The horse that fell in the Johnson colours at 0:46 did get up, it was fine and ran ten days later. It's called Doc Row, this was back in 2006, the horse is still fine and in training although right now its having a summer break before running again in the autumn.
lol a really good addition to this vid should be my grandma's video where she raced her horse. Alot of horses tripped and fell but amazingly none were hurt!

most jockies understand,the public doesnt care if your having a bad day,we understand a couple of skelps asking the horse you any petrol in the tank and waving it in front of his eye and tapping his arse after that,but as public and im sure stewards notice though thankfully rare the skelp is not used more than twice if helped,thats what i call it imho,wave that crop i call whip in its eye if your in the hunt. end of day horse(did maybe try its best)win lose or draw.the horse deserves respects

well racehorse or horse there are taught on how to do what the rider tells them to do a racehorse maybe different to other horses but really racehorses or not they will do what the rider tells them to do for instance, 'Gamacho Flyer 2001' was in last place by 6 lengths and came strongly to win.

@bombcircle ye i remember watchin it. it was a relatively strong race, with horses that wud go on to run in a National, Naunton Brook and Nadover both running. I think the horse that slipped is Out The Black, another good horse
Also most of this was steeplechase racing you have a greater chance to fall down than flat racing

Troops, this is Steeplechase, English, not Flattrack. Like Stock Car racing, people come for the race but pray for a wreck. Blame the game, not the player. I elbowed the last idiot I saw videoing a down horse, right in the camera eye. Cost me a hundred, worth every penny. Will do it again.

I agree. The horses are generally whipped towards the end of the race. In England jockeys can get banned for misuse of the whip, so there is some controlling body. having said that Many horses die on the track from injury. It's so sad.

It's always awful to see the fallers, but most of the time they immediately get up without having scratched a thing. So jump racing can't be that bad, can it?
That's just sinking low to say that you are happy that the riders got hurt and deserved it.
ppl must know they are herd animals and will follow the group , I'm sure that if these lovely creatures had a voice that be heard they wouldn't want them or there friends to be put in a situation that may kill them at the hands of human kind

ok i love horses an i love horse racing , horse racing is not cruel those horses really enjoy the freedom of running, but i do agree that they shouldn't be racing these horses at 2 years old there bones arent fully grown so it can really hurt them like blue belles right after she won the kentucky derby she just collapsed and she couldn't get up so they had to put her down.

I have absolutely no respect for people who make fun of animals involved in accidents - no matter if they were badly injured or not.
And to those who said that horses have a chance to decide, are made for this sport, would have fun in these races etc...you don´t need to be very smart to recognize that being beaten or falling against a fence with this speed is no fun

I once jumped with a horse that knows how to do it and jumps anything if you keep him enough forward. Until he once met white poles in an obstacle with black spots xD I have a clip of that by luck, it's on my profile ^^;
These jockeys are amazingly good riders. These falls are not exactly "thrills", the jockeys and horses could have suffered fatal injuries.

@ xXfillyfoalXx - that's a crock of shit. These horses are MADE to do this; they wouldn't be doing this if they weren't made to by people who want to exploit them for their own gain. Horses are made to race way too young, before they're full developed which causes injuries and for them to end up in the knackery.
MOST JOCKEY ARE NOT STUPID BUT THERE WAS SOME VERY GREEN JOCKS IN THIS VIDEO THEY WERE LOSELINING THE HORSE NOT HAVING A TIGHT GRIP NO WONDER THEY FELL

in all walks of life there are fatal accidents at work. it doesnt mean that line of work should be banned. do we ban planes the next time one crashes?
horses get treated first class. everyone from the trainer to the owner to the stable staff love these horses to death.
These jumps combined with the way jockeys have to sit are combined to create accidents. How many horses are ruined? Jockeys hurt? Booo.
