Hey Marco I can tell you from personal experience that having the 2LT package is the way to go.
My girlfriend and I have traveled in her 2014 Corvette stingray many thousands of miles and having the GT cooled seats makes a huge difference on a long trip especially when we travel from New Mexico into Texas.
Not to mention you get an upgraded Bose stereo system with a sub woofer that is built into the back.
All those added creature comfort's make a huge difference on a trip.
So inclusion when it comes to purchasing a brand new Corvette check off the 2LT package for the standard Stingray or Grand sport & the 2LZ for the ZO6.
Yeah plus the Heads Up Display. Oh well, next time!

I'm surprised that your Z51 has a better ride than the M2.
I have a new 2017 base Stingray so the ride is even more comfortable than the Z51.

I'm the opposite, I like the Corvette because it DOESN'T have back seats...it's a sports car, not a car that shares its chasis with a sedan like the BMW.

Yeah came to my senses and spec'd the competition seats and stage 2 aero.
Glad Greg made the same e-brake mistake I made - such a dumb design flaw putting one on a sports car. Where was my invite?!?!

Funny as this is backwards from what I’m doing. I had a 17 C7 GS and loved some things about it but didn’t care for others. Coming from M3s and other euros the build quality just isn’t anywhere near the same. From the horrible glue smell to the cheap plastic and bargain store carpet. Not to mention the M7 breaking at 2,000 miles. I did love the power and handling which was bonkers good. Ultimately I had to sell the Vette but for a different reason entirely. I’m 6’3 and was never comfortable in it. Felt very cramped and my head actually hit the bar where the targa top is. A wreck would of been my death probably. Anyways I’m looking at getting a M2 now. Smaller more nimble car. Better visibility and better in the mountains of NC which is near where I live. I will miss the exhaust and that always there torque tho.

Gregory Pietro I hope so. I loved my e92 M3 up there but always wished it was smaller had more torque and wasn’t so heavy. Which is exactly what the M2 is now lol
I had 9 BMW's. Now I have 2019 Grand Sport. Bmw will not see me again for a looong time..

Great vid. Carguy11 how is the idle quality at a stop light in your C7? I just picked up a 17 C7. Has 32,000 miles. Liking it so far. The motor vibes are transmitted fairly heavily into the cabin though.
Thanks! Yes that is normal due to the cam used in LT1.
I also thought something was wrong with mine but after looking around I realized it was normal. It had a bit of a lopey idle cause of the cam… kinda cool tho! Apparently GM did that by design since most Corvette owners were used to the old muscle car vibes from the 60s and 70s. Those cars were super choppy at idle

Corvette tires are ZERO PRESSURE run flat and I think the BMW aren't.

Yeah, I went from not being sure I was going to like the Vette over the M2, to now having my local dealer plan for a early 2018 delivery! So Grand Sport or Z06? I'm thinking Z06.
