      Absolutely! It just makes so much sense. Why wait until it's too late to actually make big changes? Do it in pre-pro!

    What they say about the midpoint is so true. It's necessary to push the second half of the story in a new direction.

    Story is about revealing information at the proper time. It's always about information. The hardest part of storytelling is knowing your information and realizing there is more to be found and how to reveal it.

      @@BehindtheCurtain I'm a afraid that the more you ask, receive and apply what seem like good advices, the more you risk diluting the whole project.
      I like the ("smug") principle of giving people what they don't know they want, being one step ahead.
      Easier said that done of course, but as a guide.

    • @rubyrayne8
      @rubyrayne8 3 года назад +1

      Tomy The good thing about feedback is it’s neutral, you only make the changes you want to. And the other good thing about feedback is that other ppl are going to catch st you didn’t or have great ideas that you didn’t, which only makes the project that much better. You wouldn’t make changes that you don’t agree with. And most ppl at that stage of film making have a vision and are confident about it. If you aren’t confident about your vision, then I can see one not knowing what helps or detracts.
      I edit a friends screenplay and I give a lot of feedback, some is creative and she takes some and leaves some. It’s her project and she knows what she wants the tone to be. If I say it seems very over the top bc I like things that are more nuanced, that’s a creative choice and up to her. But if I find inconsistencies or plot holes, she obviously changes those.
