MDMA legal medicinally? The future is now

    • @ShawnJonesHellion

you kids are nutty. No "legal" drug is ran by the dope dealing doctors. The terrorist govt makes it harder to obtain when they make it prescription only.
I have to use test drugs liek kratom for pain cause the dope dealing doctors only give me non working test drugs for pain

Shawn Jones Zu, Kratom has been used in Asia for THOUSANDS of years. MDMA is even newer than that.

Kratom isn't a test drug, stop making it out to be some research chemical or something.

yeah, sorry but all these drugs third worlders use, they have no clue what they do. they are called third world for a reason. and tis not cause they are some advanced scientific minds

@@ShawnJonesHellion They're called third world because they are neutral countries not because of their lack scientific advancement. Odd that people now consider third world countries as just underdeveloped countries.

3 years ago when I was still in the military, I told a "buddy" of mine who had been through some shit in Afghanistan that he could easily get rid of his PTSD by doing doing an MDMA therapy session. I told him how there were actual legal trials going on and that most people were completely cured by the first 2 sessions. He proceeded to tell me that he would get the cuffs in his truck if I kept on talking to him about this substance (he's a cop). I am no longer his buddy. And yes I did tell him off for his asshole response.
I just felt bad for him the more time passed though.

Im sorry that you were raised to be such a spastic degenerate that's capable of coming up with some shit like that. My point was that a lot of people think and behave the way they do, without questioning why they do it, because it is the way they were raised; thats a fact. Of course there are exceptions, but I wouldn't expect you to understand that. You're only another example of the people I was talking about anyway. Some peoples kids man..

"Hey we're proving that this relatively benign drug MDMA is one of the best PTSD treatments ever documented by humans!"
"Great! Let's make sure you can only get it in therapy sessions after you've tried every single pharmaceutical drug, plenty of which are much more harmful than MDMA"
You could successfully argue that this is a barrier of entry to MDMA treatment designed specifically to ensure pharmaceutical profits come first.

I've been diagnosed with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. It all started in 2011. Since 2015 to this year, spent 8 and a half months in hospital being monitored closely with suicidal ideation. I've heard about MDMA being able to help heal people. I live in the UK, however. I hope people who suffer similar to me find hope through the treatment.. Constant changing meds for 2 years and my quetiapine and promethazine doesn't help.

I hope you do another video about Ketamine. I've had two medically supervised Ketamine iv infusions (which are REALLY trippy) here in the US and the doctor sends me a script to send off to a compounding pharmacy for a nasal spray for upkeep to take three times a week or even to use as needed. The month supply of spray is around $40-$50 and the infusions were close to $1000 each. It's been the best thing for my PTSD, major depression, and anxiety/panic symptoms. I don't drive, so I don't have to worry about being numbed out on the spray while driving - plus the slight "high" effect from the spray wears off quickly after about half an hour for me and not nearly as remotely trippy as an iv infusion -just feel kind of numb and slightly drunkish, maybe start to hear a weird flangey sound in the background. It works great for a crisis, because I tend to self harm and think suicidally. It gives me an after effect of improved motivation and helps me think more positive and logically front-brained. It also really helps curb the suicidal or self harm thoughts. It's also helped some chronic pain disorders that I deal with. I wonder how Ketamine differs from the MDMA treatment. Ketamine, as far as I know, has a higher safety profile, but I don't know enough about MDMA or E. I would think that it would interact and be potentially dangerous for those already taking SSRIs. I'm really glad to see these substances less demonized and people understanding the actual medicinal properties of them when used correctly and with proper education.

Most of the mainstream recreational drugs have medical uses.
Cannabis: Relieves pain, helps anxiety, depression, ADHD, sleep disorders, increases appetite, contains anticarcinogens and helps with Parkinsons (and possibly epilepsy and seizures in general). It promotes relaxation which aids in healing and muscle growth, etc. Acts on cannabinoid receptors mimicking endocannabinoids.
Heroin (diamorphine): Used in hospitals as a pain killer. Patients do not become addicted when used in this setting. Like morphine it acts on opioid receptors mimicking endorphins.
Ketamine: Used as a sedative and general anesthetic.
Psilocybin/psilocin/"magic mushrooms": Helps with depression and PTSD. Changes outlook on life.
LSD: Helps with cluster headaches and depression. Helps with ADHD in microdoses.
Methamphetamine (desoxyn): Treats ADHD. Appetite suppressant. Same mechanism as amphetamine.
    Alcohol: Disinfectant.
Nicotine: Appetite suppressant. Increases GABA. Probably helps with focus and relaxation.
Caffeine: Increases focus. Slightly alleviates symptoms of ADHD.
Cocaine: Once used as a topical anesthetic. SNDRI.
MDMA: Helps with PTSD and changes outlook on life.
That's all I can think of at the moment.

What a coincidence. Yesterday I presented a study from Mithoefer et al. at my psychiatry (I work as a psychologist with people who have addiction and PTSD) and talked about the legalization in 2021. My colleagues were quite sceptical but there was also some openminded feedback. I think the skeptical physicians and the enthusiastic psychedelic researcher will someday meet somewhere in between so that we can slowly make good use of psychedelics and empathogens in therapy

MDMA is also a great form of treatment for CRPS/RSD. I have been using it for some time now, as a type 2, stage 3 CRPS sufferer and found the neuropathy and pain associated with it falls away, giving me the ability to have more movement in my body and mind. I hope it isn't just legalised for one illness and not the rest, as it can help with a number of issues.

For any USA viewers that shop on amazon, they have a program I found out about recently called amazon smile. It lets you choose a charity (MAPS is one of the available options) and a portion of your purchase goes to the charity, but costs you nothing extra. Hopefully they extend the program to the Uk so I can take advantage of this, but if you are in the US and use amazon at all then you can make a contribution to the cause.

Had a recreational dose of 120mg MDMA. I had no come down or crash. I tested it myself with Marquis and Froehde reagents to be safe. My Psoriatic Arthritis went into remission. Within 48 hours all my joint symptoms were gone; Swelling gone, pain gone. Within four days my psoriasis patches had lost all skin layers and was down to the red skin. I've also read a study where the writer after 3 recreational doses spaced apart in one week (not advisable) his arthritis had stopped and his swelling gone. This lasted over a decade then he had a single flare up which went away after a single recreational dose of MDMA and he hasn't had a flare up since. We really really need to be putting more research into psychedelics for medicinal purposes at least which I know we're now working on but work faster dam it.

Another thing you should really look at where I'd like to see on your channel is doing a Ketamine video documenting the experience. I also have a group called "Team 2020: A Psilocybin Future" where I'm encouraging more states to get on board! Psilocybin is medicine and it needs to be respected. This is probably the best way to do it. Long term mdma use is neurotoxic in medium to high doses and causes amphetamine hormesis in very low doses. Mdma should never be dispensed as a prescription drug to be taken home. It has to be done in a very specific way to be safe (a lowish medium dose no more often than once every three months, with na-r-ala and l-carnitine).

mdma is supposed to be helping people with tinnitus, research had begun a few years back, its only til i heard this that i actually remembered that it did! my first ecstasy pill i broke down infront of my friends because it chaned the clarity of my hearing, i could hear things i couldn't hear before because the ringing is so loud in my head and the pill took most if not all of the noise away..
i also have another ear/hearing problem called hyperacusis, whereby things get distorted sometimes. i also have what ive noticed people call, visual snow and ive had these problems for as long as i can remember.
i will be wanting to experiment with mdma (pos lsd) and microdosing in the near future, it will be tested. i will share my knowledge with other tinnitus sufferers.

MDMA has waaay more physical sides and after effects than LSD for me. LSD is life.

² ƒathomɀ Agreed, but this is directed specifically to help with a certain group of psychological issues through therapy. LSD's benefits are very different, they help us realise issues that aren't known to us, things which aren't always considered issues either. LSD should be made legal to aid a healing of the global mindset, I don't think it would be well used for aiding acute mental health issues

agree.. I don't think people with mental illness should be using ANY psychedelics unless under extreme supervision.

I took LSD when I was depressed to the point of having daily suicidal thoughts and it completely destroyed my depression. MAPS are doing research on LSD (and various other psychedelics) aswell as MDMA for treating various forms of mental health issues, and as of current the use of psychedelics for the treatment of anxiety, depression, and addiction are looking incredibly promising, and a step ahead of current treatment. If you think you should be supervised taking LSD then just consider for a moment the first line response treatment for depression, fluoxetine (Prozac). One of the most common side effects is suicidal thoughts, when I took Prozac first I already had suicidal thoughts so I thought this wouldn't apply to me, but fuck me was I wrong. I went from thinking about suicide multiple times per day to multiple times per minute, it was overwhelming and I was very close to attempting to take my life on many occasions. This is a drug that helps less than half of people who take it, and nobody supervises you while you're on it. LSD by comparison may or may not cause suicidal thinking (at the dose I took it in, ~100ug, I think that'd be a pretty rare reaction as it's a fairly light trip at that dose) but it's also fairly obvious that you're on some drug while it's happening, while with Prozac you feel essentially sober and I think that makes the suicidality harder hitting, because you feel like it's genuinely your thoughts while it's happening and for that reason it's harder to dettatch from them.

I agree. anti-depressants as pushed by big pharma are one of the most dangerous things given to people. more often than not they are given with no follow up counseling to actually deal with what caused the depression in the first place. i was extremely suicidal on zoloft as a teenager. they also cause physical issues like weight gain and when you miss a dose it completely ruins your day.
I have used psychedelics nearly ever weekend for almost 15 years now to reset my ego and keep me in a stable mental state. yes often its used recreationally now, but that is only because my mental stability is there. i am all for medical research and promoting knowledge of all chemicals in the name of harm reduction. i feel there is a use for all entheogens as long as people keep safety in mind!

It's good to hear you also managed to escape the clutches of the current toxic treatments used for depression. Yeah, I do the same thing nowadays. Psychedelics have helped me reach an incredibly stable mental state - LSD cured me of depression and Ayahuasca cured me of 90% of my social anxiety and now meditation keeps the last 5-10% at bay. It hasn't just been my mental state that's become more stable though, I've changed as a person from being bitter, resentful and pessimistic to nowadays being happy, peaceful, and optimistic. Now the thing that keeps me coming back to them is the recreational side of them too, and trying to find out how deep the rabbit hole goes.
I agree with what you originally said about supervision but I just wanted to bring up that comparison because I think it's absolutely fucking insane that current treatment can make you suicidal (and likely will do) as a side effect, and in comparison therapeutic doses of LSD are relatively benign (in my opinion, though there's always going to be bad reactions occasionally I guess).
You should check out more of MAPS' research (various other places also looking at using psychedelics medicinally like USONA and I forget the names of others), it's really exciting stuff, they're looking at all sorts of psychedelics and entheogens for medicinal purposes and the results thus far are really promising. I'm hopeful that in a decade or two the stigma attached to psychedelics will have vanished as it becomes more and more clear that these truly are incredibly therapeutic substances when it comes to mental health issues, and hopefully within our lifetimes there will be decriminalisation or, better yet, legalisation.

MDMA helps me overcome my neurotic stuttering. I believe stuttering is the freezing of one's masculine energy caused by lack of trust (fear of punishment for projecting). When I take MDMA I trust myself and others and I don't have the fear of punishment and I can project verbally with much less anxiety.

Any thoughts on mushroom grow kits? I've been thinking about growing for the first time (I actually want it for medicinal purposes to treat my cluster headaches), and was doing a ton of research on the PF tek. Then I came across these grow kits, which are basically pre mycelium cultivated containers that get mailed to you. Seems really easy. My biggest fear with the PF tek is that I'm going to mess it up and spend 2 months without actually getting my medication, then having to spend even more money with a dealer. But the grow kit seems like it is more reliable to yield the few grams I want (less variables that I could mess up). I'm not going to sell any of it, just want a few grams a couple times a year. Any thoughts?

I used it a few times because I am anxious and depressed most days for the last 5 years, and I don't have a comedown, I just return to what I feel like usually so it's more annoying than depressing. But I did notice I feel great and open for the next month or two though.

MDMA has cured my panic attacks. Just adding to the positives of MDMA use when USED correctly, and at the RIGHT doses and NEVER abused. :D I was legit starting to get REALLY bad panic attacks about death, etc the feeling was horrible... literally after taking a couple doses 50mg at a time and about a couple weeks later I realized I no longer can even FORCE a panic attack. I wasn't even trying to rid my mind of the panics it just HAPPENED.

people need to realise, that drug induced expieriences can be very healing, if done right. im sure they can be more succesfull than just the things they do in the body
