That's because they're selling faster than the shop can make them. Each one is custom made to order. Right now, it's about 12 months from the time you put down a deposit until the time you get your instrument.
If you ask me as owner of Jackson Rhoads guitar can say that this V shape violin looks better then many V shape guitars.
True, the Viper looks amazing, and another point is that, while the flying V guitars are pretty cool looking, they're often not as ergonomic as, say, Stratocasters, whereas the Viper is arguably *more* ergonomic than many other violin models. Mark Wood did an incredible job with the design. :)

The Vipers start at about $2,400. Extended range, frets, pickup upgrade and custom finishes add to the price.
huh that is really expensive, looks like ill need to wait mass production and popularity of this instrument to get cheaper.

Are diferent pickups?
No, all are using Barbera Hybrid pickups. Just different techniques, amps, effects, EQ all of which go into tone.

Yes, it is a piezoelectric pickup. The pickup model is the Barbera Hybrid, which integrates separate piezo transducers for each string.

The Signature Edition Mark Wood Viper is a 5-string fretted with purple quilted maple exotic top, black hardware and a Barbera Hybrid pickup. That would be $2,792. As a special order through our website you would pay 50% down and then a 50% final payment + shipping when the Viper is completed.
Why the heck are these old guys keeping the long hair and CONSTANLY slinging their heads back and shaking their head back and forth as if it's actually in their eyes?
