I love the tundra my dad had an 02 tundra I loved that truck never had a problem with it. Im looking to get another tundra or a Tacoma but the tundra is too expensive now days. I can buy a small house for that price lol. But I do it like tho nice trucks one day I’ll buy one. When I can afford one. Keep up the great videos.
I have a F150 and an a loyal Ford fan, but I can appreciate the Toyota because it doesn't have all luxury feel or look to it. It's a truck! It's supposed to be used as a truck. As a truck owner I can say there is two people who drive trucks. One person uses the truck like it's supposed to be used. It has stains, dents rust, and has stuff in the tailgate bed all the time. The person gets out wearing muddy boots. Then there is the always clean no mud nothing in the tailgate bed (ever) the person wears dress up clothes. This truck is perfect for the working man. I'm kind of ashamed The domestic truck brands have so many luxury items it makes them unaffordable for the average working man.
I agree sir, I have an 05 ranger I got as my first ever vehicle 5 years ago. I’ve beaten the living shit out of it and it has been very reliable. I’ve been looking to buying a new truck but with these prices it’s making it hard.
I never understood why people pay thousands and thousands of dollars for lift kits, tires and all of that but it’s never been off a paved road.
I like my trucks basic as well. Hell,
On my last 3 trucks I’ve had the dealership take off the running boards or step’s because I’d tear them off on stumps or logs in the bush. I guess if you got money to burn people can do what they want but it’s still hard for me to understand lol
That’s your opinion. My opinion is people like what they like and other people shouldn’t give af what someone else does with there money. If someone wants to buy a truck cause it looks nice and cool to drive as a daily driver on paved roads guess what they can do that. Also even if you do used your truck as a truck most people still keep it in good condition.. I wouldn’t want dents in my vehicle.
@@iamjstew___4473 exactly. I don't understand spending all that money and actually wanting dents and stains and rust LMAO.
I’m totally done with ford. Water pump went out 57k. Front differential went out at 59k, now it pulls left and right and dealership has no idea. $$$$
Thank you Ben. Really like this trim level in the white. Really nice truck and agreed it has great aftermarket potential.
Probably one of my favorite package for the SR5. Super informative thx
Making me regret my SR5 TSS package 😅
My dream pickup truck!! Nice review Ben.
Same man I’ve loved Toyota since I was just a young lad still haven’t bought one but hopefully soon
Awesome vid. Thanks for the details. Wondering about the sr5 trd package. More or less the same? I’m assuming upgraded wheels, tires, and suspension (4WD of course). My 2019 4Runner trd basically just had crawl control features and bilstein suspension. Does the tundra come with crawl control or is that reserved for the trd pro?
it comes with the trd package, trd pro is another trim. so you can get sr5 or platinum and add trd package and a bunch of other struff
On the package info online where can you check to see if it has the camera mirror
Does the sr5 trd package have that opening storage on the passenger dash or just plain covered
Great review thanks!
You get a lot of info out in short order. Thanks
It beautiful Truck my 2010 Tundra with 300k miles and still run smoothly my new Truck will be a 2023+ Tundra 👍
Nice, looks just like a Stormtrooper.
Nice video Really should've gone into more detail about the towing package though Since It's kind of one of he main reasons for buying a truck
$57,000 for a SR5?! My 2021 Crewmax Limited with the TRD Offroad package was $49,000 new. Toyota needs to put down their crack pipe.
Plus the 5 to 10k markup
@@fernandovasquez5251 people will still buy it even if they do like 30k markup. ita worth the price
It’s only worth the price to a fool.
It’s worth the price to a fool willing to spend money on that kind of markup
@@donaldirvin8008 cry about it lol shit lasts forever
Can you please 🙏 do a review of a 2023 tundra limited TRD off road crew Max?
I wish they would’ve at least kept a V8 as an option
And get crap mpg
@@hurricane8634 it would be nice to have an option
@@hurricane8634 if u get a truck expecting good mileage ur a Moron
@@OhioStateBuckeyefanstuckinMI every car maker is phasing out V8 because of emission laws. Diesel might stay though, diesel is essential for construction, transportation, and manufacturing powered purposes. Electric isn’t advanced to takeover those industries, too slow, dies fast.
Thank dumbass liberals and the "green agenda"
Why is the payload only 1300lbs on this model? The air suspension, does it add that much weight.... A lot of the campers my wife and I are looking at are 800-1100lbs hitch weight. They need to up the payload capacity of this truck. I want the truck but it's annoying having to worry about the weight.
I am really impressed by this monster of the road, I love it and I dream of having it for myself and my family. How much does it cost? Live in Ny and prepare to moov to another state ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Let Toyota know we need more 6.5 beds, a step for bed access, front hooks, and for what they are charging the center consul should be constructed with better materials than the cheap plastic they use. How are the turbo’s behaving?
Absolutely worth it!
I got the SR5 with the conviences package. because I wanted the larger fuel tank
Honestly I like these trucks but I mostly Iike the TRD Pro. Kinda like the last generation, unless it's the TRD they have a bit of an "old man" feel. I agree with what you said aftermarket wheels and tires would go a long way on other trims but then your into it for a ton of $$.
Trailer back up assistance is good. Leather seats or softex seats.
Does it have a qi charger for my phone? Or would I still be tied to a cord?
What about the towing capacity?
Are the console USBs fast chargers?
I love my 2023 Limited CrewMax. It's in the Army Green color and it is absolutely gorgeous. I get constant compliments on it. People are way too hard on this truck. V8s are dead and obsolete for most things... get over it. You're only going to be seeing V8s in super large trucks or sports cars moving forward. Imagine comparing a Toyota to a Ford. Sorry but Ford's quality and reliability is garbage... how many recalls are they up to now? I've been in new Ford trucks of the same generation and was not impressed at all by the interior or ergonomics... all cheap hard shiny plastic. My Toyota has leather interior surfaces and will always be more reliable than a Ford even with it's turbos. Don't even get me started on Dodge aka Chrysler. And there is plenty of power for me (I opted for the non-hybrid model). Smooth and sturdy. Also, who buys a half-ton truck and then complains about MPG? I can drive 421 miles on a single tank... not bad at all given the other stats of the vehicle.
Is the wind noise any issue
@@kennethrobinson1672 I've only noticed it when its already really windy outside.
as always excellent video Ben. May 28. bought me a 2023 Tundra off the lot at Mark Miller. I cannot find *nothing* I do not like about this truck. Ive owned new Cheys and F150's. Tundra is the winner. 'Viewers... please do your research. *TOYOTA* is worth more the GM & Ford combined. *(Ouchy)*
What’s considered premium ?
Click bait ! V8!? Come on bro
This gets the same mpg as my 09 Camry . Nice
So you can get a 3.5 gas or hybrid now ?
Yes
It's not a 3.5 it's 3.4
3.4?
No snow plowing as it is not recommended on the new Tundra.
Between Nissan and Toyota trucks, they got big balls asking for the prices
They should a v8 for Toyota tundra
Yes. A nat asp v8 would be perfect. Even a smaller entry level v8 like a 4.8 would be good.
@@ozzzzy939 true even a 4.8 V8
Do they have front bench seat options anymore?
As a Toyota fan, I like the truck not owning it, but it's definitely overpriced. 80K for a capstone? I think the 2024 Tacoma will be good, and I will recommend it more probably than this current generation Tundra. I have done a lot of research into this truck, and reception is slightly more postlitive than negative I think, but I think, while it's a really good truck, Toyota definitely could have done a better job with it. Hopefully the 2024 Tundra will be better.
i love twin turbos ! own a car with tt ! but definitely doesn’t go on any truck at all . sorry
Too expensive
True but it’s worth it cuz it’s never going to the mechanic and gonna last forever
@@stxrmcrow9575 Us Toyota fans don’t know that yet, but we do know is that the previous generation was bulletproof.Time will tell, but I hope you’re right.
The pickup truck market is crazy. No doubt it going clash soon, when no one can afford it, and only buy used truck
@@gulong612 I agree 👍🏼
Buying used is the way to go. Lol
the one i want no one makes.. i want the tundra sr5 with a sunroof, don't want any of the safety tech stuff, don't want any of the tech package or the seats, just want the 4wd with a sunroof.. i have a premium rav4 hybrid and it's loaded, none of the toyota tech stuff works, the blindspot monitoring is too slow, and blind most of the time, lane keep assist ping pongs in the lane, and dynamic cruise control leaves too big a gap.. i hate all of it.. what package can i get that has 4wd and a sunroof..
I would consider new Tundra only if it were v8 and had all aluminum body
It's a shame the made the hood so long which took room from the interior.
I wish the V-8 was still an option. Toyota might be surprised how many people would buy one!
It has TOO BIG of a grill like EVERYTHING Toyota builds.
I still said if ANY manufacturer would build a simple V-8 full size truck at a working persons price……they would sell like hotcakes!
Yeah the price is becoming ridiculous. I just bought a 2023 Toyota here in canada for $53000. Compared to ford, Chev and gmc it’s somehow cheaper.
@@RowsOfGreen Toyota doesn't have to deal with union parasites.
Very expensive for that package. Better off finding a limited and you’ll get cool seats
Yes but it will cost you like $60000 or more
@@scottmendoza8989 I agree, but if you're already paying $57k I will personally spend the extra 4-5k for the better sound system, ventilated seats, and pano moon roof. All of those add ons for the SRS is standard on the limited
Even if I like it, it's not worth buying at this crazy prices. I will still keep my 2011 tundra.
Am I the only one who thinks this guy talks like he hasn't finished the last word, and he is already saying the next word like next word overlaps the previous word ????
Give me chrome --- I prefer the 1794 albeit at a premium price
Hear me out, A V6 hybrid and us as the consumer upgrade the engine it’s self for more power😗
You wrote v8 over the red arrow for more people to watch the video or it’s just a prank ?
Most googled question
V8 had a question mark next to it
I love the tail lights. If I wasn’t so far over the moon on the tremor this truck in the TRD version would be my choice
Wish it had a v8 option ..
Man idk I wanted it but now I don’t know
Can you talk any faster?
Slow Down Bobby! Slow Down!
This truck is too expensive and has no V-8. I get just as good mileage on my 2017 tundra and no issues (several) like the new 2022 tundras.
Everyone is getting rid of the V8
It just doesn't compete with any of the US domestic trucks when it comes to cargo, hitch capacity and towing limits. As nice as the interior is, any Ford, Chevy, Ram or GMC can be specced with equally nice, or better, seats and accommodations. The Toyota doesn't inspire confidence the way American trucks do. An F-150 with its turbo V6 is more powerful with gobs more torque for towing, plus it has the hybrid system that can power one's home, if you choose. Ram and GMC are in another class altogether.
Not really, the GMC/Chevy seats are the hardest in this segment. The GM trucks also lack a panoramic moonroof which is basically expected for a luxurious ride these days.
The Toyota release on amore American than the other 3 big
After my experience with my substandard quality 2019 F150 and greedy, inept dealers and customer service, Ford is dead to me.
When did they start rolling out the 23's?
They are starting to roll them out. You can only order a 23 on their site now.
Way to basic that's a old persons truck, the air suspension is way better, tow hooks are a must
I don’t like the design on the outside. I love my 2022 Toyota Tacoma SR5 RWD V6 MGM for $14k+ less and no turbo.
Idk man a full size truck needs a v8
Did yall understand what he said at the beginning?😂 too quick
SofTex seats (thermoplastic polyurethane) funny Toyota puts PLASTIC seats in their cars and trucks and customers love it (yes including the TRD Pro Tundra and Sequoia for $80K)…?
They use plastic bc it’s more eco friendly. I like it better than leather.
Looks like no changes at all!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 you good buddy?
Don't expect any for a while, except for special editions like the trailhunter
@@ozzzzy939 I'm all about Crew Max Long beds with tow mirrors and panoramic sunroofs. No chrome or gloss black. Get rid of the tiny tires and get a factory leveling kit included. Finally, automatic seats that are cloth and integrated infotainment screen into the dash. No pop-up screens. Almost forgot, add TOW HOOKS and use the sequoia front end grill.
Probably wont be for another 12 years
This Tundra far to expensive you agree to a price and 8 months later they change the price on you not fair what is Toyota thinking about, this is one of the problem I had with Pickering Toyota ,they say one thing and another happens..go American made they are built stronger ..
Toyota goofed the redesign on the Tundra. Big mistake eliminating the V8. The grille looks stupid and overall the truck just looks cheap from the outside and wheel flares are hideous. I bough a 4 runner before they mess that up too. Many of us are not interested in Turbo engines or Hybrid drivetrains
V6 I'm sorry, what is a golf cart, let's wait a moment it will be 2 liters V2🤣🤣🤣
Uninspiring and too expensive with all that
Plastic.
January 30, 2023, dealers in Long Island still adding mark up.
You talk too fast bro
Way too much money for that truck and the front is still ugly
It’s hard to believe this dude on his assessments,..
Toyota screwed up when they dropped the V8. They can’t sell the new tundras in my area because of no V8. Same for the ford Ecoboost. Nobody wants a V6 no matter how much lipstick you put on it .
Hey auctioneer, slow the lips down so We can hear Ya please .
I strongly dislike turbocharged engines.
No plug 🔌, no deal 👎
U literally just saw a basic model which is the SR5
Why talk so fast
🔥👈
Twin turbos 😂 this thing won't last 100k miles trouble free😂
57 is not to bad for all the features
Is Mercedes, VW, Porsche, Jeep Grand Cherokee the only SUV who knows how to build a front end? This Toyota looks horrendous, ugly. They should fire the designer who designed this grill. Why not build one that’s clean, neat, and sophisticated?
You talk too fast sometimes....
Slow down man. You talk way too fast!!!!
Bet male trucks
Ugly, cheap, over complicated v6 twin turbo, terrible mpg. Should have kept the ultra reliable v8..
You talk so fast that you stumble over yourself and don’t fully pronounce all the words so you can be hard to understand. You just seem super rushed
Ugly looking truck, disappointed in you Toyota
It’s not bad just the front face that I had to get used to when I first saw it
Dude.. slow down with talking…Like a chipmunk
Talking to fast.
Just Put Lexus Emblem On it Already 🤑🤑.
