Hi Ken, You are most diligent on your repair of this condenser dryer. I am a Sears technician of 7 years and we are the number 1 service provider in the USA. Great news, your Dryer is operating as designed! Timed dry will deliver the unit to run and not stop for the set time you have selected. Auto dry will run the unit for the time show at the start or less. Auto dry will detect the clothes and turn off the dryer, in a shorter time, when the dryer determines the clothes are dry enough. The key point is 'Dry Enough". Condenser dryers have moist air circulating in the drum where the clothes are. This vent-less condition will always prevent the clothes from feeling completely dry. More like Slightly Damp. Reference video: Search: Cabana State of Mind > Customer review of 2 in 1 Combo Washer Dryer Review (3:55min mark) Thank you for all the SERIOUS work done to your dryer and the many hours it took you to test the unit and document this video.
@@kensuzuki9319 You need only replace the lint filter if torn. Torn filters can cause articles of clothes to pass into the heat exchanger are and clog up the air flow. Torn filters can also tear up your clothes. To maintain your lint filter: wash the filter with a toothbrush and water, No soap as it will leave a coating over the filter holes.
Hi Ken. I had the same problem. The timer jumped to one minute remaining and then turned off. In my case, below the drum lint filter, there was a thermostat that was covered in dust. I cleaned it until it shined and it worked perfect so far.
Hi, I’ve enjoyed your videos. I’ve had the same problem. Your video where you show the water sensor is interesting. I thought maybe the sensor is dirty and doesn’t sense the water draining. So I did 2 things: I wiped the sensor end with my finger to remove any wet lint, then I also adjusted the level of the dryer to make sure that water is not running towards the sensor after the pump starts sucking air. Before the dryer would stop after a few minutes. But now it’s working!
Hi Ken. I have a Series 6 with the same issue and was waiting for your final solution video eagerly the last GOT season. After doing all you recommended, I found a sensor (seems a temp sensor) at the left of the lint filter opening. Cleaned it thoroughly and it seems to work properly for several loads. I'm cleaning it after each load and keep recording the results. Cross fingers for this to be the solution!! Thanks for your great video series, it was inspiring for solving this issue.
Hi! Everyone, I had the same problem and it was the pump for the moisture plus cleaning the heat exchange that was the issue. Once that was cleaned and the pump changed I have no more problems!
For information, the pump is accessed behind in the bottom. The service technician removed it and vacuumed inside to get rid of excess water and stuff before exchanging it
I liked your videos, even you didn't find out the problem. 2 years ago I cleaned the sump and I solved my problem. Now It hapens again. I cleaned again but didn't work this time. I cleaned again and same. I wathched your videos, same :) I wathched several videos. Checked the main board, the result nothing. I cleaned the think which collect the wools. Suddenly I saw the front grid which first air inflow. Just %30 holes were open. I cleaned and It's done. I checked your videos and I couldn't see yours is open or not. I believe, you will find out on the fourth video. Greetings from Turkiye.
Probably next thing to do is PCV control board check and replacement but It's very expensive and not sure it fixes. Ours still stops a bit but just bearable.
@@kensuzuki9319 Hello, I appreciate your efforts, I have the same machine, the same problems, I think this problem is software related. When I turned on the machine and tried it, I noticed that the water pump was activated when I first started the machine, but then it did not work. For this reason, water accumulates where the pump is and the level sensor gives an error. I think the only solution is to drill a hole there and disable the pump. For this, the machine must be at a height.
@@orhaneren1070 this idea is challenging,i have a samsung heat pump dryer with same problem as ken, this journey is quite making tired but its worth to keep trying😊
Same issue overhere, I also suspect the pomp for moisture, because after I restart the dryer it suddenly pumps water and then finishes the entire program without stopping
Yes, when restart the dryer it activates the pump isn't it. Mine stops when the dryer is at a beginning of the cycle. One theory is due to pressure inside gone too much, but not sure.
Thanks for these videos Ken, I have been having the same issue. I openend and cleaned the dryer but without success. My opinion is that the control module is broken as BADWAYTHOMAS says. The control module contains internal capacitors that may have deteriorated causing this problem. I will buy a new dryer.
I had the same problem . I fixed it by replacing some parts of the main controller of the dryer and a temperature sensor. It cost me 186 euros in a local electronic repair store.
I eventually fixed mine by resoldering the joints on the main relay on the control board. I had the same stopping issues you did and then eventually one day the whole unit refused to start. I googled the error code and apparently it is common for the relay joints to crack and then start to arc. Eventually it burns a big enough hole that the relay no longer works. I guess if the solder joints are cracked then there isn't full power to the motor, which means the clothes aren't drying as well and so the dryer keeps thinking there is something wrong with the heat exchanger loops. I'd suggest taking the main control board out and taking a look at the solder joints and also cleaning all of the contacts where the wires plug on to the board. Good luck!!
Hi Ken, does the dryer still show the Check Drain error? Mine was, because of lint buildup at the pump and water level sensor. I fixed that on mine by installing a filter inside the drain pump tub. That was about 4 months ago,and no Check Drain since then. I still get lint buildup but not around the pump now. The filter is just a cut piece of 3M green scrubbing pad wedged between the 2 vertical blocks on either side of the tub. To stabilize the filter, I actually cut down the frame of a Roomba 800 series filter. It works without the frame but it sags and needs attention to keep working. Also I removed as much grit from the scrubbing pad as possible by crushing and rinsing it many times. Also tested the 3M pad for heat stability in an oven and with a torch. Newer Bosch design adds a filter before the heat exchanger.
@@TheNaught1 I think mine is for heat exchanger clogged lamp showing error that stops. That was very interesting idea and you build another filter around pump to stop the cause. Thank you for your comment.
Hi Ken, I have a similar problem. I thought it was the pump and bought a new one. Nothing changed. I have to let the machine cool before i can start it again, otherwise it will stop within 1 min. My thinking is that when the dryer is hot, the pump does not run properly or at all, causing the water level to rise and trigger the dryer to stop. If I re-start my hot dryer, i do not hear the pump activate and it quickly shuts the dryer off (1 min). If i let it cool, the pump runs and the dryer goes for another 15 mins.
Interesting point. I think the most dryer has a heart sensor at the back of the dryer, maybe change that? It looks wired so I didn't touch. Next thing to do would be replacing the PCB board but it's expensive and I am still thinking. Mine still stops at the beginning of the cycle but most of the time just by once. Thank you for the comment.
I guess that maybe the normal function of your machine. If I understand your note correctly that your machine starts to sound when 1 min left of drying cycle. Is this correct statement?
That's what it happened to me as shown in the video. I am not sure why it happens but for that I have to look at PCV panel next for any soldering crack.
Ken. Thanks for these videos. We’ve been having the same issues. Have cleaned and replaced everything. Do you know, is there a thermostat or thermistor on the unit that could be part of the problem?
I have had this problem for years! I remember your first video about this dryer. I have tried everything too. I think I may have found another issue. I discovered a series of video's mentioning the dreaded F03 code! Slightly newer models use "Cleaning Required" in its place. I have deep cleaned my sump pump, and cleared the drain line. It seems to help. I am considering running the external condensation drain line down into a container, that I can see, to make constantly sure it is draining completely. I will list the video that I found most helpful. Some of the comments there were also helpful. Good luck, and God's speed. ruclips.net/video/7q-2zAiBFyw/видео.htmlsi=Z7pHMD-bkHXSjzOY

Yes, I noticed that as well, but I'm not sure why it happens like that. It must be programmed like that the pump activates every time the machine starts, however, still it doesn't explain why the machine stops when too much moisture is inside or at the beginning of the cycle. I replaced the moisture sensor but didn't help.
