    It's not a "high school" record if it is a private school that recruits athletes (looking at you IMG Academy, Montverde Academy, and Bullis School). This would more correctly be considered a "high school age" record. Only public school records should be recognized.

    • @Coachloosechange
      @Coachloosechange 11 месяцев назад +3

      Exactly and these are all prep schools none of them compete at the state level

    I’m not impressed by these schools. They have a budget to give scholarships to the most talented athletes in the hood. It was impressive when public schools like Poly Long Beach, Wilson Long Beach and William Penn took raw talent and built winning teams from nothing. No public high school can beat these recruited all-star teams.

    • @yesimemoin0935
      @yesimemoin0935 Год назад

      You're kidding yourself if you think Poly wasn't recruiting. I agree that day schools should be judged differently than boarding schools but public and private will take any talented kid they can get eligible.

      @@yesimemoin0935 You clearly don’t know anything about the west coast. We’re talking about Long Beach in the 90s. an inner city public school doesn’t need to recruit. The talent is already there in the community. It’s the private and parochial schools that come and take from urban areas and then get all of the praise.

      @@allgasnobrakes123ok tell ‘em again plus why would a school that has about 3,000 kids need to recruit both poly and Wilson had talented coaches that brought out the best in there kids

    Yea, good. But devils advocate here, but .... when the fastest people all go out of their way to attend the same school. It takes the luster about of a relay record. Especially indoor track, which isn't ran in a lot of places. I get more excited by INDIVIDUAL track records set outdoors.
