Yo, I love my underground gritty black metal, funeral doom and DSBM as much as the next music snob. But I grew up with Nickelback and still love the shit out of that band. You absolutely nailed this in every way possible and the rendition is perfect. There's a particular nostalgic feel to the early 2000's (everybody has nostalgia from whatever era they come from), and somehow you were able to capture every good part of it. Very well done.

This cover sounds so much more expressive and less cliché than Nickelbacks original, because it does not fit the stereotypical: "Long heared, leather jacket guy, singing with guitar about losing a woman" cliché.

I absolutely love this version, I would call it more of a soft Violet version rather than an Evanesence version. doesnt have the ethereal operettic teasing sound to it nor does it have the hard electronic base drives Evanesence throws in occasionally to their songs to give it peaks leading back into Amy's singing. This is the only Nickelback song I truly loved and I really enjoyed this cover in this style. Avril Lavigne did a cover of this around the time she was with Chad. And she did a completely different style from the original as well and it was sort of similar to this. I enjoyed her slower ballad version better than the original and I definitely like this one better too.

This would fit pretty well on an album with Hello. The difference in the sound mostly comes from the fact that Violet has a deeper voice than Amy Lee.

Saw the title and I literally said out loud “I am VERY interested in this”. Did not disappoint, love it! I don’t know if it’s *exactly* Evanescence like - for example the background orchestral sounds remind me more of maybe Nightwish or something - but it’s amazing nonetheless!

This is the only Nickelback song I truly loved and I really enjoyed this cover in this style. Avril Lavigne did a cover of this around the time she was with Chad. And she did a completely different style from the original as well and it was sort of similar to this. I enjoyed her slower ballad version better than the original and I definitely like this one better too.
