There will never be another album from start to finish like "Master Of Puppets". EVER!!!
100% agreed
the only song i might skip...sanitarium.the ONLY one i might skip,,,,,
I don't care what anybody says Master of Puppets is the number one heavy metal album from first opening note to last ending note ever made ever made ever made ever made.
That's for damn sure!!!!
Well some tool albums and ratm albums fit that category
It's one of their most underrated tracks. Buried in a legendary album. Nice react \m/ \m/
So good you’re doing the old stuff ... you’ll like Kill Em All
About Jimmy Swaggart Jim and Tammy Bakker were the televeangelists that James is talking about here but it also includes more modern ones like that evil old man who slaps his wife on air or the moron with his ever expanding jet airplane collection.
My favorite line in this is song - Send me money, send me green, heaven you will meet, make a contribution and you'll get a better seat. Song is about greedy TV evangelists.
Correct. You nailed it. James hetfield wrote it about them 💯 now James hetfield believes in a heaven. Not televangelist
The Televangelist... just another master of puppets.
Jim Baker and Jimmy Swaggart 🤢🤮

Classic icons of the era : The Two Jimmys of Jesus
@@jeffreymcrae3853 - Last night I saw a miracle man, on TV crying!
Those bass rifs by Cliff Burton are priceless and amazing!!! Miss that dude!
hands down, the most underrated and the best song from Master Of Puppets
As a metalhead (F) who has been listening to this album for nearly 30 years, seeing your joy at not only hearing this song for the first time but also getting the underlying message and seeing your excited enthusiasm for the music. That really made my day. You got a new subscriber Lilly.
I just found her page myself and i whole heartedly agree with you! Rock on Lilly, enjoy our music!🤘
totally dude! I feel the same way!
yeah me to, she made my day!
There truly isn't any "bad song" or least favorite song on this album.
exactly, that's what makes it my favourite album ever
Ride the lightning and Justice are the best guitar tones they ever had ❤❤ FIGHT ME !!! 😤😤🥵
Battery. Call me crazy, but it’s a bit to hyper and fast.
@@MaceDeMarco2010 You are crazy. That's the point, it's supposed to be a fast song.
@@TokusatsuGamingfan yeah.
Absolutely nailed the meaning of the song! Always been one of my favorites, but the whole album is a masterpiece. Cheers!
🤘
Bro i really love Lily's deductions , always on point 👌🏻 she get the messages 😊
1986 I was 15 years old, god (!) was I blown away from this album. But for me as an electronics technician, my favourite song is of course, Battery.
Great great song but master of puppets is the best song on the album
@@Shawn-mo6dh The hole album is a masterpiece and you can hear it from the first to the last song through and it is getting even better. This is very rare nowadays.
heard it on the school bus two guys plugged into one cassette player. Game changing album. class of 89.....
Master of Puppets is 6 months older than I am
Your insights on this Metallica songs are so thoughtful and are much appreciated - makes me see them from another perspective. Thank you!
Totally agree. She looks at the song as a piece of art, where every piece of it is there for a reason. Love it!
Most underrated track on Puppets. I have a feeling you'll also love the Orion instrumental.
I’m glad you get to experience them. Their first 3 albums, you won’t find a single song you won’t like.
Lilly Jane, please keep the metal reactions coming, even when you run out of Metallica. Your reaction videos are the only ones I enjoy anymore. They are one of the few things that help me get through the day anymore. I get so happy when i see a new upload. You listen to the music and can pay attention and hear the lyrics, and your honesty gives you credibility that every reaction is genuine. Your enthusiastic and positive presentation is something I admire and look up to, and i can it's genuine too. More metal reactions please. You're awesome.
Well said, I agree! So many reaction videos seem disingenuine, with a strong focus on solely getting more attention put on the reactors themselves, almost to the point of narcissism. Lilly Jane, however, your videos don't exude any of that "look at me" vibe I get from others. Thanks for posting!
This song always stuck out for me, from the first time i heard the album in 86. still 🔥🔥 today.
Your expressions of appreciation on every note is absolutely refreshing (exactly the way I feel,as one should). Thank you for posting 😎❤🤙🎶 Rock On!
Not possible. I don’t have a least favorite on this record. It’s iconic beginning to end.
I bought that record the day it came out and have heard that song at least a thousand times but never considered your interpretation of the music. I think you absolutely nailed it and it makes me like the song more. Great job.
It was about Jim amd Tammy Fae Baker, tv crooks.
Can’t wait to see your reaction to “The Thing That Should Not Be”!
She already reacted to the live version of that song recently.
@@TokusatsuGamingfan I totally forgot about that. I actually watched that one too.
She should’ve listened to the studio version. That one is thrashy-er.
One of my favorite songs. I love playing this song on the drums
i love how your channel is growing. Eminem, Megadeth and Metallica are drawing a crowd. Good taste in music and great reference to Superstore!
When I hear this song the first thing that comes to mind is Joel Olsten every time lol
Great insight about the march! I you ever want to do The Four Horsemen, please pick this live version: Live Shit: Binge & Purge, San Diego '92. Lars does something epic and the whole band reaches the epitome of Metal.
Imagine how cool & powerful this was in 86 as 16 year old! Love yaz!
Ur ok this whole album from start to finish is awesome!
Love that you interpret the instruments as well as the lyrics, great job.
James has a long standing frustration and regret when it comes to blind faith of religion. The animosity and anger is really potent throughout this track.
It's a topic he broaches in a lot of their songs: Unforgiven, God That Failed are a couple others.
I've always thought of this song as being directed at TV evangelists, more than religion broadly. This seems especially true when you consider the second verse with the "Taken by his glamor" and "fame, fame . . . stinking drunk with power" lines.
You're correct, the inspiration came from watching late night televangelists
You’re right about this being about tele evangelists, but they have other songs that question religion as well.
1:33 Absolutely Love This Chugga..Chugga Palm Muted Guitar Riff Right Here!!..
As It Fades & Let’s The Bass Come In W/That Melodic Line…Than Repeats!!..KILLER!!
You are proper bringing back memories for me. Especially my teenage years. Haven't listened to this in so long.
This song is fucking glorious.
Unknown I'm probably going crazy on the comments. But you're my favorite reactor and I really want you to hear some of hopsin. I recommend the 1st video you watch is one of his more recent ones which is alone with me. He is so Focused on his work that sometimes he will take months or even a year off just to write and produce a song that he deems worthy. I am sorry if some of my spelling or wording is off I am visually impaired.
Seen all reactions your reactions :) i dont know how i missed my 3 metallica favorite song ever :) as a fun fact a few years ago i was recording a song on studio with some friends and we had a game that was - Imagine you are on a desert island and you can only take one music album to listen to my instant answer was "Master of Puppets" not because it has my favorite and 3 favorite metallica song but because i never felft borred listening to this album !!
On the next reaction it would be cool to see Eye of the Beholder from …And Justice for All album
Yeah that's a good song, relevant today as well.
She will get to it soon after she's done with this album.
Great reaction thanks 🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷👌🇨🇷
My favorite song on the album
these fkn Guys delivered exactly what I needed, and apperently what millions of others needed too!
This is my favorite track on the album🤘
Your absolutely right
Damage Inc. My favorite
But Masters of Puppets is an entire masterpiece.
Every song is good.
Exception The Thing That Should Not Be
But that's just my opinion.
She has to react to Damage inc.
I love how you make me think differently about a song I’ve listened to for 30 years. Good sh!t
Use to rip on my skateboard to this album. My Skate Crew and I had some fun awesome times back then ❤
I really Love Your Reactions to my Favorite Bands especially this Album 💿
This song reminds me of Jim and Tammy Baker. Televangelists.
Greatest album ever made (all songs are on fire)
Only just realised how ride the lightening the solo in leper Messiah is and I've only been listening to it for over 20 years 😂. Amazing reaction as ever, thanks for your always interested and interesting reactions.
Leper Messiah is one of the most under-appreciated Metallica songs. So very heavy.
My least favorite song on the Master of Puppets record is probably The Thing That Should Not Be or Welcome Home (Sanitarium), but I love both of those songs. Orion and Damage Inc. are next and I'm here for it.
Have a great day whoever sees this!
Sanitarium is much better than thing that should not be. I hardly ever listen to that song
well then I guess that settles that :)
I agree 100% on the whole thing. Though, on their Seattle Live concert in 89, those two songs are amongst my favorite. James' power in his vocals take both songs to another level.
Leper Messiah has one of the best middle jam sections of any of their songs, IMO.
A truly perfect album.
@@ktgo4424
Ohh absolutely. Sanitarium live incredible and The Thing That Should Not Be is incredibly heavy live. Metallica playing live just makes everything better. More power, adrenaline, energy, and all of that.
This one is one of my favorites of theirs.
Fun Fact it’s one of James’ favorites by him the legend
Thinking this song has almost 40 years … omg and it still sounds fresh and powerful
5:55 I Actually 😢 Teared Up Watching U Totally Riff Out 2 This Song!! As I Did Back In 1986!! This Band Drove Me 2 Learning How 2 Play Guitar..Write/Record My Own Music
2 This Day!! Thank’s Metallica 4 Influencing Me 2 Never Put The Guitar & Pen Down..
This Has Kept Me Driven 2 Write/Play Music 2 Get Things Off My Chest & Most Importantly..Has Got Me Through This Circus Tent..We Call Life!!
I saw an interview with Jaymez that discussed this song , it is about televengelists wanting money
One of my favorite Metallica songs...nice reaction! 🤘😎
How many riffs? Genius song from a genius group.
This Album is Flawless Lilly no bad songs at all
Yes I just subscribed love your channel
ORION is one of the greatest songs ever!! I have no least favorite
GEN X appreciate someone in your generation understanding how Metallica and others from 80s was putting up with. Keep up the awesome soul searching in 80s heavy metal....
Great reaction. You've got one more...😎👍
The message song dovetails well with Land of Confusion by Genesis speaking to the 80's culture in America.
This entire album is awesome, but Orion is really good too
If you like this kind of thematic you should check "Send me your money" from Suicidal Tendencies (An often overlooked band which is incidentaly also one of the previous bands of Metallica's current bassist Robert Trujillo)
Once you work your way to the Black Album, you will find a song that book-ends perfectly with this song called "Holier Than Thou". Awesome song.
Love watching these uploads of yours. Keep 'em coming!
I like the fact that the title of this song came from a phrase From David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust
Super store was my favorite 😂 I really enjoy how you inserted the clip to reference what you were saying. Keep up the amazing work! More Metallica 🤘🏼
Hope you’re having a amazing day
Ride the lightning and master of puppets their 2 Best Albums.
Bow to the Leper MESSSSSIIIIIAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Hopsin is known as being the king of the underground, he has never been pushed by any mainstream media. But his music is so popular that he built up a fan base of millions upon millions to the point where his videos receive that many views. If you were to react to his ill mind of hopson videos please start with fperiod he is known for his ability to tell stories, and there's more to him than just his ill minds as well.
Suicidal Tendencies - Send Me Your Money, is another really great tune about the super preachers. Also happens to be Robert Trujillo's old band. If you haven't heard it you'd probably dig it.
Cannot await your reactions to “Orion” and especially “ Damage Inc.” 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
Given the pot leafs you should definitely check out the band Sleep especially their album Holy Mountain
Killer song! Great reaction! I literally love every track on this album. But, I will say that I often skip Master of Puppets just because I've heard it way more than the others via radio over many years. Also, I use to have the album on repeat forever, along with Justice, and a couple of Iron Maiden albums. Can't wait for your reaction on the next track of this album, Orion.
Yeah I’m not a fan of the title song Master of puppets because I heard it way too many times, And then stranger things definitely ruined the song for me IMO.
Love your videos Lilly James xxx
People don’t realize that so many of the songs on this album fall into the title track “Master of Puppets!” The title song is about cocaine and how when you are on drugs you are the puppet and the drug controls your life. The Thing That Should Not Be is about cults and how when you are in a cult, the leader is the master and you become the puppet that follows. Disposable Heros is about the military and how you follow orders and fight to die……like a puppet. Leper Mesiah is about Televangelist and how their followers are all just puppets. Even “Battery” has puppet overtones. “Pounding out aggression turns into obsession. Can not stop the battery!” Sanitarium, the crazy’s are the puppets following the masters rules.
🔥woww u really listening n genuinely get it. we must clone a couple million of u n realese to the worl. never change ur solid✊🏽
A MASTERPIECE ALBUM!!!!💕🙏👊A ICON BAND HELLO!!!
You should listen to that was just your life by Metallica and Grinch by Dax 2020.
Luv ya girl keep rawk In
This song is awesome 😝🤘
I'm 27..
Metallica takes me back to like 2008 to 2015... banger ass songs thou
Least favourite has to be The Thing That Should Not Be even though it's still a great song, it's just that every other song is a masterpiece.
Jane Gang represent !!!!
I was in 5th grade when I was listening to this
Goddamnit i forgot how good this song is
Don't have a least favorite song on this album...loved it start to finish...
this is easy my favorite song from this album... "bow to leper messiah" !! remember when I got this Album and Leper was so Original (what I have heard before) learned it on guitar, the breakdown part is fucking mind blowing heavy
lml (-_-) lml
I wrote it once, I write it again, " put guitar solos in any song, it will make the song better "
And from england
My personal favorite song off this album, until I grew to appreciate the greatness that is Orion.
Best album Metallica ever put out. Hands down.
10:18 Who get frustrated? Doesn't matter because they're irrelevant..
Doesn't change the fact that this gal is adorable..
Master of Puppets, Reign In Blood, best thrash albums ever
Still hoping you will open your mind and you will react to the diamonds of European Metal. Bands great in Europe and the rest of the World, quite unknown in the USA. 😉
For exmple:
Arch Enemy "Deceivers" (Death Metal)
Blind Guardian "Somewhere far Beyond" (Power Metal)
Sabaton " The war to end all wars" (Power Metal)
Epica "Omega Alive" (Symphonic Metal)
Nightwish "Endless forms most beautiful" (Symphonic Metal) with the goddess and valkyrie of Metal music Floor Jansen
... and soooo much more.
Best would be a reaction to their live performances. They are insane.
And yes "Master of puppets" is a classic masterpiece. But the "Black Album" was the last great one from Metallica.
Imagine hearing this on some Kenwood 6x9’s when you were 15, in the 80’s! Going to the pier to buy some pot.
@Lilly Jane Reacts awesome! Metallica brought me here. Love the Metal Reactions 🤘. When you're done with The Master Album please check out "Dyers Eve". James lyrics to this song 🔥🤘. Bring on 100k 📌
Kirks solo sounds like it's going in a circle. Like a downward spiral moving faster and faster.
Anesthesia (pulling teeth) would be awesome to react to, the live version is one of the most amazing solos I've ever heard
Check out Suicidal Tendencies...."Send me your Money"off the Light ,Camera ,Revolution album. One the the most underrated of all time....Any Testament....
