    Good video! When you pulled the wires off of 1, 2 & 4 the engine sounds like an old John Deere 2 cylinder farm tractor. . I guess that makes sense since #3 isnt doing jack.

    dont disconnect the injector connector during engine running. you damage the ecu.. read the correct procdure...

    i will take my injectors for cleaning and servicing i have packed the hilux for almst 2 month jst heat the engine once in 3 days hope it wrks out well thanks for the vid i like will give u feed back

      still jamil i happen to take the injectors for service and wea totally fine now i remain with the power loss when moving up hill done know if its the clutch pressure and clutch plate that needs to be rplaced hopefull

    Hiii sir I have Toyota diesel car it's smokes when I put out my oil cap and dip Strick. Then I changed my car pistons ring with a new original Toyota product and head gasket. After fix it up I saw the smoke is come from oil cap. What to do next to fix it that????

    I had the same problem with injector no 1. When i disconected the cable from injectoe 1 nothing happened. I bought a compression kit for diesel engines for 45 $. When I did the compression I had 19 bar, 29 bar, 29, bar, 28.5 bar. I took out injector no1 and I found out that the firing washers seals was burned. I changed the seal and I read this time 29 bar on cilinder one so the piston and the segments on ciliner 1 was not affected. because of the compression that escaped from cilinder 1 on the oil cap I had a lot of smoke comming out. Also the compression raised the injector from his seat so the screw from cilinder 1 was longer with 4 milimeters and thiner in the middle. So I had to buy four for 2 $ each from the dealer. Techstream showed the compensation 5.5, 4.6, 5.0, 5.0 because it analises the data electronicaly not from hardware point of view. After I changed the firing copper seal from cilinder 1 techstream and I kept the injectors in oli WD40 for 1 day it showed 0.3,0.7,,2.0,2.0 so the patameters were right to drive. This is because a 2$ washer seal. Now I have the car working and I have the compresion Kt .

      Thank very much Luis Marculescu. Your comment is a great contribution. That time I did an injector cleaning and it worked for me, so I think that time the problem was just a lack of cleaning. But now, two years after, the problem is coming back again, but this time I think the engine has a very little oil consumption and there is smoke again when engine is cold started and is worst when car is parked downhill, so it can be due to a bad copper seal washer as happened with you. I will take note of your comment, because I was planning to replace injector nozzles, but if the problem is only the washer seal it will be cheaper and faster...

      Just take a compression kit and establish your compression in the cylinders. Where the compression is lower there is something wrong with the seal, segments or piston. Pay attention to mount the injector using ceramic Vaseline that resist at 1600Celsius. Otherwise you will not be able to extract your injector next time you need. If you put oil or common Vaseline on the O-Rings you are done next time. Pay attention that the new copper washer seal that you are to mount has to be heated on the flame until red to make it soft before you lay it on the injector seat . Do not put water to cool it just leave it for 2 minutes to cool down. This is a little trick you have to know. It is advisable to buy new injector screws, orings and washer seals when you clean the injectors. After you mount the injectors perform again the compression test to see if the injectors stay well on the seals. if the compression is between 21-30 bars per cylinder is OK. The pressure between cylinders should not be more than 1 bar. If is more try to put more ceramic Vaseline on the washers seal so the compression will not escape. You should use a dinamometric key(this is how we call it in Europe). In fact this is compulsory because if you do not use it you do not know how much to tighten and you loose compression. When you tighten the screw the first time you should use 31 N/m. if you take out the injector to apply more Vaseline you should use the second time 37 N/m. Do not start the engine until you have your compression test done or you will need new copper seals in case you loose compression on one of the cylinders because you either did not use a dinamometric key or did not applied enough ceramic Vaseline on the seals and O-rings. Make sure you have the right compression in the cylinders so is worth investing 45 $ for a compression tester. Pay attention to put ceramic Vaseline on the incandescent sparks when you take them out in order to test compression. After all those operations you can buy a a mini-vci cable that comes with a CD copy of Techstream software(18 $ on Amazon)and you can see the compensation on each injector and other sensor readings. Hope this help a lot of Toyota owners.

      Hi Luis. Thanks for your details and tips explaning the procedure to replace the washers and o-rings. I had and installation guide from baileysdiesel.com, which I was going to use if I were had to replace injectors the first time, but that time the injector cleaning was enough. They used molykote rubber grease and you say ceramic vaseline, I supose it is almost the same product, just to lubricate o-ring and keep the copper washer in position when the injector is being installed again. The dinamometer is the torque wrench here in America, I had one of 150 lb.ft. I also have all the copper washers, o-rings, valve cover plug seals for the fuel lines, I was bought everithing at the Dealer the first time. I have a small ultrasonic cleaner to clean the injectors after remove them, I believe that you used wd-40 in this part, that is also a great cleaner. And of course, I also expect that this comments can help a lot of toyota owners that have the same problem. Ok, Luis, thanks again for your comments and tips. Best Regards...!!!

      Buen día. Cada cable debe tener su identificación en el aislamiento, ya sea un código alfanumérico o por un código de color de la chaqueta del cable. De lo contrario, entonces hay que rastrearlo desde la computadora hasta el inyector apoyándose con el diagrama de cableado de inyección.

    Awesome video, after watching this I unplugged each connector and my engine went off for disconnecting every single plug. Are all my injectors bad? Is there a problem along the fuel system?

      If it went off after that it means your nozzles are good

      Hola. Difilcente agarran aire, pero si fuera el caso, solo sángralos. Lo más probable es que sea falta de corriente o falta de combustible, si el motor gira y no enciende.

      Ayush Kumar It may be due to manu causes. First of all try to find where is the sound coming from, then try to find what can be causing the sound. But I think it is better take your engine to the shop or diesel lab. Kind regards.

      Hi. You should replace the injectors seat/seal washer, maybe they are bad and they are leaking oil inside the combustion chamber.

    Yes! I have finally found a video that specifically describes my problem! I have a 1.6 diesel engine and it emits white smoke when starting cold. It goes away after a minute or so. Strong smell, as you've said in your description. I am now convinced that I have a faulty fuel injector. Is there an easier way I could find the faulty injector?

      Hi nandohb1, I think that there isnt an easier way. As I said in my description, you can use Intelligent Tester II or Techstream and execute the cut injection test, another way to check the injectors is removing them and take them to the lab, but you have to buy some seals that get damaged after the works. Another way could be using a temperatura check gun cylinder by cylinder, but for me the best way is unplug the injector, listen to the engine and check the exhaust.

      Try to look at the exhaust and check if it is smoking a lot, check for smoke color to if it is oil or fuel, if oil probably you need to change injectors seal washer, if fuel, probably you need to check your injectors noozles. I think some fluid is leaking during night in the combustion chamber. Or maybe, it is just the oil too heavy and doesn't reach the head quickly and valves are operating with no proper lubrication. Note: Try to clarify "chelle" in your comment.

      Hola. Pueden ser los asientos de los inyectores. Se desgastan, no sellan bien y el aceite se filtra a la cámara de combustión. Cuando apaga el motor el aceite se acumula y luego lo quema cuando enciende, después que el motor se calienta es imperceptible.

    i have the 2kd ftv engine, it is leaking diesel into the oil, where can i check for the leak?

      If fuel in the oil, it is because fuel is at higher presssure than oil in some point where they are close, mainly in the fuel pump. Maybe the fuel pump oil seals are bad.

      @@hectordem08 Hi, thank you for your response, im taking it to a diesel mechanic tomorrow, they told me its either a return line that is cracked or a washer that is leaking, worst case is the pump oil seal that is leaking, i hope its a easy fix

      Tal vez sea tarde la respuesta, pero debes empezar por limpiar los inyectores, mira mis otros vidos. Sí eso no funciona, entonces tienes que sacar los inyectores y reemplaza la arandela de bronce o latón que hace el sello entre el inyector y el cabezote, se escapando compresión por ahí y en la mañana cuando enciendes, el humo blanco es porque está quemando el aceite que liquea al cilindro toda la noche.

    Es una forma muy mala de probar estos inyectores ,ya que cuando desconectas uno el otro que está en el mismo plano también falla ,es decir si desconectas el uno también el cuatro falla.

      El problema estaba en el inyector 3, por eso el título del video. Cuando desconectas el inyector que tiene el problema, el sonido del motor no cambia, cuando desconectas un inyector sano, el sonido cambia. Eso te indica cuál inyector está mal. No es malo, es preciso.
