So I gave kasabian a swerve back in the day.. Dunno why I just wasn't into it. I saw Tom support Noel Gallagher back in December and instantly fell in love with tunes I'd previously ignored. He's an immense front man and deserves his shot at redemption.
Words can't describe what it was like to be three rows from the barrier for this gig. The atmosphere was unreal, and Kasabian, well, they achieved legendary status after this gig. I remember eyebrows being raised when they got announced as a headliner, but man, did they prove people wrong.
I was traveling across Canada in 2014, checking who was playing in each city I visited. Kasabian were in Toronto, didn't know any of their songs but tickets were cheap. Honestly one of the best nights of my life.

Remember being in the audience that night- was a young lad and didn't know much about Kasabian. But believe me, I was convinced after this MAGICAL set. Have been to 6 shows since including King Power 2016. Delightful.
if you look into it, so many lead singers in rock bands have done stuff similar but the band lives on, and for tom who isnt work known compared to others, i was shcoked to see him expelled from the band

I saw them live a few weeks prior to Glastonbury when they played a few warm up gig's in Ireland. They played a tiny venue in Galway to a few hundred people. It was best gig I was ever at. They played as if they were playing to 100,000 at Glastonbury. Brilliant seeing a band at their peak up close and personal
It's been 4 years since I got to witness this live am everytime I watch this back I get goosebumps this was the best thing I've ever seen live the videos just don't do it justice

This is one of the best Glastonbury performances ever. Tom really was the element that made Kasabian a great band that deserved Glastonbury. There are very few musicians who by their mere presence on stage let you know that this is going to be a great performance and Tom is one of them. That feeling is just there or it's not. The man taught us how to sing all those songs over the years. Good memories

Was lucky enough to walk from my house to see my favourite modern band just before they split, Oasis, who were supported by my second favourite and last of the true finest bands to come out of the UK, these lads. I feel sorry about Tom. Hopefully he is going to get the things together. This might be the most valuable experience in his life and let him find himself. We know that many succesfull musicans ended up with additctions, mental health problems etc. Fingers crossed Tom, life is not over. See you in the future.

I am no way excusing what he done, I think it is disgusting and deserves punishment. But he has apologised, been charged with a crime he admitted to being guilty too and will live with his actions for the rest of his life. I'm not saying I think he should be back in the band either, leaving the band is also another more than suitable punishment. But at what point do we stop continuing to punish him and does rehabilitation kick in? Personally I think I would like to see him do work for domestic violence charities etc which maybe he is doing. I don't know. Yes he was a violent woman beating piece of shit but maybe he's become a better man, is he allowed to become a better man?

Kasabian is the band I saw live more than any other band. And then they started making albums that I didn't like so much anymore (starting with "48:13". just my opinion, if you like them that's totally okay) and then they kicked Tom Meighan out and it breaks my heart that I will never get to experience this feeling of attending a Kasabian gig again. It's like they say: You can never go home again.
I get you buddy, I was a fan since 2008 and every chance I got I tried to go to their gig. Every time it was something incredible for me. But they broke my heart. They burned down that home on their own. I spent many years with their music and they destroyed it all in 6 years. I still can't believe it. For me, this band was a memory from my youth.
