The fact that Eiichiro Oda himself asked Avril to use this and her cover of Bad Reputation for the soundtrack of One Piece: Z is AWESOME. I didn't know Avril was a One Piece fan!

@@mistyisland343 for some people who only wants to have simple story (don't have to think) they pick Naruto instead, that's why many kids loves Naruto, because the story is so simple.
One Piece is different. It's on another level. If you skip an arc then you'll lose plenty of informations. The story is attached from the beginning to the current chapter/episode. Unlike most manga where the writers keeps adding new contents but don't know what to do with it, for example Hunter X Hunter.
I actually discovered Avril because of this song at the end One piece Z.
It's an indescribable feeling when your favorite story introduced you to one of your favorite musicians

An advantage of this version is I can actually make out the lyrics. I'd always assumed Nickelback was singing: "Despite words in my head, scream alwehavvafuyeaah...!"
@@AdmiralBonetoPick Yep, this version is much calmer and clearer in the lyrics (though I always heard clearly what he was saying) While in the original, you can really feel the anger and emotion in the lyrics.
I can't overstate how much I personally love this version. Nickelback's is great, but the piano, slightly slower tempo and overall smoother, softer tone to this one just hits me like nothing else.
To each to their own. I like the original better.
Right? It's a lot more unplugged, and something about that just feels right. I've never been a huge Avril Lavigne fan, but this version is awesome. I never would have discovered it without one piece.
Read somewhere before that how this version is, was how Chad wanted it to be. The record labels made Nickelback record it how the label wanted it instead. Love both version tho

Thx. ❤️ I never forgot the lyrics because this song was my childhood especially thus Avril cover. I will sing this song again just like I did when I was a little girl growing up like a men and I couldn't really cut it and I finally was strong enough to came out as transgender or more like the girl I used to be I've been wrong I've been down to the bottom of every bottle this is how I remind me and this is how this song reminds me of who I really am. It must have killed my Mam but she was happy she already knew that I was still here I used to sing all Avril and Nickelback songs. My entire childroom was filled of Avril posters. etc. I was waiting on a different story and this time I'm not mistaken.

One of the most beautiful and brilliant remakes ever! Avril is such an innovator, the way she can put her own spin on a Nickelback classic and add storytelling from one piece at the end, just truly remarkable stuff.
