- You're airborne! Now what?
In this video Tyler will show you how to climb to cruise in an airliner. Using a constant climb power setting, your desired airspeed is maintained solely by using continuously adjusted pitch and vertical speed. You'll learn to master the initial climbout, acceleration, step climbs and more! Proper climbs in an airliner will save you fuel, extend the range of your aircraft, and adds a new layer of realism to your Infinite Flight Experience!

Imagine, where your position of your plane or the departure gate has some details that says, "Gate # is for 787, etc; Air France, etc", or even "Gate # is for 777-300, etc; Emirates, etc".
*That would've been so cool and realistic too*
It would cool especially for the big airports like LHR and JFK to tell you which terminals serve which airliners at the very least. LHR Terminal 5 - BA, Iberia.
It’s now no longer a dream!
please do a descending tutorial :)
Coming soon! -TJ
it took me a whole year to learn how to decend in time for an arrival so i dont have to nose dive on approach lol
If youre cruising at 32000ft, take the 32( or any respective number) and times 4, which will be 32x4, answer will be 128. Take this number as your distance to destination. When your display reads 128nm to destination, start decending at -1600ftm, this is the optimal decent
Infinite Flight I think what u meant to say was - soon™️
You guys can watch “how pilots know when to descend” video by Capt Joe. It is clear as water. I apply his explanations on my flights on IF (sometimes it goes better than others but it does its job.
In short, this is what he says:
Divide your altitude in 3 (get rid of last two zeros). Ej: 27000 ft = 270/3= 90 NM. This is the minimum distance you should start your descend to lose your altitude.
Now, take your airspeed (no ground speed) and rest 200 (which is the speed at what you want begin your final approach). This outcome, will tell you how many NM you should have to reduce your speed. ej: if your speed is 320 kts, then 320-200=120. Now, 1 NM per 10 knots. It means that 120/10=12. In this example, it means we should then add 12 NM to 90, equals 102.
Wind: add 1 NM per each 10 knots of tailwind or rest 1 NM per each 10 knots of headwind.
Vertical speed: start your descend at a roughly 3 degrees angle (I think is somewhere 3000 ft per minute), then pitch up a bit and when you’re established-on localiser (if ILS approach) your VS is five times your ground speed. Ej: if your GS is 200 kts, then your rate of descend is 1000 ft/min.
There you go. Check capt Joe’s video, he explains way much better than me.
Stunning tutorial Tyler, as always! 🙌 🔥
Will definitely help a ton of pilots across the Infinite Flight skies 🌌 ✈️

Hi hi hi
Wow, so this whole time I've been doing my takeoffs kinda wrong. I've always known not to use too much throttle, so I would takeoff with around 91%-95% throttle...I didn't know the N1 was higher than that.
UPDATE: Just started a flight with an A321...that was BY FAR the best/most realistic takeoff and climb-out I've EVER DONE! So happy I watched this video, thank you!

omg imagine 727 in if
The 787 definitely needs the same treatment as the 777. The 789 was my primary bird of choice until the 772 update. The engine sounds sold me first. Then everything else. I would love a cabin view as well, especially with wide bodies and it would be cool to see how well other pilots are by spawning into random flights during TO and landings or the full flight. The 787 is the most flown plane besides the 777 on IF. I'm glad we got the A350 too but the engine sounds on the 772 are insane! Til then she'll be my primary bird and I'll alternate with the 787 once it's reworked. I even like the improved flaps, more realistic (just imagine how it'll sound on the 787!)
Another nice tutorial, great job Tyler!

Hey Infinite Flight Crew! I had a suggestion for a future update. I would very much appreciate it if the 747 Dreamlifter could be added to this wonderful flight simulator. I feel by adding this aircraft the simulator would have more attention. I understand that creating an aircraft with the opening tail would require sophisticated programming that would take a while. I look forward to potentially seeing this aircraft in the future. Thank you for reading this!
Nice job this will help us so much!
Thanks Tyler, will be renewing my subscription later today and will be flying realistic routes with the a350 😀 stay safe 🤙🏻

@@infiniteflight Thanks from 🇵🇹
I really needed this, thanks devs!!
Nice Job!
Thank you so much! This helped me a lot
Another thing that really helps is to get good with turning onto the *center* of the runway. Just learn where your particular plane likes to be when you start to turn. I fly the 757 and DC-10 mostly and they like to start turning just as the side of a 150’ wide runway gets to the bottom of my HUD screen…a littttlllle further for the DC-10. I can’t tell you the number of people I see on the servers who line up, turn, line up, turn, turn, line up, turn. It’s really easy to get that sorted out…if I can do it, you certainly can.
Thank you Tyler, very cool!
Nice Job! This will definitely help those that need it :)
Could please add clouds in your next update, it would be great 👍🏼
Working on it! -TJ
Thanks for another great tutorial! 👍
My pleasure! -TJ
This is a very nice and helpful vid thanks for it.And is almost everything same with the 737 right?
Thanks for watching! The same principles apply to almost all airliners. Of course you can set a fixed VS and speed during your climb, however we recommend the method shown in the video to maximize the range, efficiency, and performance of your aircraft! -TJ
What about a descent tutorial?
TIP - If you download IF Assistant (cost about .99 I think) it can help you calculate V1, Rotation, and V2 Speeds. This app can also help you with various other things.
Nice vid. This really helps me a lot. And I'm about to buy a pro probably tommorow since quarantined hehehe

I think i want this game to have a terminal
I’m only grade to this helps me so much I can to better landings than all the grade 4s
It would be a lot convenient if you add N1 limit and lvl chg so we don’t have to constantly change the v/s to maintain the thrust setting.
Thank you so much! Do you think you can make pro free by 2024?!
I was watching this as well as flying and 757 from lax to msp

It would be great to have FLC!
What I do when I takeoff:
Thrust 100%, Flaps 15 or 1+F when Airbus I am flying. Pitch: Steep pitch until I stall
Try adding buildings to the airport!
Can you explain how to calculate v1, vr, and v2 speeds?
This is entirely dependent on weight, temperature, and other configurations. Check out the links in the description for a few tools that may help generate an appropriate V1 speed for you! -TJ

Can airplanes fly into the space at the Exosphere altitude?
Nope they can't, SR-71 was the plane that flew the highest (90.000 feet).
Hello infinite flight simulator, this is a message by your airplane fan! Please update the graphics, also add the A330, 767, 707, and A220.

Please add to the game buildings, airports end clouds
Takeoff 80 to 90% of thrust
Climbing 4k VS
Cruise speed M 0.77
Change flaps etc.. and your good.
And that's basically it.
TJ, Will there be a KC-135?
Aloha, Hawaiian 552
Please do a descent tutorial
Ive been using this sim for 2 years and didnt know 15 degrees was the initial climb rate. Ive always thought it was 10.
I only use 70-80% of thrusth when taking off in every aircraft.
That's kinda low tbh
The only aircraft that I can takeoff with about 75% is the 757 because it's way overpowered
Anywhere from 85 to 95N1 would be realistic depending on atmospheric conditions, weight and runway length
I use full thrust just to get out ASAP
I think they should add the proper airbus throttle to do flex take off
One of the sentences in the video is pitch for 15' nose-up Attitude, which menu or interface can you view?
nice
I couldn't understand how to calculate V speeds. Not mentioned in the description as stated on my end.
Thank you infinite flight developers for your hard work. Any new about the new B777 update??
Still hard at work and it's in beta testing! -TJ
@@infiniteflight Good luck guys hope you are doing well 💪
EGLL, LAX, SFO, MIA and JFK are not the only airports in the game, people!
How do you know what altitude is best for your aircrafts weight at that given time without going to high and losing control?
Great video. Thanks for the tip. Can you help me with the CRJ 200 because I am having a hard time landing. Liked and subscribed
Absolutely! We may add profile tutorials for individual aircraft. The CRJ 200 is especially unique because it does not have slats. The final approach is often slightly nose down! Also because of the low wing design the CRJ series does have a great bit of ground effect. Flaring later than you'd think, keeping it smooth and gradual will help you grease the landing every time! Cheers -TJ
Thanks for the tip. My latest video is holding possibly the smoothest landing on infinite flight
I usually go to m.86 to .87 and for heavy aircraft m.89,
Don't forget to fix the wrong loading data for B77F thank you

Hey I would like to know why every time I try to land or takeoff I turn the second I leave the ground
