I absolutely love Justins response at the end. Legend! Well done Ryan. Again congrats on your marraige and thank you for posting awesome footage once more.
Oh my goodness I am so glad that you guys are making videos again. I was checking every other day to see if you guys posted a video and I was losing my mind
We are 100% back. Expect at least 2 a week for the rest of the year! Was busy getting married and restructuring the business a little bit but we hired an editor and will be going full speed!
Thank you for what you are doing Ryan. Thanks to you and your video's that you and Sam create, my spearfishing knowledge and game has really improved. In my opinion, you are the best in the world at making these videos and breaking them down. 🤙🏼
A bunch of my friends sent me the short clip of you shooting the Lehi and I wondered if you were gonna come our with a video of this. Happy you did. You Da Man!
Luv' ur videos... hello from Réunion island... Just one thing, could ya write down the names of the fish in the video sometimes, cause I tried to look for it on the web the "lay hee" or the "aluha" but I think I didn't correctly catch it... and even youtube subtitles doesn't correctly got it... Thanks for ur content and if u come down there, I would be happy to dive with ya...
Hey ryan if you could answer this question for me. I desire to deep water dive. What is your average breath hold on these dives? And with just you belt weight on how long does it take you to go to the bottom of 100ft roughly? how long do you stay on bottom? How much time do you give yourself to head to the surface ect?
Oh man it's good to see you again it's been to dang long. I was actually worried. Glad to see you and Sam doing well. And glad to see the man the myth the legend Justin Lee. And congratulations on a fish you can hold over Justin's head lol. I can see it now Justin gets a monster fish and your life yeah but it's not a Lay he / Lahey
In australia what you called rosy is a rusty, the rustys are smalltooth and the rosy is entirely different haha Rusty Jobfish, Aphareus rutilans Smalltooth Jobfish, Aphareus furca Rosy jobfish, Pristipomoides filamentosus
Epic Catch! Thanks for your content it’s by far the best spearfishing pro guide there is out there. Very interested in those Hebi spearguns. Hopefully I can try them in the med. big hug
Ryan I would really like to hear more about your prototype gun. Happy to see somebody was successful fishing on Oahu because I was starting to think there were no fish around this island!😂
„Relatively shallow…. Like 130 feet or less“ 😂 bruh that is definitely not shallow. Less than 13 feet. That’s shallow. But amazing diving. Wish I could do that every couple of days.
I shot the same fish while in bali in the depth of 8-10 meters im the reefs. I am still amazed on how the fish got up to the reefs as I usually find them when fishing 80 plus meters. Ruby/queen snapper
One thing I have concluded from watching Ryans videos is that spearfishing in Australia (Queensland) is far better than Hawaii. I did a trip last year about 100kms offshore and the variety and amount of fish was much higher than when Ryan goes off the beaten track. Ryan needs to pull his finger out and come down under. If he can keep up with Tim MacDonald, I will be super impressed
I believe, I’m from Hawaii I’d say it’s bcuz the ratio of land/reef/coastline to population is a lot more dense in hawaii so we’re jus so depleted for so many years
@@futtspoppin6348 depends on the species. Some of our tastiest fish like coral trout are bold and territorial so easy to shoot. Whereas yellow lip emperor, buffalo emperor, pink snapper, long nose emperor etc. are all clever and challenging to shoot
@Brandon Liechti I think the best divers in the world all come from the med since the are used to diving stupid depths and having to work very hard for their fish.
The Yellow Spots have more fat content then the Blue spots. When you filet a yellow spot the knife will actually have a film of fat coating the blade when you're done.
@@patmccrotch8300 ahhh gotcha. I've only gotten one small yellow spot before in my life, so I will try and get another and taste the difference. thanks man
Good Luck. You won't regret it. I'd rank the yellow spot right under Hamachi. Its one of my favorite fish to sashimi. Butaguchi Ulua is also very good but its really rare here in Hawaii.
Mean! Kinda look like you guys no belong diving over there, almost like it’s such a pristine, unmolested area, kinda like people there don’t go there on purpose. Yeah like it’s sort of like a nursery or a sanctuary. Imagine if more people went there over and over, how raped it’ll get. It’s a good thing only your friends go there every once in a while and not take people there on like charters. I could imagine people would just take advantage of the seclusiveness of this beautiful untouched, rare location.

Wicked fish Ryan!
we need a collab with you and ryan! ;)
I can only imagine Justin watching the footage of Ryan passing up the smaller one of the, Lehi? Extreme fomo.

We need more content brah! killah vid
NW Molokai maybe. Did lots of diving air Kalapapa and back along North shore at drops. Used to carry 2 gunge off airport. Keep it going.
Great video, good seeing Justin and Sam. How about a video with Justin and Kimi.
Appreciate your sustainability keep doing what you do man it’s great

Thanks for another great vid!! Question: how would you suggest to build up being able to get that deep and hold your breath that long?
Ryan, you are true inspiration to me and I would like to thank you for teaching me how to become a better spearo!
Finally a new video, so stoked

Insane as always! Congrats!!!

In Australia we call them rusty jobfish can get them regularly over here
Holy crap that was insane
Crazy that you consider 130ft to be relatively shallow!
How come you don’t shoot Rusty Jobfish?
Subscribed. Awesome footage, great commentary. Spent 13 years in Hawaii, picked up a couple tips watching. Moving to Guam now.
How come you never shoot orangespine unicorn fish?
Friggin dozer lehi, shoulda photoshopped it to look like a wahanui
How does bro just casually dive live 200 feet underwater 💀💀😭😭🙏🙏
