My dad was a truck driving mechanic in the 70s this truck looks like the one he had beautifully well maintained rest in peace dad keep the hammer down safe and sound
I love these old Transtars. When I was 8 or 9, I use to ride with my Uncle who had a Transtar 4070 dump truck. He had that before my Grandfather purchased two new (at the time) S2600's for himself and my Uncle. The 4070 was sold off to someone else as was the old White dump truck that my Grandfather use to have.
I remember we just walked out of the movie theater after seeing Smokey and the Bandit, waiting for our parents to pick us up. We walked down the block to a parking lot that had the twin to this truck, brand new, parked for a car show the next day. I remember the mudflaps said, Cooley lnternational West Bend, Wisconsin Damn, it was beautiful.
This truck make me 😢 cry 😢....this is one of my first trucks I drive in 1984....I love ❤️ cab over trucks.....you name it....and I drive them all....good memories....
Drove one of those for a short bit. No where near as nice as that one. That’s a beautiful old Cornbinder. Thank ya Miss Red. Keep up the great work. Bruce in Wv!!!
Close enough to Perfect for me. It would look good pulling my new Pro-Haul 40ft Tri-axle Dump chassis 200" wb is how long my day cab is. But my Cascadia has a 48" set back Front Axle.
If he's saying its a Brougham strictly off that old photo, i disagree. Thats not the Brougham paint job to the very best of my knowledge. Not saying that to take anything away from the truck. Its beautiful. Love the wheelbase
@@kizerbread Not a 76 cab, the longer cab didn't come out till 78 and the Eagle Brougham was only in 81. My guess is it's a 81 glider kit with a 76 donor power train. I know in some states you could register them as the year of the glider or the original donor truck, most people used the new glider year to gain some value.
Der Transstar war für seine Zeit in den USA ein recht moderner Lkw gegenüber den anderen. Die Kabine wirkt sehr modern gegenüber pete oder Kenny und Co
I drove these 4070 COE IH tractors in the mid 70s. Ours were bare bones Detroit powered 13speeds. They weren't as nice as this one. For tall drivers cabs were cramped an the suspension beat you too death. Sorry not a fan of this particular model !

No, that photo is how the person before him had painted it.
@@MissFlatbedRed aahhh!
Also if it is a 1976, it definitely isn’t a brougham. Still a beautiful truck.
@tommycobra33 true. Not an 81

Add air ride and swap out to a big cam Cummins 400 then it’s a truck!
