The Substance is the most exciting film I’ve seen in such a long time, and I’m so excited it’s resonating with people. It’s like creative reinvigoration!
We Grown Now was a 2024 movie that was unfortunately very slept on and I implore anybody with a Netflix subscription to please go watch it since it was just recently put on there. A beautiful, emotional, earnest, heartfelt movie with amazing cinematography and a fantastic soundtrack.
LOVE seeing all the Hundreds of Beavers hype! In a perfect world, we would get this movie a Best Visual Effects nominee cuz the style is so zany and fits the tone of the film phenomenally! And there isn’t a single bad shot, unlike Furiosa or Deadpool or Twisters or basically any big-budget film this year(besides Dune Part Two) I’d also absolutely recommend watching Evil Does Not Exist. It’s a Japanese film that’s so calming and intriguing for the most part, and then goes in an expected and amazing turn in the end. Plan on getting the Criterion Collection release soon.
mr ross, red one is actually the greatest movie ever made, movie of the year, movie of the decade, movie of the century, I can’t believe you insult such a masterpiece, im immediately un subbing 😡😡😡
I love love the substance. My favourite movie of last year too. And I'm so happy with the awards season being in the substance's favour as horror isn't know to do this. I just hope it's gets a best picture nomination and I'll be very very happy
My top movies that came out this year were Dune 2, Monkey Man, Alien Romulus, Milk and Serial and the Substance Really liked Nosferatu, Hitman and Furiosa, but didn't make the favorites
Congrats on being the only person in the world who remembers that Kinds of Kindness came out this year; I loved Dogtooth and Killing of a Sacred Deer and The Favourite but damn this one did nothing for me.
Your top 10 was the best I’ve seen so far from other RUclipsrs! Hundreds of beavers was one of the best experimental films of the year in my opinion. The substance was an amazing horror film that will definitely be a movie I will watch during Halloween again and again and again. Hot take?: but Dune 2 was miles better than its original. Dune 2 was also on my top 10 MAINLY because of its cinematography. One movie I was hoping to see on some people’s top 10 was Robot Dreams. It’s a very good animated movie with an extremely heartbreaking and beautiful message. If you haven’t, I would highly recommend giving it a watch.
When you ripped up both(?) Joker posters I laughed out loud, that comedic timing was immaculate

Kinds of Kindness was slept on like crazy.
Jesse Plemons in the first story hasn’t left me
Yup, such a good film! One of my favorites of 2024.

Didn’t knew Karsten had a brother, good video though. Is letterboxd patron worth it?
The Brutalist is the best film of the year
It is. That intermission was amazing.
I feel like I'm the only person in the world who has Joker 2 in my top 10 of all time.
Awesome video and also I’m curious where do you purchase your posters from
Thank you! I have found the best place to get authentic movie posters is from either listings on eBay or from Movieposters.com!
@@JakobRoss thank you 😁
Megalopolis is actually a masterpiece you wouldn't understand
Joker should’ve beatboxed in Joker Folie the deuce
Firing squad was the #1 best movie of the year what are you talking about
Def a hot take for me, but i enjoyed Joker 2
Although, i feel if i rewatched it with all this in mind, i doubt itd hold up as well.
Sorry but the best title card of the year belongs to KILL
14:02 he sadly lost the globe :(
I didn't watch many good movies this year but my favorite was Civil War, if you haven't watched it you totally should
Congrats on being the only person in the world who remembers that Kinds of Kindness came out this year; I loved Dogtooth and Killing of a Sacred Deer and The Favourite but damn this one did nothing for me.
