Ever since I first heard This Is War sometime back in early 2011, I've wanted to make this video. Specifically, I felt that there was a strong connection between the intermediate scene in the SWTOR Hope trailer and the quieter section of This Is War, and I really wanted to make a video based around these parts. However, until the SWTOR Return trailer, I did not feel that there was enough material to make a fully-fledged music video like I envisioned - so I was very excited when the intro cinematic came out.
This is my first time making a music video of any kind, so I would appreciate any advice or comments you might have. The video itself kind of took on a life of its own as I was making it - much of what I planned didn't work out, and a lot of what I hadn't even considered ended up fitting beautifully. So this was a really cool learning experience for me, and if things turn out well, I might consider making more videos in my spare time.
As it is, I really have made this video for you - without your time and approval, I would have had no motivation, so thank you very, very much! I hope you enjoy(ed) watching this video as much as I enjoyed making it. :)

Incredibly well done, I like it when people take the time to match the clips with the music instead of lazily slapping scenes over a song.

This here, is the, best use, of this Song. I'm a big fan of Thirty Seconds to Mars, and freaking the game just fits it so good.

I'm a huge Star Wars fanatic. Whenever pretty much anything Star Wars fan-made catches my eye, I look and judge. I'm critical like that, but who isn't when it comes to their favorite thing?
That being said, this video is amazing. It does the song justice, and the timing is absolutely perfect. I own and have beaten both KoTOR and KoTOR 2 several times, and when I heard that SWTOR was going to be an MMO, I was pretty ticked off. But getting to play it when it came out was like something out of a dream I stopped playing it for awhile, mainly because of boredom (and not wanting to re-subscribe). However, when I saw this video, it re-sparked my interest for this game and now I play it whenever I have the free time.
So all in all, I say thank you. Thank you for reestablishing my interest in SWTOR and thank you for making this AMAZING video. You did a damn good job.

Wow, of all the swtor music videos I’ve seen this is by far the best. With the going backwards of the soldier (I don’t remember his name) while he’s flashing back and then the smooth transition into Satele Shan saving him then the bouncing of the best with her killing the siths then the drop when she attacks Malgus. Just great👍🏼

I have watched a ton of AMVs. I have seen people with several seasons of clips to pull from, but none of them have done as good a job as you have with this. Thanks for making me a fan of Star Wars again.

I remember seeing this video years ago, still as good as I remembered. Marvelous work from the creators of the music, the creators of the cinematic scenes, and the visionary that combined the two.
I got the shivers watching this. I absolutely love 30 Seconds to Mars and SWTOR is my game of choice. Nice work in your timing of the music with the scenes. Seamless and wonderful.

I'll say what we're all thinking. The game may have been rather lackluster compared to similar MMO games around the same time. But by god were the trailers an absolute masterpiece. Disney could take a few notes on proper trailers to get people hyped for Star wars. This video is perfect as the scenes match the music almost flawlessly. Must have taken easily weeks to complete. Good job man.

I'm right with you there, Brian. I think that would be absolutely amazing. Bioware has already repeatedly shown that they're masters of storytelling - if they were to pour that creative genius into a movie (or a TV show, like you said), then I think it would be phenomenal. Here's to hoping that happens sometime down the line! :)

Robert McNeely If you're able to, definitely try playing again! The whole game has changed with the addition of Strongholds - you wouldn't think so, but it really is a whole new playing field.
I just wish the audio wasn't so distorted. Great show, though.
