- I'm here at Replay Guitar Exchange in Tampa, FL, hanging out with Cliffhanger, and we're going to give you the rundown of both the American and Mexican Fender Acoustasonic Telecaster guitars!
***As I mention in the video, here's the FB link to Cliff's band, Quasi Mojo:

***For pricing and where to order, here's the link to Replay Guitar Exchange (they take online orders, too!): www.replayguit...
In this video, you'll get to hear both guitars with everywhere pickup positions (the American Acoustasonic has 5 positions whereas the Mexican version has 3).
Cliff also gives you a complete overview and specs of both guitars.
And at the end, I tell you which one I like best...you may be surprised!!
On that note, I'm really on the fence about getting one of these! As you know, I play live solo gigs around the Tampa and Brandon area here, and these guitars (both versions) play and sound amazing!
Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
Keep it Metal,
Jason

Jason, you inspire me! Thanks for your channel and your content. You speak to us "gym rat" guitarists! 💪🎸
Love that...gym rat guitarists! It goes together!
"heavy metal" indeed sir.... 🙏
I didn't know you had a channel. I was looking for one of these last week and I checked the website, but there were none sad to say. Now that I found the channel I'll check you out regularly.
🙏🏻🤘
Those guitars sound wonderful! Seems like a great choice for the primarily electric guitarist who also works solo performance venues (like you!!) Or any contemporary crossover artists that could benefit from hybrid tonality while maintaining the ease of playability. Great video showcasing 2 amazing guitars. Thanks again Jason!
Yeah, it's kinda tough to choose between the two!
Nice tones, great picking. I would love to hear a metal riff on one of those.
I was going to connect it to another amp but these things are really built more for the acoustic tones. That little Fishman amp sounded really nice!
I have the Godin just got the Mex it blows the Godin away. so good. the sustain alone is a huge improvement.
Yeah, I bet that thing plays nice!
Ya know, at first i didn't like those guitars but now......they are really growing on me.
I’ll admit they don’t have a cool look to them at all! Some even say they’re kinda ugly. But they play and sound amazing
Awesome doing a video with ya man!
Dude, we always have a blast! Gotta get you on the channel soon and maybe go over your live setup!
Good video. I'm wondering if people are actually playing these live at bars and shows given the whole Covid lockdown situation of the last two tears. My acoustasonic has sat in my closet for two years. Hoping to play live again soon!
Man, I live in FL and we have a lot more freedoms that it seems other states have. I've been playing solo gigs for over a year now and actually getting books a lot more, so my area is a great place for it!
Jason, you are obviously a very experienced gutar player so I'm surprised you haven't learned what the pickup positions are called.Anyway, thanks for a great video!
🙏 🤘
16:49. I would have been like, "Yes sir, please take both on the house. Here's a couple of amps and cabinets on the house as well. Take some DAW software. I just ask that you don't smash the guitar over my head on the way out."
They do have a lot of nice gear there!
Just pulled the trigger on the US model! Tried them both out, but for some reason the Mex. versions cut out whenever I did a bend (tried 2 diff. Mex). It'll arrive in a week, so excited!
That's good to know about the Mex versions!
Thanks man that was great as usual 🤘😎
🤘
Really you’re getting 10 2x5 positions in the American and 6 2x3 positions in the Mexican and all the tonalities blended in between.
Yeah the American version offers more options but I don't necessarily need or want a ton of options. I like to keep things simple...a few good ones will do the job
@@jasonstallworth I understand just didn’t hear mention that there’s two different guitar voicings plus the blending in between per each position regardless of American or Mexican.
Yeah, I thought the same thing watching the video. Just in case anybody is curious each position on the selector has two different options you can use and blend between them with one of the nobs. So the American has 10 different options plus blending and the Mexican has 6 different plus the blending options. Great playing Jason and thanks for the video.
@@usmcyounggun6879 that’s a lot of tone options!! 🤘
I have the US version.. looking to get another one as a back-up. I wish the US one has the battery instead of having to plug it in every night. I hate that! If the Mex only comes in that color/not sure I could get over that... not my color! I have 3 Takamines and swore by them for 30 years... Now I can't play anything else but the Acoustasonic.
I do love my Takamine G Series! I use that for my live solo acoustic show, which is about 2-3x a week. Yeah, I don't care for the whole battery thing there! I never made to jump to one of these guitars but have considered (and still going back and forth on it!)
Only if i can swich my volume for a volume with a wide sweep volume,it must sound better,if so can some one help me i have mim made, love it
Sri lanka has 1 acousticsonic guitar and i have that one 😀
🤘
Same stuff- Mexico made by Mexicans.
Usa - made by Mexicans
You are paying more for U.S. because they are forced to pay employees higher wages and their taxes.
Bottom line...same stuff
You are paying for the Label
Makes sense...I actually favored the one made in Mexico
