The brown paper for tracing frames was a really good tip. I've been wanting to do this too but it seems very intimidating. I need to finish painting our stairway first but then I will try this out! I love the black and white photos with black frames. It looks lovely!!!
I just wanted to rell you how much I admire your everything! You make having a large family look easy. You remind me so much of the 1950's and 60's. I miss those times and most young people today in the "me " generation dont get it! But you do God Bless you and your family and have a Happy Holiday season.
Oh Wow!!! Absolutely beautiful, and I just know that your precious kids are so blessed to see themselves in family photos every time they use the stairs. So great!!
It's a lovely idea and really quite a good place to display family photos and even do 'musical photos' as people are added to the family and grow and change, so things must move around.
PERFECTION! It looks amazing. It makes a stunning visual impact. I really liked your "self-talk" to just take the plunge and begin the project. So worth it! I read somewhere that when you are tracing the frame shapes on to paper, you can also poke little holes where there are picture hanging hooks...so that when you hang the paper in it's final location, you know exactly where to hammer in the hangers! =}
I love the idea of the Gallery Wall!! Brilliant idea of tracing the frames before you hang them! I personally would be hanging the black & white photos in Antique frames. It is more time period with your beautiful Historical Home 🏠🎄📷❤️
Well done Lisa and the pictures are so great ! I love the black frames with the black and white photos. Beautiful family ! MARRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !!! 🌲🌲❤️❤️🌲🌲❤️❤️🌲🌲
How lovely. Looks amazing. Earlier this year I also did a stair wall gallery. The frames are just like yours. They are paintings my children did at home and at school when they was little. They are 29 and 34 now. They appreciate the fact that i treasure them and many other items that I’ve kept over the years 💖
I love how it turned out. I have a gallery wall, but it’s too busy. I may turn the pics all black and white. I am truly inspired by your productivity-even with a baby in tow! I only have three kids, now teens, and I could barely take a shower. Funny now, but not so funny then. Thank you for the inspiration!
I love the densly packed picture look! I'm working on a long wall in my hall the same way. But what I love about yours is the black frames, the black and white photos, the casual real family look!
Awe! It turned out beautiful. I had a gallery wall too. In my old house it was in a hallway. In this house I am in now it was in the stairway. My 6 kids used to crack me up because they always call my gallery wall their gallery wall of shame...lol. The pictures were their senior pics taken at school. Those pics always look a little cheesy so thats why they call it their gallery wall of shame...😆 God bless and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
It looks great!!! We did ours about 16 years ago now and we love it!!! We used mismatched frames, but it fits our crazy family!!! 😂 yours is polished looking and amazing!!!! Enjoy!!!
It looks perfect! Love the simplicity of the black frames & b/w pics. 😍 I absolutely love gallery walls & using kraft paper has helped sooo much. Now, I also use canva for choosing which pics to print - upload a shot of the frames arranged on the floor & then just upload the various pics & adjust the size to “fit the frame”. Takes time but is easier on my brain to not feel overwhelmed with what I can’t actually see AND it’s easier to do on my phone or laptop in an evening. 👍🏼
I did a similar wall on our stairway wall. We moved here 25 years ago, and it was our first time to have a stairway. I made that into our ancestry gallery, with photos old and new, color and black and white, old frames, some of antique quality and some new, all different colors of frames, some matted and some not. I traced out the frames on butcher paper and wrote who was in the photo and put arrows to show portrait or landscape. Recently, we took them all down to paint the wall (haha, “recently” was 3 years ago!) and I want to reframe the pictures before putting them back. I have decided to go with all one color of frames, not necessarily same frame, just same color instead of such a mishmash of colors. Our stairs are straight up, 19 steps, so it’s a nice, long gallery wall. I will trace them out as before. It is so much easier to move paper and tape than frames and nails! So enjoy seeing what you do and how you decorate your old house! Mine is an 1896 Victorian.
This is great Lisa! One of the projects I've been putting off as well (same reasons as yours) and NOW you've given me motivation to conquer it! Blessings and Merry Christmas!
I Love how this turned out, Lisa. I’ve done this too, I like your thoughts on placement for this presentation so you aren’t left with a ton of nail holes in your wall, too.😆😂❤️ Chris
You are amazing! Thank you for the inspiration! We are a farm family of all girls from Kansas! Us girls do the milking, farming, and ranching with our Dad! We are new subscribers! Our fourteen year old girl is the voice behind our channel! Congratulations on your newest little blessing! May the Lord bless you all!
It may be a bit late to give hints, but you might try taping to the back of the mat (tape on back of photo, then position on the mat and press onto the back side of the mat) rather than background. Also, masking tape is better that clear tapes for this purpose. Looks lovely, by the way.
It looks great. But I am not going to lie...those frames are very expensive! Necessity says my frames will come from Dollar Tree. But it's a great idea.
You guys did a great job! I’m wanting to do one in my home as well but currently I have mostly color prints. I think I need to go to Walmart & copy in black & white; have you done that? 🎄♥️🎄
I want to do this, but my family pictures are from the 90's all in color printed photos. Does anyone know how to change color to black and white, they also need to be blown up to a larger size. Old school here any advice would be much appreciated. The easier solution the better for this old lady.
Beautiful. In our home. Its our second marriage. My husband passed away 19 months ago but he and I had a wall for our families. Since I was 13th child I had longest wall. But we added our grandbabies and I'm just keeping up our tradition. As his children give me pics i will change out. It's wonderful walking down hallway with my memories . Merry Christmas sweet lady and Daniel was just too cute. ❤
It is hard to believe you have been at the new farm three years! Yet, when I think of everything you have accomplished, it makes it a bit more believable, I have loved seeing the growth of your channel. When I first subscribed, you had about 60,000. Wishing your family a very Merry and Blessed Christmas.
Wow!! So beautiful Lisa! We have a really large entry and the steps are right in front and I have been wanting to do something like this. Thanks for the sharing! ❤️
That gallery wall turned out so beautiful above the stairs! I like how you used some bigger frames abd the black and white pictures! Black and white pics really go with your home! Merry Christmas!
I'm surprised you went for the modern/urban aesthetic of black, basic frames (what I have - I'm in Manhattan). The arrangement is great but your home doesn't really speak to that aesthetic for the frames. You love collecting eclectic, decorative frames & art (plenty of vids you've made). I get it... you're making content and you just wanted to get the pics on the wall. It just felt like a disconnect to me.
Do Not Use clear tape or Scotch tape! These tapes are not acid free and will turn the corners of your pictures yellow. Find an acid free tape (usually located in the framing section of a hobby store.)
I love your photo gallery but I also loved the purse that was hanging on the end of your banister in one of the shots!!😊 Would you please share where you got that purse?
Lisa, you'll never know the comfort and joy you, your family and your videos bring me! Thank you for all you do. XOXO
Your kids are going to love staring at those photos!!! The whole collection is so aesthetically pleasing!!!
Oh my goodness, Lisa, I cried most of the way through this video. Look at your beautiful family! ❤ Perfectly placed to walk by every day 🌹
The brown paper for tracing frames was a really good tip. I've been wanting to do this too but it seems very intimidating. I need to finish painting our stairway first but then I will try this out! I love the black and white photos with black frames. It looks lovely!!!

You have a very good looking family and I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and the best of health and happiness in 2022! God bless.
Merry Christmas and God bless your family as you celebrate the birth of our Saviour .He continues to be our only hope for this fallen world
Just beautiful
It's a lovely idea and really quite a good place to display family photos and even do 'musical photos' as people are added to the family and grow and change, so things must move around.
That came out great and love the photos. The one on Danny is such a great picture ❤️

They're beautiful!! I love the one with all the kiddos!!!
I love the matching frames and the black and white photos! I think the wall looks awesome!
I love the black frames❤️

Love all the little and big touches you make to your home!
I love the idea of the Gallery Wall!! Brilliant idea of tracing the frames before you hang them! I personally would be hanging the black & white photos in Antique frames. It is more time period with your beautiful Historical Home 🏠🎄📷❤️

Love it!! I love the idea of paper before actually hanging
Beautiful 💕

I think it looks fabulous!!

Turned out wonderfully!

That's beautiful Lisa 😊
So smart to trace the opening for placement of the photo in the frame!!
Turned out great! Love it!
And your wall looks great
Looks super Lisa. Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year 2022!
Thank you for sharing your wall gallery! I got some great ideas/ tips!
I’ve been wanting to do this too and have been struck by indecision lol Thank you for sharing💗
This is great Lisa! One of the projects I've been putting off as well (same reasons as yours) and NOW you've given me motivation to conquer it! Blessings and Merry Christmas!
Love this! I always pictures that in your house! It looks great!
Looks Wonderful.
I Love how this turned out, Lisa. I’ve done this too, I like your thoughts on placement for this presentation so you aren’t left with a ton of nail holes in your wall, too.😆😂❤️ Chris
I love gallery walls. The black frames look nice but I think vintage frames would look better in your vintage home. Just my opinion. 😊
I love that! Very pretty! Gives me some great ideas ☺️.
I luv it!!!!!
Love!
Looks awesome!
New subscriber!! ✨So pretty!!!✨🤍
Beautiful.🤍🖤✨
Love it!
I've been meaning to do this for years....and yep, OVERWHELMING! 😂
Isn't it?! Glad we finally went for it!

@@annette224m Awww…thank you, Annette! We appreciate your support! Blessings on your Christmas!
Morning Lisa😇

When you find vintage frames to swap , paint them black to match other frames Just a thought. It will look cohesive
You can always mix different style frames as long as they are same or similar color
It looks great. But I am not going to lie...those frames are very expensive! Necessity says my frames will come from Dollar Tree. But it's a great idea.

Hey Lisa.. your gallery wall looks lovely. What kinda nails did you use to hang them? They don't seem like the regular ones.
We started with some picture hanging ones, but then just switched to screws. We found them a lot easier!
Lisa, what are the names of your 2 oldest boys?
I want to do this, but my family pictures are from the 90's all in color printed photos. Does anyone know how to change color to black and white, they also need to be blown up to a larger size. Old school here any advice would be much appreciated. The easier solution the better for this old lady.
Hi!!!!!!
put in some frames with scripture about children, family, etc
Looks great!!

Retha, Sounds beautiful. And I am so sorry for your loss. ❤ Happy holidays!
I am one of 12. Isn't it wonderful growing up in a large family? Never a dull moment. Sorry for your loss.

Joanne, I know it totally amazes me how they do all this while having babies. She is so inspirational!
Has it really been 3 years omg. I remember when they bought the house. Gosh that went fast
Wow!! So beautiful Lisa! We have a really large entry and the steps are right in front and I have been wanting to do something like this. Thanks for the sharing! ❤️

Always have an odd number of frames 1,3,5,7,9 etc design 101. When accessorizing or even gardening
Do Not Use clear tape or Scotch tape! These tapes are not acid free and will turn the corners of your pictures yellow. Find an acid free tape (usually located in the framing section of a hobby store.)
It’s easier if you tape your picture to the back of the mat. No having to use pencil, no chance of seeing the tape once it’s all put together 🙂
Just curious. Do you pasteurize the milk you get from your cow?
WOW Lisa, that looks amazing!!! Just what that space needed. Adds so much to the home. I really love it ❤️. Merry Christmas to you all 🎄🕊.
Very well done!! The gallery wall is so pretty. 👍❤❤
Lovely . Merry Christmas!
That's beautiful 😍
So beautiful
I love it!!!
Hi 👋 I love your channel! I tried to sign up for your master class but when I press submit nothing happens.
www.farmhouseonboone.com/masterclass-registration
I love your photo gallery but I also loved the purse that was hanging on the end of your banister in one of the shots!!😊 Would you please share where you got that purse?
I had to scroll back and see which one was hanging there. :) I don't remember where that one came from. I'm thinking maybe Target.
This project turned out fantastic! Love it!!!!
Thanks so much!
