My favorite Buckethead song ever! This is what lured me into him back in 1996 when I got this Bootsy Collins project called Praxis. I was like 😮 who is that guitarist?! It was love at 1st listen & 30 yrs later, 56 shows later, (that I have ticket stubs for, lost count of electronic stubs) I am still in love with his sound! His live performance never gets old!
I've been playing guitar for nearly 30 years. I can say with 100% confidence that Brian is one of the few living musicians that can aptly be described as a virtuoso.
He went to town on this one! So many memorable melodic phrases I can't get out of my head. It's amazing to see how he continues to evolve his older songs over the years and keep them sounding fresh. Thanks for sharing this!
Buckethead/Brian could sell the rights to Buckethead after he doesn't want to do it anymore. Someone else could step in, learn to play his songs, and put on the mask and be "Buckethead" This is what The Dread Pirate Roberts did in Princess Bride "The Dread Pirate Roberts is the identity assumed by several fictional characters in the novel The Princess Bride and its 1987 film adaptation. Various pirates take on the role of Roberts and use his reputation to intimidate their opponents, before retiring and secretly passing on the name to someone else."
@@uncleremus64Even if he did, it just wouldn’t feel the same. Like every person is unique, they also have their own energy that you can feel live. At least I can feel it. He’s one a trillion or more.
I saw Buckethead live for the second time in LA in July with my wife and best friend. It was absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to see him again live and I hope I get to meet him somehow one day.
He went longer on this version and perhaps a little extra since he had to deal with breaking in new strings, so a bonus for the off sounds. Spectacular phrasing and imagine the stamina to play that long! Iron men!
@@jlcragle Aye, he did! This is the real benefit of having a drummer and bassist, as it allows Bucket to truly enter that flow state and improvise for as long as he feels, making for some very unique versions of these songs. It was quite a treat! 🤖💕
Definitely the closest I've ever been! It helped that the stage was small and low. Bucket has generally been setting up kinda far back if he can, but didn't have as much room to do that here.
My friend is professor of music at USC and she is good friends with Robin Finck (former lead guitarist for gunsnroses) and he played many times with Buckethead.
Any delay pedal combined with a distortion pedal will get you the effect you're looking for. The trick is to get the delay timing correct, so the knob needs to be set at the right spot to get the proper echo effect for the song.

The fact that people are able to conceive of such pieces is insane to me. Not even talking about being skillfull enough to play it.

I love how he tried to snap that slipping gibson back in tune on the fly like that
New strings & it didn't take him long to stretch them out , pissed him off a bit but he's such a pro it's all part of playing live .

Another masterpiece by the string king.
Masterpiece... my fav track
Nice mic!
I just love how he slowly builds his songs. His playing is unreal , I swear he plays notes that most others can’t

Amazing!!!!Amazing show
I swear until this video I hadn't seen Buckethead's beard
Yep he is rockin a beard!
Idk bucket got a beard now 😧
I really wish we could see how he looks like without the mask rocking the beard.
@@bucketheadrocks I thought i saw that when I saw him live back in october, but this confirmed it

Is it me or does he really have a beard here.
