In my humble opinion, if she would have retired from show business like she wanted to, she might still be alive today.

I agree with you, partially. I think what really broke her was the last tour. Just recording albums and doing some appearances on tv would have been fine, and she could have done it that way. But, since the way the industry makes money is no longer in record sales but most of the revenue comes from tours, she was pushed out there way too soon. I blame Clive Davis for that, he should have known better. Her voice wasn't ready for a grueling tour schedule. You could see it even in her live performances even though she sang well, her voice had suffered and it was hard to picture her doing a big tour and sing every night, especially songs in her catalogue that demand that incredible range. I saw her last tour live in Helsinki and while she sang many singers under the table that night and it was a beautiful moment I will cherish forever, everyone could tell she was struggling and we held our breath at the high parts we knew she had to sing. We carried her through with love and I have really never been in a show where it was that tangible. The love and compassion and appreciation, not just for the music but for surviving through all that she did. So in my mind, because the issues she had on tour were so widely publicized and her voice was there and then not there again... I think that in the end having to endure that, both personally and publicly, it broke her spirit. It's a sad fact that had she just kept recording music and not gone on that tour, she might still be here.

The back up singers had to keep covering for her she was constantly going back and forth to a table she had on stage to reapply make up and drink from a bottle. The only time she actually really sang was the belting part of I Will Always Love You it was like she put all of her energy into one minute of performance. @@annab8189 Yea, but that's just messy tabloid journalism. His intentions were to try and make her look bad. True, she displayed some questionable behavior at times but for him to seek it out and add bits/pieces to his interview was in poor taste. She was human, we ALL make mistakes. No one is perfect and to have that expectation of someone is both unfair/ unrealistic.

Fabulous. I remember that Whitney Houston's tour middle 1980s was very successful. Whitney's native Australian ancestors aren't known about in the American press. I want to ask for continuing support for the greatest woman Whitney Houston. After filming and recording TBG project Whitney Houston is human and wanted to retire from public performances. God and gentle pursuasion didn't let Whitney quit. An epic historical based film series is in development. Watch this telecom company for updates about the film series release. Native heritage inspires me to keep moving forward in the right direction with God with love forever Whitney Houston 💕💕💕

Bobby Brown is still alive, yet Whitney and Bobby-Christina are gone still surprises me . But let’s not forget Whitney’s brother introduced and got her hooked on drugs, not Bobby Brown.. Her mother/family/the church was a catalyst for her habit…. And poor Bobby-Christina had no one after her mom…. Bobby moved on with his new family and life, she knew her moms side of the family and the church weren’t 💩, the child didn’t stand a chance.
