I have lived in both. White lake for 4 years and Waterford for 3 years, and I prefer Waterford. It's much more diverse and seems to be closer to everything, except nature.

White Lake cops are always watching. Never been pulled over before or after living in White Lake for the 4ish years I lived there 😅

If you live in one you're going to use the other township. Police in both places are a bother. Waterford likes to run traps along M-59 and White Lake likes to hide in low traffic low speed zones. Both townships are poor stewards of tax payers dollars but where isn't that true these days? If I'm choosing I want the White Lake zip code. Waterford borders Ponticrack, is busier, and has worse roads with all the same services available. It's probably slightly cheaper in Waterford but for a reason.
