I’m happy I found your tutorial- I followed along (slower cuz I don’t have needles or anything 🤣) and I swapped the black beads for a transparent purple. i made one of these last night! it was tricky (especially bc my cord was too big to fit through a needle so i had to do it by hand) but so much fun omg. i didn't have black beads so i used glittery purple ones for the eyes and it looks so cool! i think i'm gonna put it on a necklace with letter beads on either side spelling out "alien boy" like the oliver tree song :3

I put tbis in the SLOWEST option and still confusing, idk if its just me cuz i have ASD(Autism Spectrum disorder) and it might be me. Edit: I threw it across the room, this is WAYYY to confusing, im screaming so much my mom is telling me to stop. Edit 2:Cut it.
This is a more advanced tutorial. I would try beginner tutorials until you build up your skills. This takes patience and practice. Be kind with yourself as you learn a new skill. You can do it!

I don't measure my string also your length will vary depending on the type you are using. Non stretch or elastic string. Kandi is a free style craft. Get in the groove and create!

I free style my kandi and don't usually give measurements. Also It depends on the type of string you use. Use your best judgement you can always tie on more if you run out.
Kandi Toybox beaded tutorials I use the stretchy kind that’s kinda slippy, I’m scared if I tie it everything will fall out- but! I did find a solution and I’m still going so hooray! :)
These style tutorials are not for beginners. This is more advanced. Check out my beginners playlist once you get more comfortable trying other tutorials come back to this one. This is a skill set that takes practice.

Sounds cute! I love your idea! Get some thinner string for future projects. 1mm -1.5mm works best!

Yes you don't have to use one. It's so the ends of the string don't fray.

I would recommend starting with 2 feet of string. The length depends on the type of string you are using. It can vary a lot.

No worries tie more on or start over with a larger amount. I always add more if needed.

I would tie some on to the string you are working with. Later you will need the other piece to finish the top part.
