Despite the large scale conversion, overt religious strife is uncommon in South Korea, likely due to the Confucian society which stresses politeness. Despite this, I had a Korean Buddhist nun tell me that an evangelical Christian in South Korea tell her she was going to hell due to her Buddhist beliefs. She was puzzled, to say the least. Very sad. South Korean evangelicals are actively involved in Southeast Asian countries such as Cambodia in an effort to convert the Buddhists there to Christianity. South Koreans have a lot of money and are building Christian universities and funding missionaries for that purpose. This is contrary to the teachings of Jesus, but they don't see it that way.
We have our household help who have two daughters. We have undertaken the responsibility to educate their two daughters. We admitted them in a Christian run school in TN. Soon we came to know that the school offered free education for one child citing their ‘poverty’! We went to the school and made it clear to the people there that this coercion is unacceptable. Every Hindu of means has to protect and take care of Hindus who are economically backward. Government cannot do everything. My best friend in HS was a Malyali Christian. She was, is and will always be one of the best people I know, that's how strong the impact of that friendship was. She was morally upstanding and never EVER demeaned my beliefs. She even declined a full scholarship to study overseas to stay in India. And i always felt she was more patriotic than me. Met another Christian in the US, same deal - despite being a christian from a looonnngggg line of hardcore Trump supporting Christians, she neither demeaned my beliefs nor shied away from inquiring about them politely. I have not met a single Christian who feels that India is not their home etc. This has never been an issue. Everyone of them knows they are Indian by birth and religion is a separate matter, just like a person born into a Hindu family is an Indian and religion is separate/personal. Simple. But as far as politics is concerned, there may be some ambivalence towards the BJP and that should be understood/addressed through conversations/dialogue. And hopefully folks will stop making unfounded allegations about their 'Indian-ness'.

Conversion by self volition is not a problem. A true Christian believes that conversion is a mission in the life . In India they can do it only be denigrating the religion they are trying to convert you from. Apart from religious conversion there is social issue as well. It will alienate the native people from their own land culture and very essence of their heritage.

My concern is the Muslim community, it appears they cannot change, not because they do not want to change but because they are not allowed to change, as they fear that they will have to pay with their life if they make changes without the approval of Mullas. The problem lies with certain political parties especially the I.N C. His grand father was Ghiasuddin Ghazi who came from Afghanistan to join Mughal police administration in Delhi. He however changed his name to Gangadhar Neher for fear of his life from the British Garrison stationed in Delhi in 1800 . But he never converted to Hinduism hence his descendents should be considered as Muslims. Motilal to Jawharlal to Indira to Rajiv and now the Pappu Raul Vinci Roberto.
The amount of money allotted by the government for the upliftment of poor and SC/ST can make them rich but it doesn't reach them and the church gives them only one time once converted they have to pay back the church till they die.
Savio Rodrigues is an admirable man and a fine example of an Indian Christian. I have long admired India for its religious tolerance. Hindus, Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and many others are able to live in peace together and practice their religions in mutual respect. The main problem is when religious communities preach intolerance and hatred to their own people, for instance the demonizing of Hindu gods by some Muslims and by some evangelical Christians. Many of the Christian missionaries in India, who are funded by evangelical churches in the USA and elsewhere teach their followers this kind of intolerance, and I believe most of the anti-Christian incidents in India stem from this sort of thing. If Christian missionaries will be completely respectful of all Hindu religious practices and merely offer the loving and compassionate teachings of Jesus Christ, then I think all Christian/Hindu animosity will cease. Hindu teachers have long admired the teachings of Christ. I believe Christians who feel and express universal love and live in harmony with their Hindu and Muslim (etc.) neighbors will always be welcomed as part of the nation and community in India. Evangelical Christianity is fine as a relgion and practice. But evangelical Christians need to make sure all teachings, beliefs, expression remains harmonious. If Christians hear negative talk of other religions from their preachers or fellow members, they need to speak up and make clear they do not approve of such language or ideas. The same is true of Islam. It is a fine religion, but the zealots need to carefully consider their attitude towards the other religions and eliminate any unharmonious actions of body, speech and mind.

Humanity is the greatest concept. I always have thought about it. But everyone has to understand "we are not this body, we are soul". To enjoy this body, we give sufferings to every living beings. We should give food to the soul within us, not only to the body. If we concentrate only on body, it will agitate us all the time and make havoc in the world. So every living beings(soul) has the right to live in their body. We should not disturb that rule by making sufferings to the body. So we have to make sure that every soul finishes their work according to their past activities(karma) within their body. So we have to create situation like this and it will bring peace to the world. This truth must be known before all the concepts. Our all the other concepts must be move around this concept of " Body and the soul".

Another incident - i cried for days when a kitten I had befriended was run over by a car. I shared this painful news with a roman catholic nun and told her I'd run to her for a hug if I could. She wasn't moved. My grief meant nothing to her. Later on, she said "I like my time and space". Are nuns not supposed to be selfless and compassionate?
Please contact animal shelter for abandoned and hurt animals. The nuns have time schedule and responsibilities, they cannot be caring for abandoned animals. They are not trained for caring for sick, abandoned animals, the animal shelter will take care. The nuns will do thier work as given in thier duties, not sure if they will have permission to take care of kittens

We have millions of Hindus all over the world living there for ages but no problem at all because one of the main reason is in other countries they do not allow religion to mix with other religion in any form just like mixing tea and coffee and then drinking it.
We are a minority community, if there are no upright Hindus we have to seek asylum to places where Christians are not persecuted. Hindu community has always been industrious and ethical too, we are among top 10 countries because most of us are peace loving, law abiding and industrious. Evangelists are bringing bad name to Christians in India, how would a Muslim country or Christian country respond if they are forced to become Hindu? It will be resisted and condemned. Choosing a different religion than the one you are born into must never be for economic gain, a lot of the poor want to escape poverty and hate by choosing Christianity, not welcome move, choose Christianity only for non economic reasons. Also we are all becoming global, Is a Hindu rejected in Eutope, USA? Post industrial revolution the world has become impersonal. Your personal life has less importance in a new global environment. Old world was less welcoming, if you are born in India you will never choose to immigrate to non Hindu lands. People no more think in terms of religion now, they want law, order and opportunity. In future, as people give less importance to religion and more importance to charecter and friendliness we will have far less inter religious friction.

See iyer and savio, help me understand- on a cold morning at 6am I heard cries of help from a kitten. I thought it came from a nuns' residence/convent so I sought their consent to look around their garden. The nuns weren't pleased that I set foot in their compound. I couldn't locate the kitten so I left after thanking them. As I stepped out, I looked in the drain outside their residence and saw the kitten trapped there. I rolled up my track pants and got down the drain to rescue the kitten. Did the nuns concerned even bother to offer any assistance? No. They simply got into the car and drove off. After three failed attempts I contacted the fire brigade and managed to save the kitty. Again, did the nuns ever bother ensuring about the kitten? They couldn't care less. So much for being the "voice of the voiceless". I've since lost all respect for the church, clergy, priests and nuns.-
Article 25 of the Constitution should be amended to delete the word 'Propagate'. Propagation of religion is not, cannot, should not be a Fundamental Right, in fact it is not even a legal right. Propagation of religion is just a permitted activity. Right to Change ones own religion is a fundamental right, but right to propagate religion is NOT a fundamental right. Anti-Conversion law should state that no one can spend money for conversions, this will put an end to all organized conversions by well funded groups and organizations.

The Ministry of Minorities doesnt have data on atrocities (very conveniently ) committed on minorities. But atrocities on minorities have increased steeply since 2014 in India. More than 365 churches were demolished in 2021 - one church everyday. Every state, is making legislation - protection of religion - anti conversion bill. As per this bill, any christian can be booked and sent to jail on charges of forced conversion. From the jail, that person has to prove that he / she was not forcing conversion on others. The person who made the complaint need not give any proof of forced conversion, only a complaint is enough in police station, to jail a person. Savio is from Goa, where Christians are in majority and they may not face the kind of atrocities , minorities face in other states where they less than 2% of population. So his opinion is not the same for rest of India. In other states, some christians are not allowed to pray in thier homes esp in remote villages, religion vigilantes barge into the house, and tell the christians not to pray in thier homes. If the christian family is staying in rented house, they should not pray inside the house - some cases are there.
Only solution is all should respect other religions and their practices. No one should disturb other religeous celebrations. If they are interested they can participate otherwise keep quiet.

let me tell you my personal experience.a vast majority of christians in fact 95% in their hatred for modi have also begun hating india.this is the absolute truth.the worst part is that in this hatred parents of christian children are ruining their lives by carrying their hatred into spoiling their aspirations in lifes avenues available to them.
A third example - I was one hot afternoon looking for a place to feed my hungry street cat friend. I decided to leave her some food outside an unoccupied house belonging to the catholic church. When I saw a nun inside the house compound, I ran up to seek her permission. She instead told me never to feed the cat there anymore. This is a votary whose "charity" and "kindness" were extolled when she "graduated" as a nun. There's so much hypocrisy about the deeds nuns, priests and church do. The reality is none even cares less about the thirst and hunger of street dogs and cats. None bothers to leave them a bowl of water outside the convent or church. Christianity as I a former convent student today realise is nothing but a bigoted doctrine. The church, clergy, nuns and priests need to get off their high horse and embrace humility. Hindus converting to Christianity and Islam 99.9% dispise Hinduism. Majority of the converts are from poor socio economic background. At conversion for a bowl of rice or whatever as an incentive a deep hatred is instilled in them against the Hindus and Hindu Dharma. Despite this, I had a Korean Buddhist nun tell me that an evangelical Christian in South Korea tell her she was going to hell due to her Buddhist beliefs. She was puzzled, to say the least. Very sad. South Korean evangelicals are actively involved in Southeast Asian countries such as Cambodia in an effort to convert the Buddhists there to Christianity. South Koreans have a lot of money and are building Christian universities and funding missionaries for that purpose. This is contrary to the teachings of Jesus, but they don't see it that way.
We have our household help who have two daughters. We have undertaken the responsibility to educate their two daughters.
We admitted them in a Christian run school in TN.
Soon we came to know that the school offered free education for one child citing their ‘poverty’!
We went to the school and made it clear to the people there that this coercion is unacceptable.

I have not met a single Christian who feels that India is not their home etc. This has never been an issue. Everyone of them knows they are Indian by birth and religion is a separate matter, just like a person born into a Hindu family is an Indian and religion is separate/personal. Simple. But as far as politics is concerned, there may be some ambivalence towards the BJP and that should be understood/addressed through conversations/dialogue. And hopefully folks will stop making unfounded allegations about their 'Indian-ness'.

Conversion itself is not the problem, but the hatred and disrespect that is taught for sanatan dharma and the Hindu way of life, is the real problem.
Conversion by self volition is not a problem. A true Christian believes that conversion is a mission in the life . In India they can do it only be denigrating the religion they are trying to convert you from. Apart from religious conversion there is social issue as well. It will alienate the native people from their own land culture and very essence of their heritage.

My concern is the Muslim community, it appears they cannot change, not
because they do not want to change but because they are not allowed to change, as they fear that they will have to pay with their life if they make changes without the approval of Mullas.
It is a worldwide phenomenon and the only way to stop is to bring to light any of their misdeeds and bring them to the judiciary for giving appropriate justice.
The problem lies with certain political parties especially the I.N C. The reason being the this political party was originally created by a British citizen and when they left India the helms of the party was taken over by JJawharlal Neher who was a descendent of a Afghan Muslim. His grand father was Ghiasuddin Ghazi who came from Afghanistan to join Mughal police administration in Delhi. He however changed his name to Gangadhar Neher for fear of his life from the British Garrison stationed in Delhi in 1800 . But he never converted to Hinduism hence his descendents should be considered as Muslims. Motilal to Jawharlal to Indira to Rajiv and now the Pappu Raul Vinci Roberto.

The amount of money allotted by the government for the upliftment of poor and SC/ST can make them rich but it doesn't reach them and the church gives them only one time once converted they have to pay back the church till they die.

Hindus, Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and many others are able to live in peace together and practice their religions in mutual respect. The main problem is when religious communities preach intolerance and hatred to their own people, for instance the demonizing of Hindu gods by some Muslims and by some evangelical Christians. Many of the Christian missionaries in India, who are funded by evangelical churches in the USA and elsewhere teach their followers this kind of intolerance, and I believe most of the anti-Christian incidents in India stem from this sort of thing. If Christian missionaries will be completely respectful of all Hindu religious practices and merely offer the loving and compassionate teachings of Jesus Christ, then I think all Christian/Hindu animosity will cease. Hindu teachers have long admired the teachings of Christ. I believe Christians who feel and express universal love and live in harmony with their Hindu and Muslim (etc.) neighbors will always be welcomed as part of the nation and community in India. Evangelical Christianity is fine as a relgion and practice. But evangelical Christians need to make sure all teachings, beliefs, expression remains harmonious. If Christians hear negative talk of other religions from their preachers or fellow members, they need to speak up and make clear they do not approve of such language or ideas. The same is true of Islam. It is a fine religion, but the zealots need to carefully consider their attitude towards the other religions and eliminate any unharmonious actions of body, speech and mind.
Mate, we simply do not need ANY TEACHINGS from ANY RELIGION, especially from Christianity. Sanatana dharma has everything that we need to know and what is not there is not worth knowing. Humanity is the greatest concept. I always have thought about it. But everyone has to understand "we are not this body, we are soul". To enjoy this body, we give sufferings to every living beings. We should give food to the soul within us, not only to the body. If we concentrate only on body, it will agitate us all the time and make havoc in the world. So every living beings(soul) has the right to live in their body. We should not disturb that rule by making sufferings to the body. So we have to make sure that every soul finishes their work according to their past activities(karma) within their body. So we have to create situation like this and it will bring peace to the world. This truth must be known before all the concepts. Our all the other concepts must be move around this concept of " Body and the soul".

Another incident - i cried for days when a kitten I had befriended was run over by a car. I shared this painful news with a roman catholic nun and told her I'd run to her for a hug if I could.
She wasn't moved. My grief meant nothing to her.

Please contact animal shelter for abandoned and hurt animals. The nuns have time schedule and responsibilities, they cannot be caring for abandoned animals. They are not trained for caring for sick, abandoned animals, the animal shelter will take care. The nuns will do thier work as given in thier duties, not sure if they will have permission to take care of kittens

We have millions of Hindus all over the world living there for ages but no problem at all because one of the main reason is in other countries they do not allow religion to mix with other religion in any form just like mixing tea and coffee and then drinking it.
We are a minority community, if there are no upright Hindus we have to seek asylum to places where Christians are not persecuted. Hindu community has always been industrious and ethical too, we are among top 10 countries because most of us are peace loving, law abiding and industrious.
Evangelists are bringing bad name to Christians in India, how would a Muslim country or Christian country respond if they are forced to become Hindu? It will be resisted and condemned. Choosing a different religion than the one you are born into must never be for economic gain, a lot of the poor want to escape poverty and hate by choosing Christianity, not welcome move, choose Christianity only for non economic reasons.
Also we are all becoming global, Is a Hindu rejected in Eutope, USA? Post industrial revolution the world has become impersonal. Your personal life has less importance in a new global environment.
Old world was less welcoming, if you are born in India you will never choose to immigrate to non Hindu lands. People no more think in terms of religion now, they want law, order and opportunity. In future, as people give less importance to religion and more importance to charecter and friendliness we will have far less inter religious friction.

See iyer and savio, help me understand- on a cold morning at 6am I heard cries of help from a kitten. I thought it came from a nuns' residence/convent so I sought their consent to look around their garden.
The nuns weren't pleased that I set foot in their compound. I couldn't locate the kitten so I left after thanking them.
As I stepped out, I looked in the drain outside their residence and saw the kitten trapped there.
I rolled up my track pants and got down the drain to rescue the kitten.
Did the nuns concerned even bother to offer any assistance? No. They simply got into the car and drove off.
After three failed attempts I contacted the fire brigade and managed to save the kitty.
Again, did the nuns ever bother ensuring about the kitten? They couldn't care less.
So much for being the "voice of the voiceless".
I've since lost all respect for the church, clergy, priests and nuns.-

The Ministry of Minorities doesnt have data on atrocities (very conveniently ) committed on minorities. But atrocities on minorities have increased steeply since 2014 in India. More than 365 churches were demolished in 2021 - one church everyday. Every state, is making legislation - protection of religion - anti conversion bill. As per this bill, any christian can be booked and sent to jail on charges of forced conversion. From the jail, that person has to prove that he / she was not forcing conversion on others. The person who made the complaint need not give any proof of forced conversion, only a complaint is enough in police station, to jail a person.
Savio is from Goa, where Christians are in majority and they may not face the kind of atrocities , minorities face in other states where they less than 2% of population. So his opinion is not the same for rest of India.
In other states, some christians are not allowed to pray in thier homes esp in remote villages, religion vigilantes barge into the house, and tell the christians not to pray in thier homes. If the christian family is staying in rented house, they should not pray inside the house - some cases are there.

let me tell you my personal experience.a vast majority of christians in fact 95% in their hatred for modi have also begun hating india.this is the absolute truth.the worst part is that in this hatred parents of christian children are ruining their lives by carrying their hatred into spoiling their aspirations in lifes avenues available to them.
A third example - I was one hot afternoon looking for a place to feed my hungry street cat friend. I decided to leave her some food outside an unoccupied house belonging to the catholic church.
When I saw a nun inside the house compound, I ran up to seek her permission. She instead told me never to feed the cat there anymore.
This is a votary whose "charity" and "kindness" were extolled when she "graduated" as a nun.
There's so much hypocrisy about the deeds nuns, priests and church do. The reality is none even cares less about the thirst and hunger of street dogs and cats. None bothers to leave them a bowl of water outside the convent or church.
Christianity as I a former convent student today realise is nothing but a bigoted doctrine.
The church, clergy, nuns and priests need to get off their high horse and embrace humility. There's nothing superior to their being catholic or Christian. They are human beings first and foremost and this truth is lost on them!
I don't know why Christians don't revert to sanatana dharma though they know they were forcefully converted or lured
