Haha! Roll your skirt! That was what our form teachers used to tell us in the 1970’s. Some things never change!
Loved the crisp tasting when Lillia popped her eaten crisp back in the packet and was like “not for me” 🤣
What a great reading she does. I would have skipped and stumbled but she doesn’t. Thanks for story I’ve never known about. Loved it. 😊
Yes, we have a Primark in King of Prussia and Willow Grove in Pennsylvania. I love Primark! These towns are outside of Philadelphia.
The mall in King of Prussia is the second largest mall in the United States!
There are definitely Primark shops in the States so you’re wrong on that one Phoebe! Hope Lilia liked her trip to Brunel with Dan x
Never heard of Primark. I love your cross stitch!
I have lived in my house for 21 years now and I am still making decisions. 😊 As I watched this I kept thinking, I will be sad when vlogtober is over. You and your family are delightful! I hope you continue to feel a better each day! ❤
I can't believe that Dan is an Iron zmaiden fan so am I, dies he like any other rock or metal band? Loved your gallery wall and the history over it all. Mark
Hi Mark, l also like Metallica, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Royal Blood, Def Leopard and loads more. Guitars, bass and drums - love it!
Ali, if you are unwell get your husband/daughters to help with the chores.
I so miss those teen eye-rolling years. Mine are all adults now and I find they are even more cringey that I'm sure I ever was! :)
😄 I feel I’ve had a good day of I’ve managed to induce a good few eye rolls 😂
Ooh - Flannel Isle is coming!
23:51 Ooo that’s a bit spooky, decided to catch up on your Vlogtobers whilst I restock thread cards. Doing the Extraordinary ones just as you share your progress! So pleased you’re still enjoying stitching him (and your new needle minder too) 😁
I also really enjoyed Legends and Lattes, there is a clear favourite character for me that I hope is in the next book. I was introduced to Victoria's channel through you and wanted to thank you. It's really helped my reading mojo. 📚 x
Same here! She inspires me to read more 😃
We do have Primark in the US! A new one just opened in Hanover Maryland. It looks like there aren't very many, and they are all on the east coast.
There is one in Chicago.
We have Primark in the US!!! We have a few great ones here in New England.😉❤️ Actually, I love the Boston, Massachusetts store!
Indigo Rose Tomatoes. 😋 They start to blush a bit red when ripe. (Sun Gold Tomatoes are the best!)
Aaah thank you! My brain couldn't remember! They are so pretty and very tasty :)
Hi Ali, I just looked it up and super surprised to find there is Primark in America. There is even a store in NYC in Queens!
I used to roll my skirt ha ha ha
Yes we have primark here in Philadelphia it’s been here for about 4 yrs
We do have Primarks Phoebe not many but we do!
Love Mia in the basket. Just so sweet. Earlier today I thought how exciting that Ali’s mum will be reading a story soon - and here you are mentioning it - brilliant. Cannot wait to watch now. ❤
No Primark in Ohio, Kentucky, or Michigan. Enjoyed your Alice gallery! I have some prints that I need to get out and frame, some waiting for many years. Your cross stitch is looking fabulous - just as wonderful as your sister's. Maybe you and your sister could stitch on something together for your Mom? Just a thought. Have a lovely weekend. Glad HeyHey is getting some feathers back from her moult.
No Primark near me in Central Illinois but I guess they have it in Chicago.
Yes, we do have Primark. There is one in Boston.
Get well soon. Always enjoy your vlogs. Have been diagnosed with covid, determined to get better and stay well during the winter.
Yes, we have Primark in the US. At least on the East Coast...
Sorry Kid, Yes we have Prime Mark. Not sure everyone does I have one by me in Connecticut
Love love love Mia Time to treat yourself to another Basket!! !
That basket IS a perfect Mia size 🐱 A little throne for our queen 😆
I don't comment very often but I love love love your vlogs, they help me get thru my more difficult days. Dealing with autoimmune disease is not all its cracked up to be. You may look great on the outside but feel like a bag of beaten rocks on the inside. ❤❤
Oh my primark has looked at coming to Canada in 2020 but not here yet. My favourite veg is can peas. I drain them and eat them right out of the can. But only when no one else is at home. Brussel sprouts my second favourite veg. Which we eat 4 or more times a month. Slice in half. Pan fried in a bit of olive oil, salt pepper then topped with cheese whiz.
Love your Alice wall♥️♥️♥️
Thank you very much for your lovely podcast, i really enjoy all your podcast. ♥️♥️♥️♥️🐓🐓🐓
I got Legends & Lattes on my kindle - it’s only 99p 📚 bargs 😂
absolutely wholesome again!! i love the staircase gallery. cheers 🥂 (crocheting for halloween and watching your videos is always a treat 💛
The Maid and Legends & Lattes are wonderful books 😊 Loved your Alice wall. Hope you feel better soon x
You need another knitting basket 🤣Mia can only lie in one at a time so you will always have one available for your knitting.
Mia will probably know exactly which one to lie in because that one will hold the project you want to work on 😂
Thank you for all the lovely vlogs xx
Be gentle & kind with yourself 🤗
So true! 😂 Thank you Natalie xx
They were opening a Primark in New York when I was there in June 😋
and there was a Primark in Berlin and Tarragona, Spain. They’re global now!
I just finished The Maid on Libby (ebook version) and zi really enjoyed it.
Yes, we have a Primark in PA, USA
Oh I read “Legends and Lattes” cause Victoria recommended it a few months back. It’s a lovely read. Just one word of advice: be prepared for massive cravings of coffees and sweets treats 😂
😅 thanks for the warning!
Love that Mia love your basket. 😄 Could you find a shallow one that would fit in the top so you could lift her out? Thank you for the Twisted Tale books, bought the box set for my Granddaughter for Christmas.
We have been in our house 18years and I am still making decisions! Great vlog. Thank you for making the effort even though you are feeling poorly xx
We have Primark in New Jersey, USA😊
I don't often comment but I just wanted to say thank you so much for your lovely vlogs! I've watched you for about 4 years now and always look forward to the next vlog. I had a giggle about Phoebe's comment "mum, you've said that about 10x now!" and your response "I know!" I've got 4 daughters so can relate! 😂
Hi Ali, have you read any of the Richard Osman books, you'll really enjoy them, I'm on the third one now out of four. The Thursday Murder Club books. Xxx
I just got the 4th one now!
The books are so good. Read them all.🇨🇦
I have! I listened to the first two on audio and then the narrator changed, so I have the rest in paperback ready to read, loved them!
We have Primark in America. They are few and far between, but they are here. Phoebe seemed so certain 😊
No Primark here in Canada.
We do have Primark in the US; I’ve been to stores in Philadelphia, Chicago & Boston!
Love the staircase gallery. Definitely recommend that your viewers give WhatVictoriaRead a try. Got my bookmarks the other day too, I love them. I'm currently reading Legends and Lattes and really enjoying it x
Gosh there is a Primark on State street in Chicago.
❤ fab vlog I'm still struggling with my back so have done very little this weekend. Hope you're feeling better soon x
Hope you feel better soon Rebecca! Back pain is so debilitating xx
Hi Ali, hope you feel better soon xx
I've lived in Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma and now North Carolina in the US and I've never seen or heard of a Primark (not sure of the spelling either, lol).
There are primarks in America
Just picked up the maid for my upcoming trip to see my family in New Jersey. No primark in California .
We have aldi and limited lidl stores.
Can you please tell me where you have a Lidl in California? My brother lives there and he's pretty sick of me telling him about all the great things at Lidl!! There are many Lidl stores on the east coast. Adli too, another one of my favorites.
In US online the sun glass at Primark range from $1-$4 dollars.
Hi from New Zealand ❤, check out the corner of craft she is a yarn dyer who has done a collection based on the book legands and lattes....😊
Love Hannah's yarn! 🤗
You can buy those chips and the girls won’t touch them. LOL
Great Aussie accent Phoebe! Thankyou for sharing your daily life🙂 I am watching from Bunbury Western Australia, Diane Buswells home town🙂 My daughter went to school with her.
No Primark I'm in Louisiana.
There are several in US.
No we do no t have Primarks in the US! But we do have Dollar General, Dollar Tree, gone up to $1.25 after Covid. eh
We have several. You can find them online.
We have Primark in America. There is a website.
I read Legends and Lattes on the Libby App from the library. Love the Alice wall, have you seen the Alice art canvas that was in the shopping centre in town?
Oh my gosh no?! Which centre? I’ll have to hunt it out! 😃
@@ThisLittleWonderfulLife Right near where you shop at Aldi. 😂 go in centre doors and on the right, up on the wall. It has a hand print on it from a girl called Alice. 🙂
I could not enjoy Phoebe and Lilia more…so funny and delightful!
No Primark in California 🤔
I’ve got The Maid - It’s one of many on my bookshelf 📚😬😂 apparently it’s really good!! Also Verity is - have you read that one? x
I am LOVING the audio of The Maid so far! I haven't read Verity though!
I have to ask. As a crocheted I think I'm finally ready to knit some socks but I'm not sure wether to start on dpns or circular. I have attempted dpns and have got the cast on down but then get twisted or lose stitches should I struggle threw or try circular?
I have been knitting socks for about 5 years and started by using 9 inch circulars. Once I’d knit a few pairs and understood the construction I tried dpns and got on much better with them. Now I knit the main part on circulars and the toes on dpns! I hope you do knit some socks, they’re a lot of fun and you can easily customise them. You can knit them anywhere too!
Hello regarding your question l would always recommend using circular needles for socks it is so much easier and faster l use u.k size 2.25 with a 24 inch cable which l find is much more comfortable to work with than a smaller cable do have a go you won't regret it circulars once you have got the hang of them are brilliant compared to son's wishing you lots of sock knitting fun😊😊😊
For the word son's it should say D P N 'S 😅😅
Great responses to this question already! I started on short circulars, but found the heel part quite complicated using those, then I used magic loop (on circular needles with a much longer cable) for quite a long time and really liked that. Then eventually moved to DPNs which is now my favourite.
Very Pink Knits has lots of tutorials for all methods! Persevere and you will eventually find your favourite method :) xx
@lynnturner3070 thank you
Teenage girls and rolling their skirts is a tale as old as time…! 😂
Eating green tomatoes can give you gastrointestinal distress if you are sensitive
Oh my goodness! Phoebe you nailed the Australian accent. Maybe just add a bit more ‘nasal’ to your voice ?👍. I really dislike the Aussie accent. I’m allowed to say that as I’m Australian 😅😅😅.
🩲
According to Google there are 17 Primark stores in America.
Huh. Apparently there are Primarks in the US.
Answer is YES Phoebe :)
Got behind,,,, in vlogs,,,getting caught up,,,,,
Feeling better now ,I hope,,,,,!!!
Elaine 💖🎃🍁
there is a Primemark in America. It is at the mall in Braintree , Mass. There is also one at Downtown Crossing in Boston, Mass
We do have Primark in the US! The closest to me is in Philadelphia
Just subscribed to What Victoria Read, looking forward to checking out her channel. Thanks for the tip ❤
I have just purchased 'The Maid' and 'The Strawberry Thief' and after you spoke about The Twisted Tales books I downloaded 'The Unbirthday' story of Alice in Wonderland, I'm now set for a while x feel better soon
Just back from NYC and they didn't have a primark there.. It was Old Navy, H&M and Gap and Century 21.. i'm sure more brand shops but that's all i saw,
Loved the tour of your stairwell gallery! It was so funny to watch you and the girls trying out the Christmas Pudding flavored crisps! And please tell Phoebe that we DO have Primark in the US. In fact, there is one in the town next to where I live and I’ve shopped there.
When I was at grammar school (before comprehensive education came in) we didn’t have skirts till 6th form. In the first 5 years we had grey gym slips which were impossible to shorten except by actually taking the hem up.
Thank you for being kind enough to show my bookmarks, I really appreciate it! 💛
Lovely video, no primark in Texas. Christmas pudding crisps 🤪 oh no got so into the video I forgot to purl 😞 now frogging a row 🤔
I am so enjoying these videos! Thank you for sharing your life. I am curious about your lamp that you use to work on your crafts. It seems perfect. Can you share the name?
You are doing an amazing job getting a video up every day when you're not feeling 100%. Like Dan, I'm on a lot of steroids for a different condition & feeling a bit rubbish but loving your daily check-ins.
We do have Primarks here. There’s on at a mall about 40 minutes away. But it looks a bit more upscale than the one in the UK town where my son lives!
We are getting a Primark here in Virginia next year :) loves you and phoebe in the car - ah, I have a teen so I know the ‘tude sometimes lol
Hope you feel better ❤
😅 The 'tude is real!
When we had a cat, she claimed the three pillows and iron stand we bought the same day from Pier 1 for our housewarming as her perch instead of an expensive cat bed. A couple of months later, we bought a wreath from somewhere and wouldn't you know that she started sleeping in the wreath box. She never slept in her cat bed. Her name was Gracie and she told the all the tomcats off.
Your gonna have to buy a basket for the not our cat… lol Mia
🐈🧶📚 Suze 🥰❣️🤗 Big hugs xxxx
We bought our house 2001 and did major major renovations and then moved in the first day of Jan 2003 . Twenty years now and we decided a month ago to paint the exterior another color , repair wood frames , clean floors by a professional ,repaint everything metal outside , painting driveway ,…. In the middle of it all . Messy but exciting . Rearranging furniture happens frequently in our home . Decluttering too happens regularly . Clear home , clear mind !
We have K Mart in Australia 😊
I have never seen a Primark in the US, but it is apparently on the east coast (I'm on the west coast.) I'm still amazed at the cost of grocery items in the UK. Even with the conversion, everything is about 1/3 the cost of what we pay here. I need to visit and buy all the Christmas chocolates! 😁
We were just discussing how expensive food shopping is at the moment! I didn't realise it was so much more state side! Tough times xx
Smiling at Mia in your knitting basket. Many years ago I had a large yarn basket full of cakes of wool. My cat was absolutely sure I had put that basket there for his napping. So...I spiked it with knitting needles-points up, and he found a new napping place. I got tired of knitting his long fur into whatever I was knitting. 🙂
Legends and Lattes is such a fun read, I'm not a fan of fantasy at all and I loved it.
No Primark in Upstate NY !!
There are several in US.
Hm.. without the cloud, there can be no silver lining😮 Loving you vlogs, Ali. Be well ❤❤❤ I just left my green tomatoes in the sun or warmest window and they ripened successfully. ps teenager should be cleaning up after her/theirselves.
Ali, thank you so much for the tour of your gallery wall again. I really appreciate it … looks gorgeous ! ♥️♠️♦️♣️. The girls reactions to the chips make me laugh out loud. So very funny - Phoebe is a crack up … love your Aussie accent (I am Australian)
Like everyone else I will miss your Vlogtober so much .. hoping you’re up for Vlogmas too 🤞 Thank you for taking the time and effort to share your lives with us .. super super fun family
The Alice - gallery wall is beautiful 😍
I was about to write is Phoebe talking in an Australian accent & then you explained it .. it sounds like the Norris Nuts on RUclips. I have a daily disagreement with my daughter about how far her skirt is rolled .. standard secondary school behaviour it seems 😂
Phoebe LOVES the Norris Nuts! I think that's where her love of the accent comes from 🤗
