Everyone is so hooked with JC’s performance but it was Tony’s tone, delivery of dialogue, grimaces & facial movements after the song that really convinced me that this young actor is the one to watch. His confusion about Mico’s “this is a joke” response is so palpable. Philippine cinema is at good hands with these new crop of young artists.
SO AGREE... it was so realistic u can feel the tension and awkwardness , props to Tony's acting! As well as his voice during his POV was amazing as well.. we dont often hear him narrate
It was honestly delightful to watch all the subtle emotions and conflicting feelings play through him. He brought life to the roller coaster of emotions the character was going through. It was heartbreaking and fascinating to watch at the same time.
Things I appreciate from this episode: 1. The guts to free yourself from the burden you are feeling. Just like what Mico and Seph did when they expressed their feelings (Mico to the Young Padawans and Seph to Kookai). Their gestures were for different reasons, but had the same end goal of freeing themselves from any worries that they have, which we all need in this uncertainty--filled time. 2. Mico quoting Benilda Santos' Sa Kasintahang Nilimot Na in elaborating his feelings for Xavier. I love that Direk Petersen and the writers chose to use a Filipino poem that best describes what his deepest sentiments are. It is also a good way to support Filipino artistry too, so kudos to that! 3. The idea that happiness isn't just romance-dependent. We can feel it, alongside contentment, from friends, family, even in things, places and situations too. Anyway, it makes me more excited for what further lies ahead. :) Thank you for being our source of joy and realization too!

Black Sheep: Don't change a thing! The series is perfect as it is and will be after all your hard and creative work. Story telling in any medium takes us on a journey and some parts of that journey are beautiful and others not so much. Without the darkness there can be no light, etc. This series is a gem and I'm so glad I stumbled across it. Keep up the good work and ignore the whining in comments. I completely agree! However, I also understand where the whining is coming from. I think a lot of the audience come from a younger demographic and have a somewhat naive (for lack of a better term) perspective. Maybe they have yet to explore the depths of human emotion and would prefer to stay in their pastel world. Or, for some, they look to this series as a sort of escape from reality and the less ideal scenarios kind of burst that bubble for them. In any case, if you haven't noticed, it keeps the audience coming back for more, regardless of their opinion. So, big brain move by Black Sheep ;). Keep it up! But pleaaaassse do pull our spirits up as well at some point hahaha.

Wished this was a Netflix series that came out all at once. I CANNOT WAIT every week for a new episode!!! I end up rewatching the whole series when a new episode gets uploaded. Normally I'm not fan of BL because theyre usually to cringey for me but this series has been amazing.
Mico's got real problems with allowing himself to be loved. Xavier said out loud, as plainly as can be, that the song was for him. Then, although he's thrilled, he says "you're joking, right?" Then he's crushed when Xavier, after much hesitation and afraid of looking like a fool, affirms that it's a joke and the beautiful song he wrote was for what's her name. Talk about getting what you've dreamed of and then shitting all over it...yikes.
Well that's Mico's first. I mean he wud be the first if ever. So how Mico brushed it off unintentionally was so relatable and understandable. Love how the conflict grows internally in the two most important characters of the series 😍😍😍

I was so touched and to tears when Mico revealed to his bestfriends he's crushing over Xavier and the smile on their faces showed sincere acceptance. These guys are reallyyy good actors! salute!

Everyone is so hooked with JC’s performance but it was Tony’s tone, delivery of dialogue, grimaces & facial movements after the song that really convinced me that this young actor is the one to watch. His confusion about Mico’s “this is a joke” response is so palpable. Philippine cinema is at good hands with these new crop of young artists.

Things I appreciate from this episode:
1. The guts to free yourself from the burden you are feeling. Just like what Mico and Seph did when they expressed their feelings (Mico to the Young Padawans and Seph to Kookai). Their gestures were for different reasons, but had the same end goal of freeing themselves from any worries that they have, which we all need in this uncertainty--filled time.
2. Mico quoting Benilda Santos' Sa Kasintahang Nilimot Na in elaborating his feelings for Xavier. I love that Direk Petersen and the writers chose to use a Filipino poem that best describes what his deepest sentiments are. It is also a good way to support Filipino artistry too, so kudos to that!
3. The idea that happiness isn't just romance-dependent. We can feel it, alongside contentment, from friends, family, even in things, places and situations too.
Anyway, it makes me more excited for what further lies ahead. :) Thank you for being our source of joy and realization too!

Black Sheep: Don't change a thing! The series is perfect as it is and will be after all your hard and creative work. Story telling in any medium takes us on a journey and some parts of that journey are beautiful and others not so much. Without the darkness there can be no light, etc. This series is a gem and I'm so glad I stumbled across it. Keep up the good work and ignore the whining in comments. They just show that you're doing a good job in challenging their fantasies that life should be or is always a bed of roses. Art should reflect life/reality. That's what I see here. Great work!!!

I completely agree! However, I also understand where the whining is coming from. I think a lot of the audience come from a younger demographic and have a somewhat naive (for lack of a better term) perspective. Maybe they have yet to explore the depths of human emotion and would prefer to stay in their pastel world. Or, for some, they look to this series as a sort of escape from reality and the less ideal scenarios kind of burst that bubble for them. In any case, if you haven't noticed, it keeps the audience coming back for more, regardless of their opinion. So, big brain move by Black Sheep ;). Keep it up! But pleaaaassse do pull our spirits up as well at some point hahaha.

Mico's got real problems with allowing himself to be loved. Xavier said out loud, as plainly as can be, that the song was for him. Then, although he's thrilled, he says "you're joking, right?" Then he's crushed when Xavier, after much hesitation and afraid of looking like a fool, affirms that it's a joke and the beautiful song he wrote was for what's her name. Talk about getting what you've dreamed of and then shitting all over it...yikes.
Well that's Mico's first. I mean he wud be the first if ever. So how Mico brushed it off unintentionally was so relatable and understandable. Love how the conflict grows internally in the two most important characters of the series 😍😍😍
