    This was filmed in Coventry. A friend of a friend's aunt owned the very bungalow hyacynth and Richard lived in. All the props are real.

    I had to get a whole Bucket collection. I watch Hyacinth when I need to feel cozy or have anxiety. She always so optimistic. Love Hyacinth!

      Hyacinth was always optimistic because she was very self centered and wrapped up in her own world 🌎 she thought 🤔 Sheridan her only child cared about he mummy because he phone her up but he only phone 📱 her up asking for money 💰 she probably spolit him rotten as a child Richard was more cynical of their son Sheridan motives for ringing up.

    Elizabeth character developed over the course of the series from being the intimidated neighbour to playing along with Hacythints over powering ego and actually being one step ahead of her.
    Great ensemble cast. Clive Swift-total legend.

    My ma watched this show. She had my aunt's over, and would serve tea and cake. Then they would watch the PBS British programs. Then they would gossip about what was happening at church.
    Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet, if you please), made my ma laugh. My ma worked a job and cooked and cleaned for six children.
    You only get one mother, then you are on your own.

    I LOVE KUA!..and I love Hyacinth being the butt of the jokes!..but..you have to admit, (and I'm only of U.S. taste)..her table is very well laid for a person of her station!..I WOULD stagger back without prompting!..LOL

      The wicks are unburnt, perhaps an deliberate etiquette faux-pas on the part of the production team to show that despite her professed in-depth knowledge of manners, Mrs Bucket missed this one!
