Great point to make. power companies take government subsidies. The power company has become the joe o'biden administration. They decide how much you pay, how much energy is available, AND what type of energy you use. Yep, our government gets to decide all that now. That's the radical left wing nut jobs at work making you feel guilty to want to stay alive. But also... MORE DIE FROM COLD THAN HEAT. And that actually happened in Texas 2021, due to left wing so-called green policy... Energy companies took subsidies to go green, and reduced reliable fossil fuel, then there was not enough power when a storm hit. More than 3 people froze to death in Texas!?!?! (I pointed out that more than "3 froze to death", because waaayyy more than 3 died from the ice storm and cold!!!). Spread the word.
Investors are Capital Research, Vanguard, BlackRock. Reliant Energy was busted up into smaller companies, CenterPoint is one of those - just spreading the pie out, and then you create contracted companies. But please don't harass the linemen trying to restore the power.
I wonder if i was getting carbon monoxide from neighbors generator. I felt exactly as he described. Almost passed out had to leave and 24 hours later still feel bad
Omg me too. Anytime they grill the smoke smell gets in my house we live in townhomes . I feel like it’s coming in through the cracks in the doors of our old house
It’s 15 dead right ??? Don’t down play there death, it’s sad that people were not prepared for the storms and are suffering badly from there foolish mistakes 😢😢😢 Folks you have to have a generator if you live near the gulf 😊
I lived in Florida without air conditioning or heating. During a hurricane related power outage we cooked outdoors over a campfire and cooled down in the creek. There is Florida Tough vs Tenderfoot Texas.
In a red state that has passed specific laws to override the city and counties local control. Almost every republican state government does this. Local control for me but not for thee. And Abbott abandoned his responsibility and didn't manage the situation nor did he call out the state guard as Ann Richards used to do. He played in Asia while his constituents died
I'm in Missouri. We have a wood powered generator sitting behind the barn. It uses free deadfall to create power in an emergency that we've never had here because our liberal electric coop doesn't cut capitalist corners on maintenence. During the winter power grid disaster in Texas, I monitored the situation in Texas, because it was cold here, too. The electric cooperatives in Texas did a phenomenal job of keeping up with the demand in Texas.
America is now in prehistoric times. This is shameful. Where is the power company???

Heat is problem 😊
Solar generators don’t emit CO2.
This is sad
republican said no breaks for workers in the heat.
I wonder how many homeless people have died due to this heat? Unfortunately, there are probably more elderly dead.
republican power grid failed again. they are out of state right now, so you're on your own.
You realize Texas and Houston are mostly democrats right just the governors aren’t democrats.
HOUSTON IS RUN BY DEMOCRATS dam these libs are slow
Unfortunately
Sad
Folks if u don't have power " turn ur water heater completely off!!! And etc don't use machinery next to ur home place in yard away from the house
Why would you turn your hot water heater off???
If it’s gas it’s fine
If it’s electric welllllllll.
What is wrong with you?

@@macmcleod1188Why would you interject facts when the OP is only interested in buzzword commentary??
@@trinaisspeakin4539 Something was wrong on the internet!
@@macmcleod1188 In the same red state all your blue voters are moving to. Ercot supplies power to the grid.
@@macmcleod1188 so only republican government practices “local control for me but not for me” you just gave yourself away soyy boyy….
Well, I could put in near my garage, because our garage is detached and at the back of the yard. That is lucky for me.
NO
