Scratch Art: Paul Klee

Paul Klee was a Swiss-born German artist and is one of the most famous painters of the twentieth century. Klee made all kinds of lines in his work. Some of them look as though they were scratched out of the paint itself! In this video, Dr Mulvenna shows you how to make similar kinds of marks by scratching lines out of painted-covered wax. This is called ‘scratch art’, or crayon etching, and it’s very simple to do!
