself... Hyacinth is the epitome of the classic snob - she is priceless truly...😄😄😄 Great acting... Britwit at it's best...
I will always wonder how we survived before Mrs Bucket. Life must have been so complicated & confusing without her expert knowledge & simple approach to life.... Peggy Wood
Only Patricia Roiteledge could of played hyacinth. I've watched all the episodes over and over and still love them. There deffo could of been one more series though
We’ll, in my opinion the first hat suits you much better but the second one goes along much better with what you’re wearing, Hyacinth. Also, the second one seems more practical for a sunny day to keep the sun out of your eyes whereas the first one would provide less shade and therefore less comfort. If we’re basing our decision solely on looking at cottages, I’d suggest the first one because it looks more sophisticated while still rural. The second one is more rural than sophisticated.
Neither hat goes with that outfit. She is not wearing the hats with this outfit. She does not dress that way when she goes out. She is wearing a casual at home outfit. She is asking him about nice hats will will go with a more expensive outfit.
the colour scheme fits better with what she's wearing, and it has exactly that rural-yet-sophisticated look she's looking for. Then again, it would be better if she also showed what kind of jacket or coat she was gonna wear, to match.
She is simply an excellent actress. Her timing is always perfect.
"I will not have you being unfaithful to my hats."
One of the best lines in this series.
😁😁😂😂👏👏👏👍👍
Second only to "How do I look for answering the telephone?"
Patricia should have had an oscar. Never seen anyone play a part so damn well.
Such a gem lost in time.
She's not dead you know
There's no oscar for sitcoms
Tim Boxall But she deserves to be retired. She served the public well! I honestly learned English because of her, bevor I only understood the words.
Oscar is a movie award, for tv it will be an Emmy
@@fisherking7798 i will not have you be unfaithful to her awards
*RIP RICHARD, WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!*
One of the funniest British comedies I've ever seen ! Absolutely perfect in every way!
I like how she delivered the line: for looking at country cottages.
On this day Happy 90th Birthday to Patricia Routledge (Hyacinth) & RIP to recently deceased Clive Swift (Richard).
I love the fact people of other countries love this and watch this too :)
Brilliant acting by Patricia. The extra little looks she does when modeling the hats sets her apart from the crowd.
This series is a classic.. Gosh, the entire cast is legendary
Does it have are you being served waiting for God
anyone else think this man is a saint?
No
He certainly DESERVES to be sainted that's for sure! :=)
He’s a darling! Hyacinth doesn’t deserve him lol
He better go straight to heaven, he’s suffered enough 😅
yes

God knows how she makes me laugh! I have been in love with these two and their neighbours and family and of course Sheridan for years!🌞
Sheridan was never seen.
Yes Christopher, she knows that ShEriDan wAs nEvEr sEeN.
Conducive to contemplating cozy, charismatic, country cottages!!!
completely conducive
If I ever suffer with short term memory loss will you be my friend?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
with riparian entertainments and hand-painted periwinkles...😉

Priceless. Long live Richard and Hyacinth Bucket
RIP Richard...
" It's Boo- kay !" Eye roll !
Stefan Sigfinnsson It's buquet. Richard's ancestors were heugenics. Don't you remember? ;) Ow gawd she indocttinatrd me too....
Don t you mean Bouquet?? Lol!!
I have always loved this series! Patricia Routledge is amazing as Hyacinth!
I lov a mini series of these two when they were younger n how they met
My favorite of all comedies! Wish the show could have lasted forever!
You don’t like my HATS! 😂😂😂
Funnest sitcom ever! Never goes out of style!
I hit the like button before she could even say Riiichard!
She would say "Watch out for the like button Richard". 😀
That's her way of telling don't you dare cheat on ME!
Love him - Richard is patience itself... Hyacinth is the epitome of the classic snob - she is priceless truly...😄😄😄
Great acting... Britwit at it's best...
0:22 that part is awesome!!
One of my favorites.
I will always wonder how we survived before Mrs Bucket. Life must have been so complicated & confusing without her expert knowledge & simple approach to life.... Peggy Wood

Could have*
Hahaha, she was most certainly ahead of her time. I just love the message in between this humour. 👍❤️
I love this show! Hyacinth is the best, even though the entire cast is great. Hyacinth is like the British Lucille Ball (in a funny way).
Less than a minute long and I still laughed several times 🤣🤣
Richard almost laughed there.😆
I love this series, from Poland❤
RIP Clive aka Richard
I love Hyacinth so much, even though she can be thoughtless at times, I still love her!!

cracks my up every time.i love this show
RIP Clive ❤️
I love those British shows they are so funny 😂😂
I keep replaying this and I cry with laughter at the last line every time
Hey can you do a compilation of Hyacinth and the Major. I always like how he called her “ little minx”. He had the hots for her.
Gold just pure gold =)
RIP Clive Swift
She’s a great actress
I just love her! Hyacinth deserves the recognition Archie Bunker always got. She's just as infuriating, and ultimately, just as lovable.
I imagine the team making this series had as many laughs as the lucky audience. This is timeless, self effacing humour.
Lol. Unfaithful to hats, is that even a thing? 🤣
Wish it could have gone on forever....
Brilliant as always !! ha ha
There is a Bucket in every family
Several in mine
I love how she says "see-you-table"
Hahah brilliant!
Personally I like the green one
I have never known that a man's mid-life crisis has something to do with hats!
Wonderful 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😂😂😂😂😂👒
I make those faces every time I'm asking someone which they think is better.
Richard must of really loved hyacinth to put up with her
I love this show 😂😂😂
It isn't a show,it is a Comedy
Why she look like my grandma? XD My grandma love this serial 😁
Hyacinth reminds me a lot of my late Grandma too.
Because she looks like everyone's grandma. The same way Winston Churchill looked like everyone's newborn.
@@Anglomachian oh SNAP!
Does Richard look like your grandpa?
Oooo poor Richard...🙆♀️🙆♀️🙆♀️😘☺️🌝
The one with the purple ribbon Hyacinth dear.
This Lady was amazing 🤣🤣🤣👍
I looooveeee her!!! 😁❤👍👌
Its her voice crack at the end that gets me
The second one, most definitely the second one.
Hahaha.. best series ever😍😍😍
She honestly just about cried and the purple won darling.
Great clip, but why did you crowd the last few seconds with all those ads? You could barely see the scene under them.
There are no ads at all
I love them!
R.I.P. Richard
She's brilliant
brilliant
does Richard smile at 00:50, is he happy to only be described as in 'mid-life'
How dare he be this unfaithful..hats have feelings too you know ###sobbiing##
The person who does the crossover edits... he could do one with Colombo and KUA. How Richard finally strangled Hyacinth! Lol
Poor Richard!!! What he had to put up with.
My fav comedy! Are you going to upload full episodes?
That isn't possible by Brit Box
All episodes from Keeping Up Apperances is fully copyright protected
Straw hat with the purple ribbon, it goes with her dress.
Why she never got an Oscar for this role, I'll never know.
Maybe if you understood what an Oscar was...
@@UnitSe7en maybe you should remove that big stick outta your behind...?
Oscars are for movies. For television it would be an Emmy. And there was really no reason for either of you to be rude to each other over this.
Well done
This!? *looks around in a funny way*
or...This *looks around in a funny way*
Definitely the green one.
It's all about the Hats!!
I always do that when I'm asking someone which they prefer. I think the wicker one is my favorite.
the colour scheme fits better with what she's wearing, and it has exactly that rural-yet-sophisticated look she's looking for. Then again, it would be better if she also showed what kind of jacket or coat she was gonna wear, to match.
Preach it ...
The green one!
The second hat for sure.
A great and unfortunately necessary scathing assault on British snobbery. A spiritual successor to fawlty towers.
brilliant pommy comedy.
How many seasons did it air??? I am thinking of buying a complete dvd set, if available, i love this show!!!
I don't know which country you are in but, I have the box set bought from Amazon.
Complete collection series 1-5 40 episodes.
It did not air for nearly enough seasons!
@@AmberPandathere are actually 44 Episodes
Oh it’s just way too tragic!
Personally I think the second hat seemed appropriate.
I'd go with the second one.
Love her hats tho 👏🏻
She should have worn the purple one, because it's the same shade as a hyacinth.
She was an incredible acress...as are they all in this series....but lets be honest..shes the Star turn...
How is this even a question, the straw hat is clearly more suitable
Great
Okay the mid life crisis fked me up 😭😭😭
I wish that this channel was free on rouku!
Closer to QE2 than you think.
