This was wonderful! I’m definitely adding a few of these to my watch and read list! I love the 1949 Little Women…it was the first one I ever watched so it has a lot of nostalgia. ❤
Thank you for some great recommendations! Shop Around the Corner and It’s a Wonderful Life (along with White Christmas) are some of my all time favourites ❤ My go to Christmas Carol movie rendition is the one with Alister Simms.
Great video -- thanks for the recommendations. I agree with the films @JacquelineCaron mentions. The Little Women you talked about was the version I grew up watching. And you know how I feel about Emmett Otter! 😉
I love these classic movies! Ive seen all but the heaven allows one and they’re season traditions. Wonderful Life and Shop around corner are favorites 🤣 I watch Christmas in Connecticut every year for the atmosphere… the married woman part bothers me, too. Holiday Affair is another good Christmas classic even though I don’t like robert mitchem🤣 And Holiday Inn is wonderful…which is where the white Christmas song originated 😄
I love Holiday Inn too! I don't think I've seen Holiday Affair so I will look into that one. Hopefully you can find a way to watch All that Heaven Allows!
I ALMOST watched Going My Way as part of this video but didn’t have time to I’ve added it to my list to watch :) I will look for Our Vines Have Tender Grapes too. Thanks for these ideas! (I love Agnes Moorhead!)
This is so fun! I just discovered It Happened on Fifth Avenue last year, and I love it! I just read The Cricket on the Hearth and thought it was great! I've been wanting to read The Romance of a Christmas Card and watch The Bishop's Wife and you just made me want to read/watch them even more! 😍 Holiday sounds so good too! I definitely get your criticism of Christmas in Connecticut, and I still love it. I think if the sailor was less charming, I would maybe like it less. 😂
He is QUITE charming 🤭 And I just added the link to reading Romance of the Christmas Card for free online. Let me know what you think! And let me know if you watch The Bishop’s Wife! It’s a bit “quieter” than Christmas in Connecticut.

I don't know how I missed ever seeing it? But it's pretty great. Thanks for everything, Jen!

I like the Muppet Christmas Carol movie 🙈
I love the 1949 version of Little Women, it’s my favourite. Especially at Christmas time ❤
It does have lovely winter vibes 🎄

Little Women is a classic for a reason! And how in the world did I miss out on Emmett Otter when I was growing up?!
Love Emet Otters Jug Band Christmas!
I can’t believe I hadn’t even heard of it before this year!

'Going My Way' is a very heartwarming holiday-ish movie. Also, 'Our Vines Have Tender Grapes' ( also stars Agnes Moorehead ).
