"He cheated on her, so he deserved it." "He should've known women get very emotional at times." "Next time, he'll think twice about contacting his ex." "She didn't hit him that hard so it doesn't really count." "Men can take that kind of abuse, so it's okay." "He shouldn't have ignored her."
My favorite part is where Ice T is helping me understand how to treat women. I also like they lyrics from his big hit "6'n the mornin" where he says: "As we walked over there ho continued to speak, so we beat the bitch down in the god damn street...." Hollywood's hypocrisy is unbelievable......
Why is it that these types of commercials they always paint males as the aggressors and females as the victims? Why not stand against abuse of both genders?
gamersxs because over privileged white male , women usually are the victims there’s also another video on this for men if you’d want to see that before speaking shit.
wow...ignoring 50% of domestiv violence because it doesnt goes well with the "female victim, male agressor" narative....god damn it..this is a sexist and misandric PSA
Yeah, like you said. Also, it's a 1/2 step from the group-think promoted here, to: -"No more 'there are two side to every story'" -"No more 'innocent until proven guilty'"
Remember men, you're all animals and you need to be trained. Next time you think about committing a crime, attacking a person, or giving a person rabies, allow the nearest woman to hit you with a rolled up newspaper and tell you "NO. BAD DOG."
***** Her context had sarcasm written on it. People, many of them, in this country have trouble reading within context. Some people read words, just words, instead of the message within the context.
Indy Syder HE is a troll. Jenny is always trolling on forums trying his hardest to start up hatred towards feminists. He looks for these kinds of videos to stir up hate.
They aren't. This is just a PSA directed towards women victims. You can read more about the program at nomore.org to see this is for BOTH men and women who are abused and assaulted.
MaKayla Burns women also commit abuse, women also commit sex crimes. it doesn't matter if statistically men commit them more. it should be prosecuted regardless of who does it. The problem with this PSA is by it vilifying all males and not calling out females the only affect this will have is to make male apathetic towards these issues.
I do not see where you are getting that this campaign is blamin mn solely. There are some notable things said that have been given to neither gender. This campaign is supposed to bring awareness to a plight on our society. I agree with you that there is a ouble standard in this area when concerning men and women; (I, myself have seen a few instances on TV). Which is why it needs to be discussed, to address that issue someone or something has to get people to start talking about this topic. Have you noticed that most people try to avoid it?
magicskin *Everyone has to matter, or nobody matters. Or else everyone loses faith. That's when you get vigilantes.* So by women saying male victims don't matter they are creating the animosity towards women in general
weiberfeind I completely understand that women commit abuse as well. I'm not saying they don't. This PSA simply focuses on the women as victims by giving the most common excuses as to why this is always avoided and never talked about. But this campaign is no means leaving out male victims. This video just doesn't highlight that.
Yes, maybe some of these celebrities have had movies or shows in the past that are demeaning, but their characters on TV aren't who they really are. These people are a part of a movement for an issue that has been kept silenced for way too long. Why are you so against it? Domestic violence and sexual assault is a big deal, and how else is this message going to spread if they aren't spreading it? I don't see you standing up for it. And I'm just going to point out that Mariska Hargitay is the founder of the Joyful Heart Foundation and this campaign and is in no way deserving of this hateful criticism because she is doing something so positive that no one has ever attempted to do.
MaKayla Burns It's just her way of clearing her conscience. A lot of these actors do something similar. Many of these actors on here are from Law and Order Special Victims Unit. You know, the one where they fill your head full of wonderful plots and images. And these people here are actors. They are acting right on this video. Besides that, Non Profit Organizations and Foundations bring in tons of money. So don't go fooling yourself. It is disingenuous and disrespectful that they would be so bold as to appear on a video like this trying to hoodwink America. Maybe if they apologized for being on such an evil twisted smut show meant to program the citizens in exactly the opposite way than this PSA is pretending to, then I might have a sliver of thought that would believe that this is genuine. Next. This is completely one sided and Misandrist. I would never want my kids to hear or see this message. Finally, the message is either so poorly written or. more than likely intentionally written to get the exact opposite response you seem to think they are going for. I am betting on the second option. You have no idea what I do or don't do. Maybe you should ask what you are doing to help the "cause" which you are defending. Are you active? Are you standing up for everyone impacted? Are you just standing up for one sex that is impacted? Do you work in the field helping people? Are you going door to door to create awareness? What is it you are doing? Are you relying on fake idols our society falsely calls "Stars" to get eh message out that you so dearly care about and that is a real problem in your eyes? If you are actively doing something that means you have more validity than every actor on this PSA put together.
Shane Aric She has nothing to clear her conscience for. You don't even have any idea what you're talking about. Yes, many are from SVU, and that's because Mariska started this, and they all support her and this movement. This video, yes, is one-sided. However, the entire organization and movement overall is not. If you go to the website, you'll find that out. And you'll also see how much work Mariska and her advisers put into this. And actually, yes, I am active. I support this POSITIVE movement for one thing. And I help spread this important information as well. I will also be donating to the Joyful Heart Foundation. And I will be going into criminal justice and working with victims of sex crimes. These actors that are involved in the movement with these PSAs are not the ones who travel around the United States and put on conferences, discussing these topics. Mariska and her advisers do that. I will agree that not everyone in this does as much as her, but you can not say that everyone is doing this just to supposedly "clear their consciences".
MaKayla Burns I didn't say that. You projected onto my words. And I find it very sad that you can't seem to see my point with relation to the content of the show she is apart of and the conflict between that and this. The only way she/they could be more misguided is if they were actually out Mass Raping 5 days a week and then doing this PSA. Spreading smut propaganda as a way of life to the masses, and then doing an accusational PSA to the contrary, is very disingenuous. Has she or anyone on this PSA apologized for their complete lapse of thinking when it came to taking an acting job which promotes violence, desensitizes the masses to this exact type of violence, and gives a phd tutorial to those who would, now or in the future, commit this type of violence. Of course based upon the fact that they have been desensitized to it? Don't you see the mountains of hypocrisy here? do you think it is a game? Do you believe the Television is a harmless entertainment device or one of programming. Which is what they call every show, a program. They also call them "Shows" which means they are showing. Are you starting to get the main point of my messages? If it is sinking in then address it. You, being someone who donates and is going into the field. I would think that this aspect of my descent would hit you hard between the eyes. I would think that if you are sincere, you would take this issue to heart and take my side. Especially if you want to take steps towards ending this cycle. Does this PSA do anything or send any message to some of the root causes of DV or Rape? And Rape of course being something that only a man can commit, a sentiment which has been wildly popular over the decades. Where is the messaging ever on target? Where in this message does it get to the heart of any of the matter? Where is the starting place to help prevent this in the future. Where is the research about the origins? There is non of this. Only a few celebs pointing fingers at the citizens, but mostly the male citizens. It is obviously written to backfire. There is not one genuine comment within the PSA it is all memes, cliches and acting. Acting. And more acting. So much so that it is completely unbelievable. None of these people seem to have any real feelings on the subject matter whatsoever. If they did it would show.
Geoff Stanson You realize you are talking to a vegetable right? But if you weren't, and this was a male, then he could easily say it isn't his problem with impunity simply due to the very nature of this ad. Since this ad is only promoting a female victim, then it wouldn't be his problem. If he isn't a rapist then it isn't his problem. And if he isn't a hyper sensitive snitch poking his nose in other peoples business it isn't his problem. And if he doesn't know the nature of something he is witnessing, it's not his problem, or maybe not a problem at all. If he is outright witnessing a pure rape, which is virtually never for 98% of Us citizens, with the laws on the books and the danger of he himself being implicated and detained and possibly arrested just for being a man and on the scene, not his problem. And if he doesn't want to get killed by this attacker not his problem. Most of the things in the video are actually after the fact reactions or before the fact scoldings. So if a woman gets raped then tells him, well she is telling the wrong person maybe she should go to the police, again not his problem. Glad I could be of service. Maybe the problem is actually ads like this which are completely biased and alienating to an entire gender of the population.
Shane Aric Thanks for the lecture attached to the service but it was completely unnecessary. I'm pretty sure it's blatantly clear that my comment should be construed as satire considering how I related an issue our kid-hated friend here would support with bias since it's generally concerned with himself and the well-being of others who are similar, hence why I mentioned veganism.
As an activist myself I want to say "thank you!!" I still hear "she had a part too" when I speak about dv to others. I have heard grown men suggest women ask to be raped!! These commercials need to continue until there's no more!!!
"No More Excuses" should include Schoolyard bullying. No more "ignore them", no more "kids will be kids", no more "it's just a phase", no more "sticks and stones", no more "tough it out". No more. As a former victim, I will fight to end bullying.
"No more 'boys will be boys.'" I've never heard anyone defend a man who hurt a woman with the line "Boys will be boys." I've heard that phrase before, but never as an excuse to hurt someone. "No more 'Why didn't she tell anyone?' " Well, why didn't she tell anyone? If someone hurt you and you need help then you should tell someone. If someone robbed you, would you just not tell anyone and let them get away, and be mad at everyone for it? "No more 'why doesn't she just leave?' " Women should just leave. Women seem to have no problem at all leaving a man that doesn't abuse them. But when a man does abuse a woman, oh then she can't bring herself to leave him. BS. How does any person ever leave an abusive relationship? If you can't leave, then no one would've ever been able to leave their abusive spouse. But people do leave, so obviously leaving is an option, sooooo why doesn't she just fucking leave? "No more 'she should've been more cautious.' " Look, we do not live in a utopia. There are bad people in the world that are willing to do bad things. Everyone has to be cautious for any potential danger. You wouldn't leave your doors open while sleeping at night would you? You wouldn't get on the internet without anti-virus software would you? It's not your fault if someone rapes you, but you should take some precautions when going out with strange people around. "No more 'we don't talk about that.' " Who says that? Again, I've never heard someone say that to a person that opens up about their abuse. How is people being open about their problems going to end all domestic abuse or sexual assault? How is some person telling another person that they were hurt going to prevent some other person from being hurt? I don't think abuse is ever going to stop, and I really don't think that just talking about it is going to stop it either. This "No More" campaign isn't going to do anything. It's just another stupid facile solution put forth by this gynocentric culture. Uggghh.
Are we changing the meaning of yet another word? ANTHEM 1. a song, as of praise, devotion, or patriotism: the national anthem of Spain; our college anthem. 2. a piece of sacred vocal music, usually with words taken from the Scriptures. 3. a hymn sung alternately by different sections of a choir or congregation. verb (used with object) 4. to celebrate with or in an anthem.
This organization is doing amazing work, if you can, please share this to your social media to get the message out. These are subjects that I know FIRST HAND are kept "hush-hush" and NEED to be brought to light! No more denial of the truth...
No more !!! I have been in a Relationship that was very abusive that put me in the hospital/ I was also sexually assaulted I am 19 years old. and still get Nighmares. No one should go through what I went through and it is time we take a stand to domestic violence and sexual abuse !!!
These commercials are so self-righteous. I saw one today with Hillary Swank fake CRYING in front of the camera. How does this affect her in any way, shape, or form?
I'm a feminist but I don't how they reffered to female victims only. Male victims of rape should get the same amount of sympathy and help as any other victim of rape.
costin saceanu yeah, misandric is more accurate. Misandry is sexist, not overtly but is derivative of beliefs which are sexist. Like with racism, saying "i'm not racist but I believe in segregation" lol. peace
Being assaulted, and being aware of rape culture, can make you start to feel like it's men against women, and that men have all the power. Seeing this video made me feel like it's actually ~criminals~ against victims and their loved ones, and that powerful men and women are on my side. It was tremendously comforting, and I am grateful that it was made.
One of the biggest things I learned in a women's studies class was that in society, girls and women are taught 'don't get raped' instead people just being taught 'don't rape'. Although I do understand the absence of the male victims perspective, this is one of the more powerful stances about domestic violence and sexual assault. And if people could actually see past the 'feminism' - which isn't actually feminism but just basic human rights - they'd see why this act is so important to everyone.
!? These PSA are supposed to be about the new No More symbol to end ALL domestic violence and sexual assault. DV and SA happens to men a lot. How much more unfair can these videos be when they fail to give clear reference to men being victims, too!
because its prejudicial. I understand that the person they are thinking of when making this commercial is the women getting knocked senseless by a loser male douchebag, however I know many guys who's wives/girlfriends are contentious bitches and they yell and scream and get up in the guys face, and they guy pushes her away. And then he goes to jail. For women that want justice, they usually get it. But in this specific genre of justice, the opposite is not true. Men are men and are considered effeminate losers for complaining, which is the same bigotry being portrayed in this video. "Speak up", unless you are male, in which case they should grow a sack because apparantly men do not suffer from domestic abuse. considering these types pander to political correctness, there was a distinct lack of "his or her" which according to their own metric seems sexist. I realize this seems pointed, but I am not angry. I hope I made my position clear. Take care
They aren't. They have a huge pledge on the website if you want to check it out. This is taken from it: "Pledge To: 1.Learn about these issues and talk openly about them. Sexual assault and abuse doesn’t just happen to women. Boys and men are victims too. 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men are sexually abused or assaulted before the age of 18. Say “NO MORE” to violence experienced by both genders. Display the NO MORE symbol to bring attention to ending domestic violence and sexual assault." nomore.org
MaKayla Burns That's what I said, but no matter what is true... all some are going to see is what they call male hating feminist. I agree that I wish the videos were more equal, but I know why they aren't... it's a shame :-( "We're never going to fix it" and "not in this family" are of course unisex statements...
Funny, I didnt hear a single mention of "no more HE deserved it" in this video. Listen to every single statement, 90 percent of them imply "her" as a victim or "him" as the perpetrator, the rest are just non-gendered.
Thank you. Thank you for this entire campaign. I cry every time they come on. It helps to know I'm not alone and even such big stars recognize the issue.
These Stars promote the Desensitization of the very issue they are speaking against in this commercial. If anything you should be angry at them. It saddens me that you approve of this video. But If it brings comfort, it brings comfort. And I am happy for that. I would never want my kids to see or hear this commercial, no matter the gender. And you are definitely not alone.
LOL NO MORE "But I love him" NO MORE "He didn't mean to hit me" NO MORE "It was my fault" NO MORE "I'm gonna call the cops when he hits me, and when they get here I'll tell 'em I don't want to press charges" NO MORE "The nation will see my fiance lay me the fuck out, but I married him anyway, now I'm mad at the NFL for suspending my husband for that hit" Come the fuck on. If the public sees a guy hit a girl, then the guy will have a dozen other guys willing to knock him the fuck out. Who will save him??? The girl he hit. Yes domestic violence is a serious thing. But this commercial pisses me off because it acts like the public is "cool" with men hitting women.
Baba Booey Only if they are willing to get hit back. I actually got into a discussion at my work (after I pretty much said what I said here) and the older fella I was talking with was all "no matter what, you don't hit a woman". He stood pretty firm about that until I said "don't hit, and not expect to get hit back" and he shook his head in agreement. This commercial pisses me off because it's simply the NFL saying "we fucked this (the Ray Rice hit on his fiance) up REAL FUCKING BAD, and this is our answer to it." I've NEVER seen, or heard of a woman getting physically abused, and everybody around saying "boys will be boys" or "it's not my problem". Like I said earlier, if a guy hits a woman in public, he'll have 20 guys ready to beat his ass. They won't look the other way, like this BULLSHIT commercial implies.
***** I know...but since the Ray Rice thing, they've been on a whole helluva lot more. And still, the whole point of the commercial, I don't agree with it....at all. I've never seen a guy beat on his girl, and me and everyone around me say "bitch prolly deserved it". I've personally encountered two such events, one at my bar, one on the golf course. At my bar I had to keep 3 dudes from beating the guys ass, while she said "please stop, I fell outta my chair it's OK". The golf course is a long story, but yes, 2 guys were ready to beat a teenagers ass for shaking his girl.
***** True, but don't say "the public" doesn't care, when 95% of the time, the girl defends the guy that hit her. Like I said earlier, there are plenty of cases where a guy mistreats a girl, and when a half dozen dudes are ready to beat the shit outta him, he is saved.....by the girl he hit. JUST LIKE THE RAY RICE CASE. I find it HILARIOUS that his fiance (now wife) is pissed at the NFL for punishing her husband for the season after the tape leaked. NO MORE!!!! LOL
Someone should tell these (I'm sure, very educated ACTORS) that it's almost an even split between who beats on whom. Women are just as vicious as men. No more. *eye roll*
“No more I wasn’t paying enough attention to him so I sobbed in the bathroom at the club because I knew he was going to beat me when we got home but I was too embarrassed to tell my friends at the time” watching videos like this gave me strength so f%#% you anyone hating
"No more he must have been cheating." "No more he deserved it." "No more MAN UP and just deal with it." "No more he's a man so he can take it." "No more men aren't supposed to tell." "No more you're a punk for letting your woman beat you up." "No more he's a man so he must have wanted it." "No more it' just 2% percent like a gallon of milk." "No more you go girl." I sure didn't hear that in this PSA since it's only men who do the beating and abusing while women are always innocent.
No more taking time to understand the situation before rushing to conclusions. No more wanting proof that the guy is evil before assuming it completely off one girl's word. No more skepticism. No more disbelieving women about anything even if they've lied before.
And, as a side note, I don't blame all men, nor do I excuse any woman who participates in DV or sexual assault of any type. I put the blame directly where it lies...with each individual who commits any act of violence against another human being.
All of these people who are mocking this and criticizing this make me sick. I know people who were raped and as a matter of fact, my grandfather is in an unhealthy relationship because his wife abuses him. Men can be and are victims, but I'm not crying over the fact that this one PSA doesn't touch on male victims because the whole No More movement does. This PSA is simply about bringing these issues into the light, to get people to talk about them, and to be aware that people are sexually and domestically abused every day, and there needs to be an end. So, I say no more ignorance. Why can't we please just once join together to make a difference? Why must we find and on the flaws in every good thing?
People that say this is sexist, go to :26 NO MORE SHE WAS DRUNK!! It is not sexist and obviously you didn't see Mariska on the Katie Couric show! She said it does not just happen to women but men get abused too.
She was drunk is still a reference to men taking advantage. That is the clear angle. And the Katie Couric show is not apart of this video. So it is a non point.
"No more it's just a woman's issue" is also a part of No More. I'm sorry you are in so much pain that you are unable to see that this campaign is a positive thing. I hope you are able to heal.
It is, which is why the PSAs should have also included something about male victims, like""No more not acknowledging that there are male victims, too". And that Katie Couric show was NOT about informing and sheding light on the true face of violence/abuse, which includes male victims--instead it was all about female victims and male perpetrators.
Raise you hands if you know women who only chase after guys who treat them badly? Yeah, we know they do. The "Bad Boys". The simple truth is that many women choose men who treat them badly because they know the guy will defend the "nest", (his family) even more. MANY women want guys to mistreat them as a sign they will not collapse if someone external mistreats her or her kids. Many women give guys sh*t just to get them to react. AND YOU KNOW IT. So drop your little whimpy flags and admit that the guys who treat women badly get laid more often. Mainly because the woman knows he cares enough to react and it proves he will take care of her and any children they have. AND YOU KNOW IT! Few are the women who want a guy to hide behind the women when someone is "mean." More often they want the man to take the bullet meant for them. ... Once again, raise your hand if you KNOW that the bad guys get laid more than the good guys do. Yeah. You know it.
What a fantastic campaign by all those involved. I would love if it we could start a #NoMore campaign in Australia. It's still flabbergasting to me that victims are blamed and that society doesn't want to talk about these issues. Domestic violence is destroying our society. I strongly believe education and raising the status of women in the world will help.
another problem with this PSA is it ignores that criminals by definition don't care about your rights. Do you honestly think a rapist will watch this and change her mind?
Guarantee all you people making those ridiculous comments have never been raped or assaulted by your loved ones. It's not okay to ever lay your hands on another person! Mariska Hargitay started the joyful heart foundation after she learned what goes on with this kind of stuff from the show svu. What they are doing is amazing. 🇳🇴 🇲🇴🇷🇪❗❗
well you should have gotten to know him more. What about the 95% of women that manipulate men and use us to get whatever they want. men are being raped also when a women bitches and messes with a mans mind.
Did you even think before you responded to this comment? First of all it sometimes takes years before the abuse actually starts. And having your mind played with is nothing compared to being raped. Just stop talking please your killing me with your stupidity
Yes , indeed and I think No More is geting enough private and public concerns about this that I am hoping their PSAs will add male victim references because some of us are not going to let them off the hook until they do.
Totally agree. Women have been largely ignored throughout history when it comes to violence(and so many other things) and and as soon as we start speaking up about it men seem to want to shut it down or complain they are being left out. If the people commenting here were really serious about helping to put an end to domestic violence and sexual assault they would have more productive and intelligent things to say!
Only just found this video. While it is a little disappointing that there is no specific reference made to men who experience DV in the clip if you look at the website and posters it does feature in the campaign. Just thought I would point that out given all the comments already posted.
I wish people would stop complaining about this being gender specific. This campaign just HAPPENS to be about women. Should there be more male focused campaigns? Yes, I agree 100%. But don't bash on this one just because it's not, it's still a fantastic video for a GREAT cause. Personally, I am VERY PROUD to be apart of an organization that is women focused when it comes to Domestic Violence. Women helping women! AXΩ!
I agree with most of the comments on here. Women are NOT the only victims and men are NOT the only predator. My friends are in an extremely violent relationship and the fighting is not always started by the man. My girlfriend is usually the first one to lay her hands on him. He would not defend himself because "boys don't hit girls", until she stabbed his hand aiming for his heart. I don't know why they are still together, but I know she is not the victim. I knew her longer than him.
ON GOD I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF RAPE ROBBERY AND MOLESTION THANK U FOR THIS STARS NEED TO DONATE AND HELP SURVIVORS OF ABUSE RAPE KITS SHOULDNT TAKE YEARS TO COME TO LIGHT NO MORE GOT DAMN IT WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO BREATH AND WALK AND DO AND WEAR WHAT WE WANT WITHOUT BEING TREATED LIKE ANIMALS TAKE A STAND FOR MORE THEN WHAT U STAND FOR PLZ PEOPLE 😭😭😭😭😡😟😞😞🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽👏💯
The reason this PSA seems to be one-sided or sexist is because society spends most of the time focusing on blaming/shaming female victims. NO MORE is about shifting blaming/shaming from the VICTIMS (male or female) to the PERPETRATORS (male or female). This is why NO MORE says "NO MORE 'It's just a women's issue,'."
Generally it's going towards men, but women also have a part in it but mostly men are at the hands of domestic violence and abuse you rarely see women do this type of thing I love this commercial and should be aired more everywhere.
I'd like to know who made this? In 2009 I was kidnapped and tortured by ex-boyfriend-- stating he was killing me. I worked with a studio to produce a short documentary with crime scene photos, 911 calls, and interviews, so the viewer is literally walking in my shoes as it happens. Its interesting that after I showed my film to a friend (Kelly) (2012) who works in this industry, this campaign was done. The end of my film has a portion of my courtroom sentencing speech ending with what it took for me to come forward "Someone has to stand up and say no more". There was no intention of gender separation, but we do need tougher laws, and more education. I have no idea if there is a link between my film and this campaign, but I will stand by "No More".
This video is informative, but only one sided. Women being sexually assaulted is, has been, and will continue to be a discussion... But the things we aren't discussing is the fact that it happens to men. As much as it happens to women, and maybe a campaign for that should be started. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying don't do anything for women... But let's help our men as well.
No more " I get paid to act like I care." Everything they said was right! But no one said it until it was produced. Awesome initiative; F minus on the personal follow through. No more Madison Avenue!
No more excuses for blaming men. No more excuses for not protecting men. No more silence over the number of men and children being hurt. No more silence about female abusers. No more silence over the underlying acceptance - and even humour - about female on male violence. No more violence by anyone, on anyone.

My favorite part is where Ice T is helping me understand how to treat women. I also like they lyrics from his big hit "6'n the mornin" where he says:
"As we walked over there ho continued to speak, so we beat the bitch down in the god damn street...." Hollywood's hypocrisy is unbelievable......
Also, it's a 1/2 step from the group-think promoted here, to:
-"No more 'there are two side to every story'"
-"No more 'innocent until proven guilty'"
It's clearly a women's campaign 😂
Natalie Ryan Because they don't care about men.
No more "he had it coming", no more "he deserved it" , no more "he shouldn't of called her that", "he shouldn't of cheated on her"
No more "he must have done something to set her off".
No more “he should’ve defended himself”. No more “he was asking for it”
No more "it's only men who do it"?
Remember men, you're all animals and you need to be trained. Next time you think about committing a crime, attacking a person, or giving a person rabies, allow the nearest woman to hit you with a rolled up newspaper and tell you "NO. BAD DOG."
Hahahahaha! I actually can't tell if you are serious or not!
Matt Vaughn She was being sarcastic. That was a shot at the ad, not men as a gender.
***** Her context had sarcasm written on it. People, many of them, in this country have trouble reading within context. Some people read words, just words, instead of the message within the context.

Dannymartialarts Thanks for warning me about him/her. While I have a dislike of feminists, the point should not be to troll or stir up trouble.
No more "The gentleman pays."

No more blaming only men for domestic abuse and sex crimes.
That's when you get vigilantes.*
So by women saying male victims don't matter they are creating the animosity towards women in general
weiberfeind I completely understand that women commit abuse as well. I'm not saying they don't. This PSA simply focuses on the women as victims by giving the most common excuses as to why this is always avoided and never talked about. But this campaign is no means leaving out male victims. This video just doesn't highlight that.
pretty sexist commercial as well LOL
No more celebrities acting like the moral justice system. If you need a "celebrity" to tell you that this shit is wrong then you way gone by now.
While at the same time they push the desensitization of the very same subject matter on the shows they act in.
"You know what's beautiful? I used to make 5 grand in 20 minutes on the street"
the only way to ever stop the violence-circle would be :
NO MORE lies.
NO MORE feminism.
NO MORE ignorance.
I thought this was gonna be a parody, "No more "PSA" campaigns" I leave disappointed
And a song. "Anthem".
What about the men that get abused by their wives
I can't wait to see a 'No More Male Circumcision' PSA campaign. April 1st is my favorite holiday.
Not my problem.
Way to pacify you're responsibilities, Broccoli! I'm sure if this was a PSA for veganism you'd be all for it! Double-standards at its finest...pitiful
Shane Aric
Thanks for the lecture attached to the service but it was completely unnecessary. I'm pretty sure it's blatantly clear that my comment should be construed as satire considering how I related an issue our kid-hated friend here would support with bias since it's generally concerned with himself and the well-being of others who are similar, hence why I mentioned veganism.
Geoff Stanson haha. I was on a posting binge. Peace.
Go live in a hole
Uggghh.
Thank you for posting this video.
Are we changing the meaning of yet another word?
ANTHEM
1. a song, as of praise, devotion, or patriotism:
the national anthem of Spain; our college anthem.
2. a piece of sacred vocal music, usually with words taken from the Scriptures.
3. a hymn sung alternately by different sections of a choir or congregation.
verb (used with object)
4. to celebrate with or in an anthem.
This organization is doing amazing work, if you can, please share this to your social media to get the message out. These are subjects that I know FIRST HAND are kept "hush-hush" and NEED to be brought to light! No more denial of the truth...
There is a lot of denial in this video.
Find a bag of male chickens to suck.
No more !!! I have been in a Relationship that was very abusive that put me in the hospital/ I was also sexually assaulted I am 19 years old. and still get Nighmares. No one should go through what I went through and it is time we take a stand to domestic violence and sexual abuse !!!
NO MORE excuses.
NO MORE silence.
NO MORE violence.
it would be nice if they also mentioned male domestic violence and sexual assault victims..
"no more she slipped on an afghan and banged her head off of a pencil sharpener" - Bill Burr
this video is overtly sexist, however this is palatable these days.
actually is not..its misandric and false
costin saceanu yeah, misandric is more accurate. Misandry is sexist, not overtly but is derivative of beliefs which are sexist. Like with racism, saying "i'm not racist but I believe in segregation" lol.
peace
costin saceanu how is this misandric or false
Palazzio Farsider-Slider It only mentions female victims.
I thought the title was implying "No more PSA's bombardment"
I was like wooowww.
*****
Me too! I thought this would be a funny and intelligent commentary on the government telling us what is right and wrong.
lol
Being assaulted, and being aware of rape culture, can make you start to feel like it's men against women, and that men have all the power. Seeing this video made me feel like it's actually ~criminals~ against victims and their loved ones, and that powerful men and women are on my side. It was tremendously comforting, and I am grateful that it was made.
Its so true, we all should help eachother instead of being scared to get involved. Be the help that helps someone escape.
Most sexist ad I've ever seen.
What good does it do to tell criminals not to do bad things? It's already against the law.
Are you really this dumb?
!? These PSA are supposed to be about the new No More symbol to end ALL domestic violence and sexual assault. DV and SA happens to men a lot. How much more unfair can these videos be when they fail to give clear reference to men being victims, too!
wonder how much they got paid ?
kseries1981 they probably didn’t that’s not Mariska’s style
It’s not about the money. It’s about spreading the message out to people.
How could people click the dislike button on this?
That was my thought as well. Baffling.
As good as it is, its not the best. It is gender based and rape has nothing to do with gender.
Wouldn't be surprised if some of the dislike are from sickos that are abusers
Kris Hannah are you fucking kidding me?! look at the statistics and tell me "rape has nothing to do with gender".
because its prejudicial.
Take care
No more ignoring male victims please.
They aren't. They have a huge pledge on the website if you want to check it out. This is taken from it:
"Pledge To:
1.Learn about these issues and talk openly about them.
NO MORE OF THESE ADS. NO MORE!!! - Jim Belushi (The Principal)
Thank you. Thank you for this entire campaign. I cry every time they come on. It helps to know I'm not alone and even such big stars recognize the issue.
I am a survivor and I stand up and say, NO MORE.
LOL
NO MORE "But I love him"
NO MORE "He didn't mean to hit me"
NO MORE "It was my fault"
NO MORE "I'm gonna call the cops when he hits me, and when they get here I'll tell 'em I don't want to press charges"
NO MORE "The nation will see my fiance lay me the fuck out, but I married him anyway, now I'm mad at the NFL for suspending my husband for that hit"
Come the fuck on. If the public sees a guy hit a girl, then the guy will have a dozen other guys willing to knock him the fuck out. Who will save him??? The girl he hit.
Yes domestic violence is a serious thing. But this commercial pisses me off because it acts like the public is "cool" with men hitting women.
What about women hitting men? Are you okay with that?
Sahadi420 Touché. :)
NO MORE!!!! LOL
No more washed up celebs thinking they're saying something right but in reality there desperately trying to stay relevant. No more.
Someone should tell these (I'm sure, very educated ACTORS) that it's almost an even split between who beats on whom. Women are just as vicious as men. No more. *eye roll*
I'm down with all of that! No more violence, no more excuses, no more drinking. No more.
Just saw this commercial on USA Network. I think it was amazing how they used the cast of SVU to send this message!
Why? The very cast of SVU are the actors who are desensitizing this very topic.
I'm glad they don't play these anymore. Every time I seen one I wanted to scratch my eyes out.
“No more I wasn’t paying enough attention to him so I sobbed in the bathroom at the club because I knew he was going to beat me when we got home but I was too embarrassed to tell my friends at the time” watching videos like this gave me strength so f%#% you anyone hating
When your sister is crying to you saying her boyfriend is constently saying she's good for nothing and he deserves better, you'll agree.
If the goal of these commercials is to send me into a mental fury full of rage and hate, they've accomplished it.
Why did this just make me cry? No more hiding behind the shame...
No More She Loved It, No More Excuses, No More Domestic Violence, No More.
"No more he must have been cheating."
"No more he deserved it."
"No more MAN UP and just deal with it."
"No more he's a man so he can take it."
"No more men aren't supposed to tell."
"No more you're a punk for letting your woman beat you up."
"No more he's a man so he must have wanted it."
"No more it' just 2% percent like a gallon of milk."
"No more you go girl."
I sure didn't hear that in this PSA since it's only men who do the beating and abusing while women are always innocent.
This is so amazing. Her voice is just... I can't even put it into words. And this whole campain is great!
NO MORE ONLY.BLAMING MEN.
NO MORE ONLY acting like Women being victims.
No More preventing men from using self defense.
I love you for saying this. We can keep strong!
Dear NFL: your employees are the abusive people, not your fans. This should be played in the locker rooms not on commercial breaks
No more short shorts
I am so glad that they have decided to do this. We all need to care a little more. We have become too desensitized about violence and abuse.
It is a good point. The main way we become desensitized is through the very programs the actors in this video appear on.
Why is this commercial mainly aimed at men? Some of us men actually treat other women with respect.
No more dealing with women, No more paying for dates, No more TV, no more movies, No more Democratic Party
If only I had a magic wand.
Search MGTOW on YT. From the sounds of it you are already a scholar.
No more marriage. (or white-knighting)
no more not being able to criticize women
No more paying billion dollar settlement in a divorce, losing the house, car and boat.
John Johnson that escalated fast.
The comments section makes me sad. I need to remind myself never to read the comments section!
gamersxs It's not about my opinion being challenged, it's about crude and attacking statements with no valid basis.
I know what you mean. I just give up on the world whenever I hear the word 'meninist.'
Anna Jolie
Domestic Violence is about equal, but when was last time you heard that?
Continuous bombardment of one-sided messages does good to no one.
Mentalidade Logica ''Domestic Violence is about equal''? I don't really get your comment?
Mentalidade Logica And this ''No More'' campaign actually focuses on both male and female domestic violence.
another problem with this PSA is it ignores that criminals by definition don't care about your rights.
Apparently it's only sexist if it discriminates against women? What a wonderful planet I live on. SMH
Yes , indeed and I think No More is geting enough private and public concerns about this that I am hoping their PSAs will add male victim references because some of us are not going to let them off the hook until they do.
I'm using all these saying every time I hear about rape or domestic violence with somebody
I just searched up “No More Advertisements Foundation” and find THIS.
this is so important, it should have more views than it does.
+Kitty Kayla yeah if only more people saw this, im sure no more of whatever it is would stop happening
LOL
Totally agree. Women have been largely ignored throughout history when it comes to violence(and so many other things) and and as soon as we start speaking up about it men seem to want to shut it down or complain they are being left out. If the people commenting here were really serious about helping to put an end to domestic violence and sexual assault they would have more productive and intelligent things to say!
Only just found this video. While it is a little disappointing that there is no specific reference made to men who experience DV in the clip if you look at the website and posters it does feature in the campaign. Just thought I would point that out given all the comments already posted.
How hard would it be to put it in the clips?
I wish people would stop complaining about this being gender specific. This campaign just HAPPENS to be about women. Should there be more male focused campaigns? Yes, I agree 100%. But don't bash on this one just because it's not, it's still a fantastic video for a GREAT cause.
Personally, I am VERY PROUD to be apart of an organization that is women focused when it comes to Domestic Violence. Women helping women! AXΩ!
No more condoms. Guess we're going bareback.
This was the study I was referring to in another comment I gave. Thanks for giving the link to it!
Why do I find these commercials so funny?
This video is informative, but only one sided. Women being sexually assaulted is, has been, and will continue to be a discussion... But the things we aren't discussing is the fact that it happens to men. As much as it happens to women, and maybe a campaign for that should be started. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying don't do anything for women... But let's help our men as well.
No more " I get paid to act like I care." Everything they said was right! But no one said it until it was produced. Awesome initiative; F minus on the personal follow through. No more Madison Avenue!
Yes, thank you!
Because women are angels who would never perpetrate domestic violence and sexual assault, duh!
NO MORE TO DOMESTIC ABUSE, CRIMES, RAPE. NO MORE BYSTANDERS. BEING A BYSTANDER IS A BETRAYAL! GET INVOLVED AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE. YOU CAN SAVE A LIFE!
No more excuses for blaming men. No more excuses for not protecting men. No more silence over the number of men and children being hurt. No more silence about female abusers. No more silence over the underlying acceptance - and even humour - about female on male violence. No more violence by anyone, on anyone.
Is that Sergeant Benson from SVU at 0:12?
I love the Awareness expressed in this Campaign Video!
Actually that is the point of this PSA. That victims get ignored. If they did not, there would be no need for a PSA such as this.
Thank you for posting this, if we all do somthing. We could help others so much
