Elizabeth character developed over the course of the series from being the intimidated neighbour to playing along with Hacythints over powering ego and actually being one step ahead of her. Great ensemble cast. Clive Swift-total legend.

My ma watched this show. She had my aunt's over, and would serve tea and cake. Then they would watch the PBS British programs. Then they would gossip about what was happening at church. Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet, if you please), made my ma laugh. My ma worked a job and cooked and cleaned for six children. You only get one mother, then you are on your own. Gentlemen, Honor, love, and be grateful for the women that make the world. Without women in our lives, we would be lost.
