You did have Heavy Armour proficiency, it was under the Sub Class Proficiencies lower down. So that's good you stayed with the low Dex build with that as the expectation.
Whether or not you have heavy armour proficiency as a cleric depends on what domain you choose. By default, it's just medium, but the proficiency is prevalent enough that the clerics starting equipment has an extra option to have chainmail IF you do have the proficiency
Mage armour sets your AC to 13 + dex, which IS an increase of 3, assuming you aren't wearing armour, which in game is now just a prerequisite for the spell instead
Baldur's gate and Baldur's gate 2 have stayed my favorite games of all time. I know they are fairly different from each other but I like them both. I played Baldur's gate 2 with just about every race and class combination and every party makeup. I replayed that game so many times and it's still gold. I can't believe how many bugs were in the game when I first played it. Even after the expansions and patches it still had a lot of bugs but man that game was so good. Can't wait for this.

It was good to attract new players but also lost a lot of old players. * The Seldarine are indeed the Elven Pantheon of Gods. Lolth was cast out ages ago and the Drow fled to the Underdark. Surface Drow are rare in the standard Forgotten Realms timeline. Eilistraee is the most well-known 'good' Drow god(dess). Glad she's an option in the game already. * The Gith were a people enslaved by Mind Flayers. They rebelled & escaped, one of the few that have ever succeeded. They split into two cultures, the Githyanki (more evil) & Githzerai (monastic). * The ship is a Spelljammer, capable of traversing the gap between planets and even stars. The classic Mind Flayer design is called a Nautiloid. * I too have always pronounced drow as 'drau'. But, the word comes from norse/germanic languages and has become another word in English - troll. That kind of implies that we're wrong about the pronunciation. That said, I don't plan on changing. :D * Imps are devils (quasits are the demon equivalent).

Meanwhile as a Pathfinder fan, I wonder if/when we get our first 2nd ed ruleset PC game with a ton of character customization options... only to have a TPK after the first fight. I know Owlcat is making a second game, but it will use 1st ed Mythic rules based on one of its adventure paths, neither of which doesn’t have a 2e revision yet.

Today their are drow who follow Loth (Most) but a smaller faction that does not but still, for the most part, follow the dark elf gods (mostly children of Loth): most evil except one.

On a side note it's fun to see you reacting to the intellect devourer with your preconceptions as player instead of reacting like maybe your character would. Remember your character knows nothing, you've chosen the healing subclass and a good god and just killed a "helpless" creature afraid for its life asking for help =)
I play 1e every week. It's a whole different game when your just some guy assailed by monsters with no abilities or cantrips and an overwhelming sense of dread as your systematicly surrounded by gelatinous cubes singing about how lemony fresh the dungeon is.

Hey quill, how about you do 3 playthroughs of the game: - first is now - second as a different class/character in early access - third as another different class when game is out I assume there are classes, and I know BG have companions (I assume BG3 has them too), but your main class will probably give some difference in play style.

I bought divinity original sin 2 early access and I never regreted it got a solid 60 hours out of it was better quality than most games these days with good replay value totally plan on buying this soon

Planescape took to between the plaines. But Spelljammer took you between the Crystal spheres (all the different campaign worlds). The mindflayers where quite promement in that.

Ah, d&d edition wars. 2e is still my favourite. Had the best settings. (Dark sun, planescape, spelljammer, ravenloft and more.)
It also had the best rules.

5th Ed you get heavy armor for certain types of clerics. Life, Tempest, War, etc. Some don't get it though.

Probably you perceived it, but you do have Heavy armor proficiency, it is because of you domain. Life domain concedes this proficiency.
Heavy Armour is available with a cleric domain choice I think it's war.
