When scraping the gasket off the front of the block....do not let the pieces fall into the oil pan....they will plug up the oil pump screen and cause a big problem

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"

Good video. I need to change timing cover and harmonic balancer and wasn't sure if it could be done, while the engine is in the truck. Did you remove the radiator or just the fan and shroud?

Just wondering what year the motor is, my son in law bought a 1971 302 from a Maverick. but it was the block and heads only.
We need to get a cam eccentric, i was looking on summit and they have 2 piece and one piece. Just wondering what i need to get. It will be carbureted.

That gasket looks brand new. Was it leaking or something? Did you muff the job up?

It was a junkyard find, I just bought a gasket kit and freshened them all up most were new but got replaced anyhow.

Is it okay to re-tighten the water pump and timing chain hardware after a day of driving?
It looks like I have a very very small coolant leak. But could possibly be coming from water neck by thermostat

That part is cheaper than labor cleaning. And without a parts cleaner? Labor cash wasted in my opinion. Nice video though. Thank you
